So 8000 crowns to get Optimus Prime (coolest thing in the crate set)....but its 8000 crowns. Ouch!
• The lighting wood harvest thing is cool.
• The alligator pet is cool.

But as a male, I am finding anything else in that set even remotely appealing. The majority of the Carnaval crates seem to cater to specific demographics and leave little for other demographics. I love personalties, but no way I can put that dancer personality on my male characters.

I am not bringing this up to be edgy or any "ist", but rather giving feedback that there is little in this set that cater to my demographic. Other crown crate sets always seem to have something to appeal to anyone, but this one is feeling a bit light.

I could spend the money to get Optimus Prime, but I cant guarantee I'd get the cool lightning tool and the alligator pet and I know for sure that I am not gonna use anyhing else in that set.

Seems like the biggest waste of money on crown crates to date.

I can understand the sentiment, even if I only use female characters I get it.

This season I think the Gargoyle Mount is extremely cool and one of the best I've ever seen.
Realistically, I could aim at 3 Skill Styles (Blockade of Shock is cool too, also Vigor and Whirlwind) and the super cute Crocodile Pet.

Being out of Seals I'm glad I don't have much I desire this season; looking forward to the upcoming ones.

Not really a male thing tho is it, it’s a your personal preference thing.
Lots of males have female characters they would use stuff like this on, and lots of males probably also have male characters they would use this stuff on too, whether it’s tongue in cheek or because they have some gender non conforming male characters.
Alternately, lots of females aren’t really interested in skimpy outfits for female characters or might just not be into the theming in general too.

Gargoyle can be good but the saddle breaks it alongside all the "upgrades". So not spending endeavours for that.

The way to put it would probably be them crate season not being really representative of any Tamrielic culture but an over the top, caricatural fusion of real life holidays and events for some reason attributed to argonians. They probably had a theme first and the lore and how to inject it came way after, they're in rights to do whatever they want with this IP anyway. Maybe that's had something to do with localisation plans.

Gargoyle is cool, but I dont like the red stuff on the sides. If it was just a stone thing with glowing eyes, it would be super cool (not that I have ever gotta an apex reward)

The entire crown crate set just seems limited in its appeal to a wider audience.

ya, could be. I am just not seeing the appeal. Ohh well, money saved is money earned.

Well, but it is when you consider the demographic as a whole.

Creating a product to pacify a small group makes less sense than making a product to pacify a large group. As a whole, straight males will not find very much in this crown crate set that is appealing. Of course there will be some who do, but as a whole, meaning majority they will not.

The entire crown crate set just seems limited in its appeal to a wider audience.

Good luck, brother. It's been a pleasure knowing you.

Self censorship is a shame, but I did it anway. Edited to be inline with whatever I am supposed to be in line with.

I mean the edit is probably more sensible than confusing one's own personal opinions and tastes with that of "straight males". I kinda like the sillyness of these crates but I do agree some of the stuff is a little over the top and there's a lack of variety of items. Hope the next ones are more to OP's liking.

The polymorph is cool. But the gargoyle mount, hmm. Itself, looks great, but attaching 2d ribbons to it, distracts from the awesome visual of the mount, and add NOTHING good to the entire visual.

I'd have picked up the gargoyle mount today, but the red ribbons [cheesy 2d ribbons imo] was a deal breaker. Passing on it, until the 2d ribbons get removed and replaced with say, 3d tendrils flowing about, semi-transparent.

Saw your whole reply in the other quote. You are not the mouth piece for all straight men, and even if you were, it just doesn’t matter that one single crate season doesn’t appeal to your concept of The Straight Male. There are soooo many things in this game and others that would be “traditionally” appealing to straight males (and guess what, these things also appeal to non straight males, and any sexuality of plenty of women too!) so I really don’t get what the issue is other than to whinge that you personally aren’t being catered to at all times.

I am also straight male, and, for example, when there is a promo picture of two-seater mount, I prefer when there are male and female characters showcasing it. In ESO, all my characters are also traditional, even if some of them wear... different clothes :)

But I love seeing someone dance, and all the beautiful human body moves can't be limited by gender <3
I've been starving for new dances for a very long time! So now my male characters equip new personality or perform new emotes and enjoy the scenery, and, sometimes, nice company:

    https://youtu.be/C0rz_mNq6yU?si=IS0FbZkgjUrnSlM_

These passionate moves look perfect in mixed gender performance as well, especially synchronized dance looks hot! Dancer personality, /dancefan and /dancefestive emotes - some of the best cosmetic items in the whole game for me now.

So far I've only found one spontaneous dance party, and nobody was socializing in chat - so in those times when I got synchronized moves on this video, I had to do it myself and pray that other players don't disappear while I wait for the sequence :(

I hope to find more people who wish to participate in any spontaneous or synchronized dance parties  I have lot of ideas and I'm open to any ideas too - this carnival stuff is very inspirational.

    p.s.

I also love the moves in recall animation, but I really wish they were part of Dancer personality :'( I don't want to be traveling each time I wish to perform this stylish dance - and a player can't incorporate those moves into their dance party while in Preview menu.

The same happens with a lot of crown crates. It might be the first time they've made ones which don't fit your personal preferences but most crates have a specific theme and so include very few things that will appeal to people who don't like that theme.

For me it's usually the Halloween crates, which range between relistically undead things, lumpy demonic designs and "cute" spooky, none of which fits my characters. You get used to it, and it does mean I get to save seals for when there's a crate with stuff I do like.

Totally agree, it feels great to see people dancing and having fun. Any gender, any species. I probably won't buy anything from these crates myself (though who knows, I might), but I've really enjoyed watching other players having fun these past few days.

OP may have gotten a lot of pushback but overall I agree. This is the first crate that I didn't want anything out of.

The movements / mannerisms are very feminine. The hair is feminine. The extra outfits are feminine. The Apex outfit is another outfit not edited for male bodies.

I'm kind of used to this at this point though. I'm pretty sure the female cosmetics are selling higher or something.
