Maintenance for the week of March 9:
• NA megaservers for patch maintenance – March 9, 4:00AM EDT (8:00 UTC) - 12:00PM EDT (16:00 UTC)

Are they even attempting to fix anything?

So...my conclusion comes down to the fact that it doesn't seem they are trying to fix anything at all....What was the emergency maintenance for if the same problems are still happening? Where are the updates on the current issues people are having? They say they are aware of the issue and investigating it but where are the players updates? This is very annoying considering, a few people cant even play because their missing skills and gear more than just bank spaces and materials...

Sometimes when you fix one bug, another opens up.

When maintenance keeps happening that means they're working on it.

They don't update if they don't have any good information to tell us. There's no point in saying "we are still working on it" every hour. Telling us once is enough. We know they're working on it. Do you really want them to post in depth code changes on what they're testing/doing?

If you truly think they aren't even trying then you know nothing about programming, support, or the work that goes into making a giant mmo.

The more qq posts people put up, the more they have to read them and it takes time away from actual questions that people are asking.

No no no, they're obviously just turning off the servers and laughing at us.

That's what they've been working towards for years! It's the only logical conclusion.

Dozens of quests have been fixed and refixed. Hundreds of stuck errors, trouble logging in, etc have been fixed. Server performance has increased A LOT. I can't imagine many of you people playing any game. You know everygame that has been released for every platform in the history of everything has had issues right? And most took more than 10 days to fix.

I think, the OP is trying to say, there's not been any patches and there are some issues that are still persistent from day 1, such as missing bank stuff, missing blank upgrades and the likes. It is a logical concern.

Server-side fixes often don't manifest themselves in the form of a patch.

And not everything can be fixed as soon as it's reported. Fixes take time.

Yep, one of them is trying to figure out the coffee maker and the other is finding the bagels.

Seriously, from what I hear they have 3 times the folks working on the DLC for next month than they have working on bugs. Its time to move the content backwards and get all hands on board to stabilize the game. Either that or start having marketing working on your F2P stuff because they are only about 2 months from needing it.
What is written above are my honest opinions. If you agree then; "Great!" If you disagree; "Great!" I really couldn't care less either way.

Granted, however, name for me the last game that only had one client side patch in the first week of gameplay, two weeks if you count early access?

This is about where I'd usually write out some long, relatively eloquent post, trying to rationalize the situation in a way that acknowledges all concerned and shows confidence in the game and its progress. Unfortunately I can't really do that at the moment, because I feel almost the same as the OP.

Zenimax representatives had to be dragged out of their shells in the first few days after launch to even acknowledge issues and feedback we provided on the forums. Those reps probably wouldn't see it that way, but that's the impression that the initial policy of silence gave us. Now, for the last week, they've been leaving us short replies on the more pointed threads, reassuring us they're aware of the problems and working to correct them. I truly appreciate the change.

Unfortunately my patience is wearing thin... each day I log in expecting a patch to download and nothing comes. This goes double each time the server goes down for maintenance. Acknowledgement of the issues is a start, but nothing more; when are they actually going to fix something? Anything. I refuse to believe a team of professionals has not, by now, nailed down a couple of the early launch issues they've supposedly been investigating. What are we waiting for, the next expansion pack?

    Fix. Something.

The skills to make content are not the skills to fix content.

When you say people working on DLC I ask you this :

    Is that skins?

    Environments?

    Story?

    Animations?

    Voice Acting?

Those are all parts of creating content in ESO, and not one would be expected to have the skills to fix PROGRAMMING issues.

And not signs of progress visible to US doesn't mean they are doing nothing as some seem to be implying.

I will agree though at this point having an address to the players put together by someone who knows what's going on but not one of the fixers would be nice.

Yeah, they have our money and credit card details! Their not going to fix anything! I think their working on implementing a cash shop and transitioning to free to play. That's gonna take up a lot of development resources, my conclusion based off of personal experiences and perceptions.

@Harkrider‌ Sure, patch notes... I've been watching them like a hawk, believe me. But with all that's not working right now, the last patch notes are from over a week ago, three days after release. Still can't do the first set of instances in Auridon, which seems pretty high priority. I'm still knocked off my horse every time I run over a fallen stick. To say nothing of the plague of crash issues and bank/guild/whatever disappearances. My wife fell through the planet again just yesterday. I can't join a group of 20 or more in cyrodiil without crashing.

Check my post history if you doubt my support of the game in general, but on this I'm disappointed. I have no doubt someone is working on something and the problems are being addressed, and hopefully some new fixes...but a quick scan of the forum threads around lately will show we're waiting to see them put in.

The bugged quests in the starter zones were an obvious priority and a patch was issued within a couple of days of launch that dealt with the 'easy' fixes.

I would be absolutely gobsmacked if they brought out a patch this early to fix significant problems. It isn't as easy as people think, especially with object-oriented code, sometimes the 'fix' can seriously screw with something further down the hierachy. (Like appendicitis - humans don't even need an appendix. It was a fix to help cows eat low grade grass.)

I'm quite happy with progress on bugs. I want them to prioritise the gold sellers and bots.

If people are not crying about them not fixing things, they are crying because the servers are down for maintenance...

I'd admit their general communication is rather poor, e.g. Is that since release not a word has been stated on if a fix for the Window Mode and crossfire issues is coming... it annoys me as I have one card not being used atm and a poor FPS in PvP to go with it...

But to ask if they are even attempting to fix stuff is an utterly ridiculous question given that the servers have been down 2 times this week, to fix stuff...

As I elaborated on in this thread, it might be worth trying to disable one of your cards. Whenever I had a crossfire setup, I often received negative scaling in unsupported games.
