U50 PTS: List of errors with the with motif sourcing tooltips

First, why is this information found only in the tooltip for the Crown Store version of the motif? This information should be added to all the tooltips, not just the ones for the Crown version.

Second, here's a list of errors in the tooltips that I see on the PTS, which are easy to spot if you just compare the tooltip text with the achievement text for that motif. The screenshots below contain both the new U50 tooltip text, as well as the achievement text for comparison:

You copy-pasted the Dremora tooltip for Xivkyn; also, the achievement text could use some updating since the IC treasure room chests were replaced by treasure room merchants:
Mercenary comes from any of the blue coffers from ANY of the three pledge givers, not just Maj... this is also a case where the achievement text could also use a bit of updating, since the Undaunted Chests were replaced by blue vendor coffers years ago
AD/DC/EP are missing sourcing info in the tooltip
Soul Shriven is missing sourcing info (but there's also no Crown version, so maybe that's why you didn't bother to add it?)
Dro m'Athra comes from trial coffers, not from boss kill
Why does Dark Brotherhood mention "various zones"? The sacraments are not the DB dailies that sends you out to various zones.
The text for Celestial is confusing. "Serpent Trial"? I haven't heard people call Sanctum by that name in like 10 years. Just say that it comes from the weekly coffers of Craglorn trials... you know, like what the achievement says.
Missing sourcing text for Hollowjack (but there's also no Crown version, so maybe that's why you didn't bother to add it?)
Telvanni/Hlaalu/Redoran: Are you sure about that "Thieves Trove" part? The achievement makes no mention of troves, and, in the 9 years since the release of this chapter, I have never gotten one of those motifs from a Thieves Trove. Maybe the drop rate from troves is just extremely low, or maybe the bit about the troves is wrong.
Worm Cult: No source info
Ancestral Nord/Orc/HighElf/Reach/Akaviri: No source info (Ancestral Breton has source info, though)
Thorn Legion / Hazardous Alchemy: No mention of "final boss" (all other dungeon motifs say "final boss")
House Hexos: No source info
Sul-Xan and Syrabanic Marine: Your tooltip is correct! These are a few of the rare cases where the achievement text is the one that's wrong.
Ancient Daedric. Um. "Template"? LOL
Yffre's Will: Missing info

It's quite a long list. Most of these errors can be spotted simply by comparing your new tooltip text with the sourcing info that already exists in the achievements system. Though there are a few cases (e.g., Sul-Xan and Syrabanic Marine) where the achievement text is wrong and the new U50 tooltip is right.

Not that this need confirming but I did confirm this. This needs to be fixed before it goes live. It will cause confusion for a lot of people on the ones that are incorrect. But all of these should be fixed.

Hey code65536! Thanks for this incredible list. We're working our way through the fixes now, and expect to have them in when U50 goes live at the latest. As to your question, we were already touching several hundred defs, which ups the possibility for error, as you have noted

. This fix was focused around 'reducing regret' and allowing folks to make informed decisions when they are in the crown store, although we could certainly consider expanding this in the future.

Personally I had hoped this would be all motifs regardless of source, not just crown store ones. We have over a hundred motifs and even seasoned players can not know or forget where they're sourced from if they haven't been somewhere in a while. I think a lot of people also expected it to be all motif pages when it was announced on stream.

Yea, I was one of those people. But I do get why it's like this.

So it looks like that they're doing this by changing the existing tooltip text for every individual motif item, and so covering every motif book and chapter would require changing over 1800 individual texts... per language. The alternative is to create separate sourcing text that gets attached to each motif tooltip, in which case they'll only need to manage 136 individual pieces of text per language, but doing that would require code on the UI side of things to fetch that text and to attach it to the tooltip when building that tooltip.

I think if they want to add this to every motif, not just the crown store ones, it would be much better to go the second route, but that has the problem that it requires code changes while their current approach, while messier to scale, doesn't require any changes to any code.
