I mean, no one would come out saying the expansion is too small or other negatives comments in the same vein without first finishing it right? Since it's day one, I guess it would be very small to have y'all finish this fast. What did it take you? 4 hours? 6 hours? Were you speed running ... god I hope so ... or were you just taking your time? Thanks!
The AI generated quest are boring...
Quests created by machine learning AI? How exactly did you come up with that theory?
2 years ago, Deadlands made me rage quit the game (for 2 years, it was that bad) because Lyranth and those other lowly Daedra insects (all of which I could CRUSH, reduce to dust, return to nothingness, with the mere flick of a finger) called me “liTtLe mORtaL” on too many times.

I didn't rage quit over Little Mortal, but I gritted my teeth every time she kept saying it!

Proxy isn't as bad as Little Mortal.... but it's damn close they really need to rethink their dialogue
Nothing external can replace real life callings, challenges, relationships or a significantly outdated PC. Not much in any game is meant to be super long term or to busy you 24/7. It's meant for the here and now, grab it and play it to it's fullest.
This is a game, a wonderful yet slightly flawed game like some others, which is in the process of recreating itself. it's not something to underestimate. Games can revive in 10 fold from this reflection time.

Live in today and enjoy today, because today is bountiful enough for us all. Betting on tomorrow and sleeping in yesterday's dream is a fool's errand. Bet on right now and play to enjoy your time now with us all.
I must say. The ESO title has given, more than is appreciated. Yes. We have our gripes, but mostly this game can be and is fun. Rethink your attitudes and try to be a bit more fair toward everyone.

I’m convinced that’s exactly what it is— a Q4 DLC with a little extra padding. This isn’t what we asked for when we said we wanted story arcs, ZOS. Connection to characters is better than with year-long stories but you’re still afraid to kill people and honestly I don’t even like any of the npcs like how I did with Summerset.
Remember that in 2022 with the High Isle and "year story" outrage, when people weren't happy, Zos shifted immediately so we could get multi-year stories.
Necrom + West Weald at that point was likely already developed so it's fair to assume that West Weald was in fact a Q4 DLC, so the "strange dimensions" fit with how we got here.
.
First of all, thank you for the new chapter and the new content, I'm looking forward to the new quests and scribing as well as collecting all the new furnishing plans and antiquities.
But I also have to say that I'm disappointed with the size of the new region. You can look the entire map in 10 minutes and now I'm already depressed and thinking that that's all to explore for the next 12 months.
Crafting cert can be done really early, according to something I read on the forum a few weeks back. The "delay" seems to be simply to keep so much stuff from landing on new players.
Try it at the same level as it always was (level 6). I think someone said it was available even earlier, but I don't know that from personal experience.

I play Star Trek Online and the latest season from them is 1 TFO that takes 7 minutes and one story that takes 30 minutes, as well as a species change token system that doesn't work and has been locked until they can fix it LMAO, granted that is free of charge to everyone but content in this game is absolutely massive compared to STO. That's why so many of us have left STO now and play ESO instead.
I have still got most side quests to do from Necrom, I managed to get the main quest finished in time for Gold Road, but last night I spent two hours doing the first couple of scribing quests alone. I spent another hour just walking around Skingrad and admiring the amazing beauty of the place (check out the furniture vendor by the way for some awesome and cheap gardening items).
Our guild is normally so busy in the evenings running events that it's rare I can find time to quest which is why it takes me longer, and I know I'm going to have to explain scribing multiple times to several people who can't get it. I appreciate the artistry of the zone and the stories. Compared to other zones it doesn't initially seem as large I will admit that, but it's big enough and if you take your time and read everything it can easily last a long time. I am not disappointed by my purchase at all.
After everything, my Arcanist has content to play from 10 years ago until now and will take me years to play through all the quests again, I started playing in closed beta and can't remember the quests now so most of the game feels like new content to me.
Just my two cents for what they are worth.
Saying another game sucks more is hardly solid praise.

Feels like they treated this chapter as the "wrap up" quest line that you usually would get from doing the zone DLC that would come out in the previous DLC formula usually after the main chapter we would get a zone later on in the year to wrap up the cliffhanger of the chapter's quest line. I somehow at times miss the old format as it lead to a bigger story with more content.

I dunno it seems more to me like this once was a huge story that they cut to the bone.
This would actually be acceptable if they were bringing back the year long story...but this is it until June 2025...that is a long time in a ever shrinking world in terms of things to do....they could have leaned heavy on exploration, but the biome is pretty small...who knows maybe they have some new events or something planned....
Considering the size of this expansion, adding ESO+ fees, it feels like a minor ripoff. On the plus side, future expansions can hardly made any smaller.
Drammanoth wrote: »You worry that you have a small-sized map?
Have you completed ALL the previous questlines from chapters and DLCs?
Because if it is required, than it is a brilliant move on ZOS' part to make us return to some old content.
Again, ZOS, it's brilliant!
Fata1moose wrote: »This zone is disappointingly smaller. I don't think it's as small as a DLC zone but it certainly the smallest chapter. We should be moving in the opposite direction with the elimination of the Q4 DLC zone. This also continues a trend of really messing with scale and making a tiny playable area take up a large swath of the map, it's not as bad as Necrom...but it's still pretty bad so please ZOS avoid doing this in the future. Blackwood has tons of negative space where there's room between PoIs I'd prefer that over how cramped and small West Weald feels.

Really ZoS you should have known that a paltry amount of content in the expansion would be a huge issue for most of us...and that will effect the number of units you sale next time because who wants to shell out Fifty bucks for a couple hours of content? Without enough to do people leave...it's that simple.
Edit: I also want to note that throwing a bunch of AI generated fetch quest at us isn't content...so please don't come back and tell us about the "Hours" of quest you put in. A half-measured expansion such as this should at the very least have sweeping bug/graphic and quality of life fixes...seriosuley what have you guys been doing?
I usually am positive on this forum...but this was a let down
