There has to be an secretly technological advanced society in Tamriel somewhere. With the dwarf technology, khajiits finding a way to get to the moon, and magic, it should exist.
What I don't get is how servers in Germany and the US can have a power failure at the same time.
Pretty sure if folks stay within the realm of PG-13 - i.e. follow my first rule - they won't fall afoul of the Forum CoC (or at least, they shouldn't), but thanks for the reminder nonetheless!

There is only one authentication server (i.e. that deals with real money and what you've bought), which is in Texas.
i.e. the game server and the launcher have to talk to a single Texas server to know what you've paid for.
