Please for the love of Mora increase Lead drop rate in IA

Done 8 arcs and only got 1 lead which was from a random bonus portal.

I just want the furnishings but forcing me to run multiple arcs just for chance for a single lead which only drops on final boss or bonus portals is insanely unfair.

Most of the leads drop from the side portals. I don't do well with those and get almost no leads as a result.

Which is also a problem for people wanting leads. Portals are hit and miss since they can decide not appear or give you a challenge that screws with you

All leads drop from Arc 1-2, so if you're interested in the most time efficient, it's going to be do the Arcs on repeat until it gets to be a slog where the trash takes too long and then reset for a quicker chance at portals.

Still, drop rate of leads are trash. I repeat arc 1 everytime and sometimes 2 but nothing. There are multiple furnishing leads so even if I get lead could be for something I did not want which made me waste 2 hours of rng for something that wont help me game wise.

Example is the Eye furnishing, only ever got one and been almost a year which have been doing archives almost everyday.

If it was for something powerful for combat or something high in gold I would understand but something that is bound to your account on pickup should not be this tedious to get.

The problem I have is that the drop rates seem to be incredibly uneven. I am constantly (constantly!) getting leads for the Torc of the Ayleid King, but none for the furnishings I want. RNG is really killing my desire to play the game.

Please increase BOOK drop rate! I’m not good enough to do deep runs, but I usually run 3 arcs, and so many runs… not… a… single… book…
Much less one of those I don’t have.

Or maybe there should be greater Archival Fortune drops to let us choose our reward (and have more available to buy direct from the Filers)? For me, the lead drops have been just fine, no problem to get three and more of everything (which is great since I love the Apocrypha theme), but that’s RNG and I certainly know that frustration and am currently banging my head against the wall (or construct rather) trying to get the lead from Graven Deep.

Or if only more things (books, leads, style pages) were tradeable and instead of bound, then getting something you don’t want but someone else does would be good fortune for two people instead of none!

I did get three inks this last run, so that does assuage my disappointment at not getting any new books or furnishing plans.

bonus portals i feel are significantly easier to do with 2 players, but the leads are still going to be random

Exactly! I used to regularly get books and then my runs were much shorter even, especially before companions and pets were updated to survive so much better! I miss getting books. 🥺

RNG is so messed up in this game. I run IA with my “lucky” character that always gets lead drops right away, or almost right away. I wasn’t even looking for the leads for this mythic, and got them all passively by doing several IA runs for archival treasures. I hate the side wings, so I never do them. All the leads dropped from regular bosses.

Scamps, Portals, Marauders, Tho'at. The normal Muniment chests have never dropped a lead in my hundreds if not thousand-ish runs.

I must have gotten them from scamps and Tho’at then, but I literally only ran the first arc of IA about ten times — if that — so I assumed they dropped from regular boss chests as well. Like I said, RNG is so messed up in this game. Other people struggle to get leads to drop, while my one character racks them up passively with no effort in no time at all, and without venturing into any annoying side wings.

Leads shouldn't be a 'Chance' at all seeing as you still have to find them and do the content for them, they should be a guarantee on the first interaction and then can be chance based for subsequent drops.

But, at very least there should be a fallback/safety net/curated system of some kind to get the leads, I have not had a SINGLE lead for the Alyed King Mythic and have opened many multiple chests, yet Youtubers were making videos of Live PVP (non PVE players) a day after the DLC dropped.

This is not completely correct as I’ve gotten a lead in Arc 4. I specifically remember that because we just barely finished the Tho’at before we lost our last thread. Got the lead from the chest and failed on the next stage.

Either way I agree with the premise in the OP. The drop rate for these needs to be increased significantly.

It is 100% correct. It was not stated that they ONLY drop in those arcs. It was stated that all leads drop from Arc 1-2, which is accurate, it does not preclude them from dropping further, but the point is if you want full efficiency for leads it's the fastest you can do content/portals and finding when it's time to reset because stages take too long.

I only started doing this activity last week, after learning about cool things on sale every week from Filer Ool.

I did few runs, with 2 stages max per run (only once I got to stage 3, but I already had no time to play). I only looted one lead for Last Ayleid King item, it was from Marauder... While I continue to do daily quest in Archive to accumulate currency for buying nice things, I would also like to get leads much more often!

Were any of Infinite Archive-specific leads ever for sale from Filer Ool? Is there hope for them appearing there?

This is a phenomenon others have reported — some accounts and/or characters feel inherently and consistently “luckier” than others. Something seems off with ESO’s RNG, and it really sucks to be on the unlucky side of things.

I feel bad. I have gotten so many of these furnishings that I have started ignoring them and just let the leads expire. The style pages, though? Egad. I routinely do 3 Arcs and all side portals and get nothing. And the styles are named after the set, not the class. My stamplar has not even finished the Wrathsun style pages and we'll probably be getting Aetheric Lance style pages soon enough. :'(

the style pages have been all over the place for me

some runs i get few to none, others ive gotten as many as 3-4 pages by the end of the 2nd arc (i think the most pages ive gotten in 1 run was like 6 pages by arc 4, though this has been a rarer occurrence, usually its 1-2 per arc 4 clear)

It doesn't look like they're using a new style for the new set. Spoilers to hide pictures.

That’s good to hear! I really don’t want more class-bound style pages cluttering my loot, potentially decreasing my odds of getting books or furnishing plans!
