Happy Halloween season forum friends,
I must say I'm enjoying the community vibes this Halloween. I love how we get to group up and kill bosses together, the crow and hallowjack. Im excited about the rewards too, been great so far. I love the julianos wildgrown chapel house and I'll be working towards getting the fragments for that this event and the following events.

How about you, what has your experience been like thus far?

I'm not a big Halloween person, but the Hollowjack boss fight may be my favorite ESO holiday tradition.

Not really any more. It's the same old same old. Sure there's a new style (with a skirt ugh) but also tons of Dremora and Hollowjack pages that all my characters have completed already.

I get that there will always be new players who have not yet seen nor experienced much of the Witches Festival content. But I personally only just unloaded the final bits of last year's Dremora and Hollowjack motifs within the last couple of weeks. Add to those the Glenmoril Wyrd stuff, and it's just obnoxious anymore. They really should just bundle all those motifs into books to be available via the event merchants. They sell so cheap on the traders now anyway.

Add some fresh rewards to replace the old, not dropped alongside of them. This year's style pages are kinda nice, so there's that. But my favorite part so far is the healthy restocking of alchemy reagents and fish bait I get with this event.

Well, I can't do the Hollowjack boss fight with my preferred playstyle because werewolves cannot sneak, and that boss fight requires players to sneak.

Then, as far as new cosmetics go, there's nothing that werewolves can use. For some reason, I expected there would be something more for werewolves this Witches Festival.

Overall, I'm really disappointed with this event and with the new content in October overall. I spent the first half of the month with other games which added a lot of werewolf content this year.

I enjoy this event. It is perhaps my favorite event.

My elf is a voracious solo hunter of bosses, so the event is a perfect fit as she just does what comes naturally.

And I love how the devs do such a great job with the spooky decorations.

I always enjoy the Witches Festival, especially when there’s a whole group of players as skeletons at a boss or dolmen, and the addition of the festival decorations is great!

I must agree with others that the old style/motif pages should be retired to the grab bag. My favorite thing to find are furnishings! I cannot get enough Apocryphal decorations!

Absolutely. Decided to create some more alts and make use of the XP bonus. Even been doing those Wall Event crafting dailies for some quick levels on my newbies.

I already have the existing styles and motifs, but I am glad they’re dropping plenty. New style is ok, not really working towards it though.

SO MUCH YES!!!!!!!!!!! I got the Hollowjack BUST from the **FIRST** kill this year.... last year (I mean, obviously) I never got it, and tried SO MUCH! I'm so so happy to finally have that shiny statue

AND I've already gotten a candlefly furnishing AND I'm stocking up on all the spooky stuff (THAT I CAN NOW STORE IN MY FURNITURE VAULT HECKIN YAY).

Also I really love all the spooky costumes and housing contests. I made a monster in my Willow's Pond home just to get in the spirit of it all.

OH OH AND I've already gotten 1 piece of the new style, the FREAKIN HAT (which imo is the best part).......

AND I came into this event with 11 tickets (I think? maybe 9, but w/e day 1 I had enough) and bought the first part of the new Julianos home... which I previewed on the PTS and it's *stunning*.

This is an event I grind like a crazy lady just for all the fun furnishings. I wish I'd get more mushrooms, but I'm so happy to stock up on all these goodies that I can now ENDLESSLY STACK (basically).

I'll do enough to get tickets for the house every day but otherwise it's pretty much the same old stuff for mostly the same rewards. I don't need any more Crunchy Spider or Apple recipes.

I like this event because it's possible to get tickets and plunder skulls just by doing normal activities, so I don't feel like I'm grinding for anything, or having to go out of my way to do repetitive quests. I do Hollowjack and Crow once only, just for the heck of it, but otherwise I ignore them.

It's overwhelming because it's too much stuff, most of which I already have so I have to deal with selling duplicates, but not all of it sells well.

I always enjoy the Hallowjack fight and the crow fight. They are fun fights. I'm not a fan of still being spammed with the same dremora pages and other returning items. I wish those would get put on the event assistant. But the rest of it is fine.

Zos keep feeding us MORE OF THE SAME, and i'm beyond tired of it.
The whole creativity and fun goes into the crown store, so no i'm not enjoying anything

The sad thing is that the best events are the older ones such as the Witches' Festival. ZOS hasn't been able to put together anything nearly as good in more recent years.

Meanwhile, other MMOs have events with unique massive public dungeons (with bosses that require multiple players to take down), racing events, jump puzzles and other challenges.

Before ESO can lead, it needs to catch up first.

Witches Fest is always good vibes. Even though there aren’t any new rewards I’m interested in, I like dressing up spooky and doing the Hollowjack fight once a day.

The xp bonus is welcome.

The egregious collision between events is a mess, though. The effective loss of sweepers from clumsy and unimaginative design that replaced functional extant content for something that, for me at least, is broken for quick event tickets is a sufficient participation deterrent given the limited time I have available to play.

Unimpressed.

I quite like the autumn/halloween decorations that are scattered at wayshrines and around the world.

Yes, it's fun. I get to pick and choose from a variety of rewarding content. I like the Hollowjack quest and boss. I don't even mind the crouching phase since it's just a 3 minute event flavour (unlike the hide-and-seek mechs in MoS which form an unavoidable part of dungeon completion).

However all old event motifs (dremora, hollowjack, glenmoril wyrd) get trashed and destroyed. Also I'm not a big fan of the Halloween decorations, even getting flashbacks to the Halloween decor bug which plagued us for almost an entire year.

I just opened two of my 4 Gold boxes from Halloween event. They contained Glenmoril Wyrd stuff. Since you people seem to think it's so valuable, I'd like to return it to the appropriate person, if only I knew who that was.

I'm enjoying the Witches Festival and haven't found it to conflict with the Writhing Wall event so far, since defending a camp gives you an incursion plunder skull, and fighting the special bosses in the invaded delves and public dungeons gives you plunder skulls for those types of bosses. The only other fights I add to those three are a world boss and a group dungeon, which I do in one of the zones where I'm collecting creature fat, undead essence, golden sap, or lightweight fur.

I don't bother with arenas or trials during the Witches Festival, nor do I bother with the two special fights. I tried to solo one a year or two ago and failed miserably, and I don't usually group up with other players unless I'm reasonably familiar with the content and feel like I can contribute to the fight.

I'm also not getting tickets. I did a public dungeon group event, and even though the final boss finished by trying to be me into the ground personally, lol, I didn't get a plunder skull at all. Took a daily for a delve, got a golden plunder skull but no tickets. Yay, more bugs.

Yes, but I do NOT like two events running at the same time(witches/writhing wall).

With two different events running, my objectives clash. Like on one end I want to farm the coldharbour home/style page and do as many of the (crafting) dailies for the writhing wall event. And on the other end I want to finish+start the main storyline on two of my characters and farm the yellow plunder skulls(tickets/style page) for the witches festival. Can't really do both at the same time!

Also, each event has different rules and objectives. I have been playing for years and sometimes even I get confused in everything going on and what I have already done for that day/still need to do that day, for either event.
