Looks kinda interesting on the ceiling in a dark room too, like stars

I don't mean to sound ungrateful for free items, but it would have been a much more interesting system if they'd given us a selection of, say, 3 to 5 different mounts to chose from once we made it to the final tier. Then they could have included multiple styles that might have appealed to a wider range of people, and the whole thing might have gone over better.

Bears are not really one of the most popular mounts, let alone bears with too many items on them, so I'm not really sure why they chose it as the reward, since thematically it doesn't even fit with the rest of the nord-themed stuff they've been giving out this month. I would have personally been happier if they had offered a normal bear with a more nord-themed or perhaps a New Life themed saddle. I might have actually used that.

ETA: Before anyone asks "why did you go out of your way to get it then"- I actually didn't. I regularly do all of the activities that were required to obtain it, and it just sort of happened naturally. It also happened to overlap with me leveling a new dunmer.

Yeah... you gotta finagle it a bit, I put mine inside a wall so the effect kinda spills out on the floor of my hall of the lunar champion portal and the name stays hidden

You could preview the mount, you know, so why 'working hard' if it does not interest you ?

I'm not a big fan of it either... But honestly, it was a pleasant surprise to see that they were finally giving out some valuable rewards you can earn through quests and actions.

My warden character is a bear guy--bear mount, bear pet, combat bear--and this mount is too much even for him. I may or may not end up completing twenty of the pursuits, but if I do, and I get this bear, doubt it will ever see use. A choice of mounts would have been nice.

On a side note, hope your new Dunmer is enjoying their adventures through Tamriel!

I've got a nord sorcerer that I do enjoy using bears on! I was going for a viking thunder-god theme for him, but this mount is also too much for him. (I do like the housing suggestions here of using the mount for it's sparkle effect, though, so I might try to make a starry sealing in my chapel build with it.)

He is!! Once the servers are back up, he'll be headed for Vvardenfell to continue his journey with Mirri. I'm enjoying him very much, the ideas I had for him had been living in my head for months, so I knew I had to make him. Thank you again for the slot ^_^

Of course, the rewards are not tailored to satisfy everyone. But to give a bit of positive perspective a free mount is pretty cool looking. It was fun to run some of the quests in the areas that I seldom visit. The hardest part was level grinding. Never really enjoying grinding.Otherwise, nice addition to the game.

Same. I got 9 gems though from the crates, and that's all that mattered to me. It was nice not to have the FOMO working against me for a change.

Agree. I received a sheep pet and some gems from the three crates, and I'm not interested in the weapon styles or the three main rewards, so I have no incentive to try activities I don't enjoy in persuit of these Persuits. If anything, the whole situation leaves me more irritated than enthused, with the intial unwanted tracker pinning and the undismissable 'Press F to claim' message that pops up while I'm just trying to play the game.

I'm pleased there is earnable items with a wise range of activities. I don't need to like the rewards fo me to appreciate the positive direction this shows.

I'm simply glad that we get unique items in Golden Pursuits, and someday there will be something for everyone

And, as you can see in Sunken Trove crates, there are expensive Apex mounts of the same theme - and they have zero effects at all But the black bear from Golden Pursuits not only has much better coloring than his Apex equivalent - he also has permanent beautiful trail

I previewed rearing up animations of each Apex mount in this crate season, and only Bear has teeth when roaring - all other mounts are toothless. We got the recolor of the best Apex mount of this season, with unique special effect

My problem with the mount is that it feels... out of theme... LOL

I mean: The statue was the Nord armor we got in the previous Golden Pursuit. The weapons were Nord weapons (evergreen). And the crates? They were Nord crates! The theme was ice, snow, winter, the holiday season. And then... suddenly... A CORAL MOUNT. WHAT THE HELL DOES A CORAL MOUNT HAVE TO DO WITH THE THEME, ZOS? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

I am avoiding getting 20 because the mount is utterly hideous. I do not even want it in my collection.

I haven't got it yet, as I'm waiting for the New Life event to get those 2 tasks done.

But as far as it goes... It's not the worst mount I've ever seen. Kind of makes me wish for some sort of underwater themed chapter though.

At the end of the day, it's a free mount that's relatively easy to obtain. (And also not just "Horse. But recoloured" like many games are prone to do for free mounts)

Yes, I agree. I'm definitely not knocking free stuff or being ungrateful, but I do think that something festive would have gone over better. I much prefer the way things work in Fallout 76 where you collect points and CHOOSE the rewards you want to unlock, maybe this is something they could consider in future. I'd probably still moan, but you know...

It looks like the Fruit Loop Mount. I put it away quite quickly. I mean it's free but it is a little hard on the eyes.

I haven't got it yet but it looks pretty nice to me. Going to wait for the next event to unlock the final 3 - I'm at 17/20. I'll do the 2 event ones and finish the one that requires killing mobs.
