    I guess I should count myself lucky. I only had to receive the email for the codes once, and I received it as fast as hitting the refresh button on the email dashboard.

    For clarification, I have 2 trusted PC's that I use. 1 has a static IP address, and the other is a dynamic. Each one only received the prompt once, and got the email instantly with the codes(which worked right the first time).

    If it works for some, and not the others, I'm going to have to suggest its not a ZOS only issue, and that it might be a ZOS/ISP issue with the way their equipment communicates with each other.

    My last ISP actually had this issue with the MMO I was playing at the time. Everyone with that particular ISP had IP validation issues, when trying to log in.

    As far as some people not getting the email in a 10 minute time frame, that falls solely on the email provider/email forwarding service. Everyone I talk to in my guilds, that have no issues what-so-ever getting emails fast from ZOS, are using the same type of email account for their gaming accounts... a web based service, with no email forwarding. I can only assume that this is where that problem lies.

    This is merely my personal outcome and ideas on where issues may be. Not saying this is what's going on with anyone here's account.

    I tried dozens of times yesterday, and still have not received even one email. I can get in the game very randomly and sporadically. This is broken and frustrating. Why isn't there more information on why this is happening and what is being done to fix it?

    I've had the same IP address for years and I got this message. Additionally, I was actually kicked out of the game while playing to enter an authorization code. I of course didn't do this and waited about 30 minutes. I then logged back in with no difficulties. There is clearly an error with this system that needs to be addressed immediately. Besides if security is such a problem, why not simply issue authenticators? This experience is making me doubt whether or not my account information is even remotely secure.

    I am also experiencing issues logging on to both servers. I'm asked to enter an access code which never arrives, then, if I wait ten minutes or so I am usually able to log on without an access code.

    I've tried for hours to get this to work. Every 10 minutes or so I request a new code and nothing shows up in either my inbox or my spam. I've been kicked out of the game for using the same computer I've always used since the flipping beta. Wow. I've overlooked tons of bugs and glitches because I like the game, but when I can't even play the game during my "free 30 days"... Talk about frustrating. Feel like I'm being ripped off.

    Yay! Once again Im being asked for a code - which, once again, Ill never receive. This has to stop.

    And support never gets back to me on this issue. Two days waiting...

    i love the emails,where they always open by saying they have no record of me complaining about the issue before,i have emails every single day since the fourth, and they all open with that line. call them,they cant do anything, say someone will email or call you back,it never happens

    this system is good but it is broken right now in the sense towards the users, Steam uses same system but by machine and not by IP address because those change all the time,

    I hardly ever have to use support for games - here Ive already been thru a number of tickets - and the responses have been either completely unrelated or incredibly generic - as if they are simply ignoring my actual problem.

    The ONLY time I was able to get anything solved was when I got one of them on the phone. And even then it took 3 days...

    Once Im ingame I have zero problems - its just getting into the damn thing that's driving me nuts.

    I think they should give you the option of receiving the code via sms instead of email or just send the same code to both.

    I have now cancelled my 6mo. recurring subscription due to this feature. I will play out the 26 days remaining and then go back to free to play as I can't see myself paying to play a broken game...actually I can't see myself paying to not be able to access my game. Thanks for fixing what wasn't broken oh and by the way I have yet to receive this mythical email code. :(

    I really hope they figure out a different way to do this. It is beyond annoying. Unlike a lot of you, I've actually gotten the emails, but that doesn't change the fact that this way of doing things is ignorant. Just as an example, WoW has an authenticator system that can be directly linked with your phone. I went the extra mile and actually bought a $5 authenticator key ring in case my phone was ever stolen/broken/whatever. I know this game isn't WoW (which is a good thing :D ) but it wouldn't hurt to take some freakin' pointers...

    Trying since 6 hours. No emails received.

    In fact, there's not even something going on in my mail servers logs regarding ESO mails, just in case the response is as always "Please check the spam folder".

    Seeing that this is going on for so long, I get the feeling that nobody actually cares. Submitted 2 tickets during the past 6 hours, no response yet.

    Come on - SWTOR has a mobile app specifically for this, Battle.Net as well. I'm sure even WoW offers such a thing. If you're not sure wether your mails actually leave the network at all, don't tell us to "look in the spam folder". Or at least offer a way to change the email address associated with one's TESO account. But no - not even that is possible without getting in touch directly with support. No wonder that the support queue explodes. I appreciate you trying to get things as secure as possible, but BETA is over and testing is up to you now. :-)

    Seriously - I was so delighted during the past weeks, including the beta, and I thought that this game will be so much better handled than all the disasters we witnessed in the past 2 years in term of online game launches.

    But now, I guess I will have to wait DAYS to be able to play again. Not because of system stress, not because of graphics issues. But because of POLICY and highly overloaded support queues. This is unacceptable.

    Been playing the game just fine since launch, now it's asking for an access code which isn't arrive in the mail. Fix this please, I want to play the game I paid for.

    Aside from the detracting BS posts that have derailed the conversation, this is another needless and pointless measure if you guys would please find some other way... like a third party key like EVERY other game out there uses... cause your system obviously cannot handle doing two things at once if thousands of e-mails are being buffered or just dropped by it... really its problem after problem with you people...

    This is most certainly an MTA problem on their side. The mails coming from the authentication backend don't seem to leave their network. Something doesn't scale there.. Now if I can't play because the whole game is down, well, who can argue with that. But not being able to play because an email isn't being transferred. That's a bit of an embarrassment. :-)

    I haven't and I'm not. Zos either made a deliberate choice to implement this for everyone regardless of whether they have a new IP or not, OR the system is broken.

    Would be nice , but given the fact they have dot matrix printers humming in the background... and have yet to master e-mail... SMS would be like teaching Algebra to kindergarteners...

    Does anyone know what percentage of players are having this problem? I'm feeling very ignored. I'm a patient person and willing to wait to have it fixed. But I need to know that the team recognizes this is broken and is actively fixing it. No emails after nearly 100 tries. Not even a 'we got your stinking ticket' email.

I'm sure Blizzard and Bio-ware are secretly throwing you guys a party for all the return customers they will be getting if this isn't fixed soon...i don't care how die hard of a fan you are for ES.. if the game kicks you in the face for playing it.. there is NO point.. and i though FFXIV had a bad launch. wonder if you guys qualify for MMO Darwin Award...

    They probably don't even know about this yet. I got an answer from support telling me to check with the vendor who sold me the game about the "access code". A guy on twitter got a similar response. So ..

    Looks like support didn't get the memo yet. Taking into account that this thread is "trending" for more than a day now and not a single official response has been added.. I guess I will check back in a couple of days to see if they figured out how to set up an SMTP server. ;-)

    Yeah I just don't get it!
    I get the whole IP address message, get a code, enter the code, then the game gives me the same message and asks me to wait another 10 minutes to get another one.

    I've tried a few times now.... :confounded:

    Something is clearly not working with the email system. Maybe include the option to send the code to us as a text to our cell phones.
