How do you think people normally respond to lewd name calling? You were being a *** and I meant every letter of it.
... just a side note.

We are looking at addressing the concerns expressed in this thread and others about public dungeon boss farming, from the development side. The act of manually farming these bosses, while possibly not very courteous of others who are trying to have a shot at the content too, is not against our Terms of Service. (Purposefully griefing is another story, entirely.) That said, there are some very valid concerns here, and we are looking at ways we can improve upon how public dungeons and the bosses in them work.
If we make any changes to public dungeons and bosses, we'll call them out in patch notes.

The rudeness and ignorance on this forum is getting out of hand. We the players are going through very difficult times with this new game company who have made mistakes, shocking mistakes that will for quite some time hurt them.
I was suspended, I know some who were banned and we all appealed. The system in place for catching those who were genuinely duping or exploiting is flawed beyond belief. Instead of checking account data prior to ban or suspension, a general sweep is done instead.
In the case of the accused he was in a place that is being monitored. Why? Since when is it an exploit to play the game. One friend I have was banned due to standing around a boss waiting to get a hit on the boss target for his achievement. Someone reported him simply for not using /say "I am not a bot".
The absurdity of all this is beyond amusing.
That's true, but given that they just admitted to mistakenly banning hundreds of players, it seems like it might be in their best interests to at least let players know what they've been accused of in a general sense.
No it is never in their best interest. The game is not a democracy.

I'm not arguing that it's within their rights. I'm saying that it's a tradeoff of rights versus goodwill. Regardless of whether the player is actually guilty or one of the mistakenly banned, it seems like people get more upset when they or their friends get banned with no reason.

Even if you suspect why you got banned it shows that you are unsure if what you were doing was kosher. When in doubt... don't do it...
If you think "this could be an exploit...." then for the love of god don't abuse it, just report it that you think you found an exploit.
If the OP's friend got banned over doing the same dungeon over and over, well then does indeed suck... but if he did it "cause the loot is uber in there, all trash drops Grand Soul Gems... I'mma go stock up"... well... then it's debateble

Even if you say it's "debateable", nowhere would someone thinking from a logical point of view deem that permanent ban worthy. There still isn't any notifcation outside of this topic that farming Ondil is a bannable offense. I guess you just have ot play russian roulette with public dungeons on here.
