Two Handers, Dual Wielding, Mages, and Rangers are OP

    shield bash should be an interrupt only, It shouldn't be the hardest hitting skill in the game

    LOL are you serious? my Sword and board shield bash parses higher them my two hand spec and uses way less stam. i dont know what your smoking but i want some.

    The OP is so dumb that I'm not even sure where to start and I haven't read through the pages of replies yet but I'd just like to say that a shield build is defensive and a 2-hander build, especially as a mage is completely offensive. Of course they're going to put out different amounts of DPS. They have different roles.

    It's my second lowest hitting stamina skill....it hits for 220......pierce hits for 214....deep hits for 235+.....btw they can all be spammed. Two hander power attack(at level 15 two handed) hits for 350, and takes no stamina.

    Coming from someone who has used all the melee skills trees.....It should hit and it should hit hard to even the game out.

    I think this game is perfectly balanced now on second thought.

    Yes but those two handers and mages also can use heavy armor and have the same defense.....so we're the same(defensively) except mages and two handers hit for more(or they would if bash was nerfed).

    All If tryin to say here guys is.....if shield bash is nerfed....there needs to be defense passives put into one handed and their defense should be amped up dramatically.

    IMO they should just leave it alone......the game works fine. I kill shield bashers with my two hander all the time and vise versa. Destruction staff is very powerful too.

    Yes and in a 1v1 it should, however in a group fight like a 1v2...two handed owns as far as splash damage goes. I use two handed to clear mobs....not to mention it hits for way more than one handed shield bash does anyway. Two handed does more damage than one handed. imo 350>220

    I think one hand and shield needs a little reworking apart from ransack and deadly bash the skill line is kind of bad, i feel the shield needs to block more damage ... in VR content the hits seem to go right through the block and Ransack > bash>bash>block>bash>bash is a little dull compared to other weapon lines.

    I would settle for the crit buff on molten weapons morph (DK) being raised from 6 secs as a substitute XD

    What does truly need a nerf is VOLLEY on Archer NPC's that thing is insane damage

    This is what I'm saying....one handed is a bad skill line once you take bash away.....personally deep slash and pierce needs to be amped, or it needs to be reworked to have dramatically higher defense. I'm already loving using the two handed tree on my main....so much more damage if you know what you're doing. Spamming shield bash is incredibly boring imo. I wish the stamina abilities just did much more damage like all the other trees. The bleed on two handed is cool.

    "40% armour ?" but the amount of stamina it drains to damage it does is really low, outside of using it once per enemy per encounter its not that great.

    Sweeping strike is not that great, it only effect weapon damage "?" so generally only viable on enemies that wield a weapon. I have seen no vast improvement using it even on those that do have weapons, when i respecced i ignored it completely.

    The two shield skills are lackluster ... Outside of the 2 second stun on the FINAL (generally should be most powerful skill) skill its terrible, really it's that bad.

    Deadly bash is what holds the One hand and Shield line together without it there is no reason to spec into it at all .... You can make a two handed weapon with Defending Trait (Armour and spell resistance percent) and be equal, if not better off than holding a shield.

    Overall the One hand and Shield line consumes far, far to much stamina for damage and/or rewards that i am seeing less and less players using it after the novelty wears off ....
    Once you discover the Defending trait on a two handed weapon or on a single handed weapon there is just no need for a Sword and Shield build when even a dual wield can match your defense gain, while both these lines leaves your damage looking at the floor wondering WTF.

    You can say well its a tank line .... it's really not .... ever seen someone take a shield to the face ?

    i fink magic and healing and melee and stuff is2 powerufl need nerf, nerf everything. hp bars of mobs also need nerfing. stelf need nerf too, so duz bow range nid2b melee, i am wun handed so i need bow range magic animation and all of the aboves damage combined.

    in general terms, a ranger is just a build meant for long range combat, focusing on precision strikes, stealth, and evasion of magical attacks.
    in ESO terms, someone who picks up a bow, and spams volley/snipe/magnum shot/poison injection along with any mid/long range CC to keep enemies at a distance.*

    *Exterminate with extreme prejudice, unless there's a healer aboot.

    I'm trying to figure out which classes/weapons you don't want nerfed? Isn't templars the only one left? Maybe they could be boosted instead.

    LOL sadly melee in Vr content is absloutely underpowered. wait until you get to VR dungeons to make your claim . largely the things you are seeing are situational and dependent upon the fight ending fast. add in a five mob pull and the situation changes drastically

    None of your skills can be spammed like shield bash. Two handed power attacks take stamina, and much more stamina than shield bash, are slower, and no two handed skills can be efficiently spammed. For having used all the melee skills you seem to not understand some basics.

    For quite a long time now, 1 hand+shield has been the best melee weapon with bow a close second. Dual wield and twohander have been trash with either broken skills, or just flat poor design cause a loss in actual dps.

    This is a dumb argument. Derp my DPS on my blah compared to the DPS on my blah. Ok, bash does less damage than a sorc, that's true in every mmo. However, how long can your mage last against 5 people beating on him in pvp compared to your tank? Mages = glass cannons, Tanks=meat shields.

    Also, you can TRAIN A DIFFERENT WEAPON ANYTIME YOU WANT.
