So for the better part of this last week I've been contemplating on why the guild chat is basically showing up the players account ID's instead of characters name, while zone and the others are basically showing your character name.
It seems so absolutely dumb that it's not even funny. I actually have an easier time recognizing people over zone chat that I have in my social guild, with people that I play on a daily basis, just because of their weird id names, and not even a bit of info about their character name, unless I go to guild rooster.
What is the purpose of a character name or a nickname in-game if all you see
@randomid is saying something. Please introduce a function to change this to character name, or just change it by default. I can almost guarantee, no one will complain about it.
By contrary, it will make people feel safer, rather THAN HAVING YOUR LOGIN ID AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE.
Hopefully we, the player base, don't have to go into even more details as to why showing the
@ID was a bad idea in the first place and needs to be changed asap.
Thank you,
Darkro
