Doesn't this game tie abilities to what the player is wielding & wearing? What I mean is that if a mage is dual wielding, that they just won't be able to use some abilities as the possible arm gestures needed to cast a spell couldn't be made with those weapons or while wearing a certain number of heavy armor pieces?
This is one of the quirks of this game i feel. They left things very open in terms of toon creation. So some people might not have purchased all the abilities in a given tree, i know I didn't get that particular ability yet (although it is high on my list right now as someone who enjoys tanking from time to time). So there are those who built a certain way, which fun to play, might not be the most efficient built for a particular idiom like tanking for example.
