I noticed that the Combat Bug was still there, but it was substantially reduced in time. That is a good start. I did not notice any performance issues, BUT we were only 2 bars vs. 1 bar vs. 2 bars. The true test will be when we are all POP locked. Identifying a single keep to fight at was a great idea.

I suggest that ZOS open it up when we get to LIVE server, and allow 24 people groups, increase population caps incrementally each day, to see where the break point is.

Thanks so much to everyone who was able to participate! This test allowed us to test out some new data collection tools that are in the Update 45 build, along with gathering data and metrics around disconnects during heavy combat situations (and we were even able to verify one definitive cause for getting disconnected in heavy combat). We are going to wind things down but thank you again for your help today!

Had a ton of fun and glad the data was helpful!!

AD showed up big. We took a butt kicking (DC) for a while there.

Yeah, the first hour was a bit painful but hey, we finally did take Roe.

That was so much fun! I had some great performance on my end— no disconnects— although I saw some players apparently freeze up for several seconds, and there was a minute or two when I couldn’t interact with the siege merchant. But overall, it was great! I hope someone was streaming it for others to watch.

I would like to suggest that players NOT interrupt people rezzing their fellow players NOR burn FC camps. I think it best that we keep as many people in combat at ROE as possible without having to ride all the way from Alessia (for EP players) or Nikel (for DC).

My bad on the few I interrupted, it was ~5-6AM for me when I logged on (after only a few hours sleep due to upset stomach), so was kinda just on autopilot with sleepy brain for most of that test...:sleepy:

Hopefully some other time periods (or weekends) can be considered for future runs of these events, I'd love to actually be properly awake for the next one.

The test was a lot of fun, had pretty good performance overall, but a few times there were input delays. I only got to play the last hour or so though (timezones...) so might have missed some of the more intense battles.

That being said, hope to see more of these, across some different times so others can also participate and maybe some on the live servers as well to really get the populations up there.

Yeah, I was hoping people would leave the FCs alone, but by and large that didn’t seem to be the case, at least not during the first half of the test. Thankfully ZOS had set up the keeps and outposts so DC and EP didn’t have too far to ride after getting killed and not being able to rez at a FC.

AD had been in there capturing keeps before the test. It was initially a LOOONG ride to Roe from EP.

Thats unfortunate. There is always going to be those 5-10 griefers for things like this.

Overall, ton of fun. Loved the test. Hope everyone got the data they need and I hope the positive feedback in this thread just makes ZoS want to do these more to help torubleshoot some issues.

There was probably some of that on all sides. Most of the time I had to rez at Nikel because you can't respawn at a forward camp while it's under attack-- and then, if I could rez at a forward camp, the next time I died I had to rez back at Nikel or wait until I could rez at a camp again.

It was a lot of fun, just straight PvP, no alliance nonsense, no beef, just pure large scale (well as large as we could get onto PTS) PvP (at least it was that way for me while I was on). Made a really nice change from live servers.

Agreed that hopefully they got the data they needed (and it seems like they did based on Gina's last post for winding the test down)

Sounds like there will hopefully be at least one less issue causing disconnects in the future

One thing I've noticed about EP is that they like to put their FC right on a resource flag, or right next to it. I see that on both of the PC servers, but I seldom see DC putting our FCs at those kinds of places. I'm not sure about AD, although I don't think I've seen very many if any AD FCs on a flag like that.

Anyway, the reason I mention it is because all 3 factions were fighting over the resources at times, and in a situation like that a FC is going to get attacked if it's sitting right on a resource flag.

Its there because the NPCs that guard it for us work cheap ;)

But yeah, especially at the beginning there was a lot of action at the rss so it could be expected. However, there were FCs everywhere that were being attacked. I saw AD and DC FCs and just ignored them, just as I ignored players rezzing their own. It really did seem that many others of all factions did the same, it was probably just a minority that got caught up in the chaos.

Still even though we were very outnumbered, it was a lot of fun and I wouldnt mind doing it again. There is something extra enjoyable to me when not caring about objectives, points or AP etc, just go out and have a good time..

And slightly off topic, I just HAVE to get this helm as soon as it makes it to live :)

I thought EP made a good showing of themselves, although AD definitely had the numbers and (I thought) dominated the field during the first hour. I don't know whether AD had a lot more players on than DC did, but it sure seemed that way while they were overrunning us.

The second hour was when the fighting really got going, because once DC and EP had both breeched the walls/gate and had fought their way into the courtyard (or whatever it's called), everyone on all 3 sides was trying like mad to win the day.

All in all, it was a lot of fun, even when I was dying over and over again.

Same vibe from me. I feelt bad for EP they clearly didn't have the numbers in their favor so I was trying to leave them alone a bit. Once we got inside the CY it was tons of fun. Absolutley lvoed the test.

Console player here so I can’t utilize the PTS but does it look like we’ll have any sort of effective counter against ball groups? Siege still seems to do nothing but tickle them, negates work but you have to stack them and not everyone is on a sorc, just curious if this is something that’s being looked at right now.

There was a pug DC group going around... we did pretty good! Trying to stealth seiege the back walls and stuff... was a ton of fun. Frustrating getting stomped.. but fun.
