We should get Account Wide quests.

I personally have 10 characters, all of which I would mainly use for PVP. But like, I have fallen behind on quests, etc on all of them and with this latest expansion of Gold Road & Scribing, It can be a very lengthy amount of time to get through it all and to my understanding so far is that I'd need to do all these scribe quests on each toon eventually. At this point, I might need to delete some toons lol.
But wouldn't yall like the option for account wide questing?
I dunno if possible, but could even make it a setting to enable or disable it or just make it an interaction to do a whole questline again, etc.

NO. Absolutely NOT. My alts (I have LOTS of alts) quest depending on their backstories.

NO. If it's not optional, I will not EVER be happy with this.

I still vote no because MMOs need players repeating content for the game to stay healthy. Maybe complete the quest line on one character and you can purchase for one other character. So if you want twenty characters to all have the finished skills ten of them would have had to do the actual quests.
Would still need to be optional. And to be clear by account wide questing do you mean if one character does the first quest in a line any other character could then do the 2nd quest? If so then I take back my maybe above. That should never happen. If you mean once one character completes the entire quest line other characters get the benefits then I can maybe bring back the maybe.

Would be a nice option for the quests that you only do to unlock something (like guilds or the Dragonguard restoration), the narrative isn't always interesting enough to make you want to do the quests again just for the story. Or farm the X number of dailies again in the case of Dragonguard. That's why they sell the skill lines in the crown store after all.

I love how everyone screaming no completely missed the optional nature of your suggestion.

My primary focus in ESO is PVP. Doing the same quests over and over again on my alts just for skill points is tedious, so I would like the option for (at the very least) account-wide main story / zone story quest completion, with the option of keeping things character-specific for those who enjoy doing the same quests over and over again.

I think what you're trying to say is that you want an account wide rewards for doing certain quests, which I agree.

However, people here tend to be unreasonable. Case and point, all the post telling you no, without looking at a bigger picture of what you actually meant.

Same type of people who would rather spend money to skip the skill shard grind, or buy a vampire/werwolf bite with real money. Activision/blizzard would kill for consumers like that.

Let that sink in for a bit while you consider who you're convincing here.

Having quests automatically complete on all our alts would create problems, such as what to do with the hundreds of quest rewards earned from doing these. Mailing them to the player wouldn't work due to the sheer number of them.

And it doesn't make sense for alts to benefit from all the rewards and skill points another character earned, for zones they never even quested in.

Hi guild wars 2. What's that? Most of the reward you earn in your game is account bound, and requires players to grind out content, or do certain achievement in order to get those rewards, like mounts, or legendary armor?

What's that? You also don't want players to artificially extend game time by making player grind out rewards they already earned, because you think it's unnecessary padding, and purely exist for players who have too much time on their hands?

What a great system.

Every quest in the game?

Every zone story and all the side quests, most daily quests and most of the dungeon quests. I also now have the trial quests on my group content character. I use an add-on called Journal Quest Log that shows which I've completed and which I still need.

So far I have completed all the zones on 4 of my 7 characters, and am working on the other 3. I will complete Gold Road on the 4 that have finished all the other zones first, then get back to the others.
