Well, it's a house and Update 43 is about housing so that clicks. Less so for Update 44 and PvP but it's possible. It could also be a blend, like the housing update and an update to guilds. Have to see what we can learn after getting the new house.

Don't know whether ZOS is doing this vicariously as a means to placate people displeased with the Anniversary or not, but I am EXTREMELY grateful for this.

I rrrrrrrrrreally don't think the free house has anything to do with some people not liking the anniversary event because they were """forced""" to grind, that's just... no haha.

They have been giving äway good stuff all year, the house is a very nice reward but so were the DLC's (if you did not own them already) so I think it kinda fits the general timeline!

The Something Special will not be a TES6 announcement, as that wouldn't make sense. It's the same universe but you'd expect a teaser like that would concern ESO things, not TES things in general.

I think it probably has something to do with the coming housing updates they mentioned, or maybe they are gonna do a housing event to absolutely annihilate the hearthwood market? That would sound pretty nice to me!

It's just flavor text, it doesn't have a hidden meaning. Read other released house descriptions. Everyone is reading too much into this.

I mean, they are literally telling us the house is a hint at something. So sure, in other instances it is just flavor text, but in this specific case, with the idea that something about this house is meant as a hint to something else, it isn't a stretch to think the "flavor" text is actually the hint. They hide hints to future content in quest dialogue repeatedly.

I can only say what I want it to be.

Ideally it will be another huge PvP zone like Cyrodiil, but that supports a pop cap of at least 250/faction and works flawlessly....you know, like Cyrodiil used to be.

Thought not quite proper rooms, walking around in it, it does feel homey in terms of having distinct spaces.

I think it just needs up-classing a bit. Like replacing the wooden platforms and poles with something nicer.

I really would love a personal trader that could be placed in ones (main) home and acts like a guild trader: The owner (and only the owner) can place 500 items up for sale, and visitors can purchase those items from you. This would hugely increase the number of vistors and might even inspire some folks to decorate their homes to welcome the rising number of visitors (and buyers).

It's just wishful thinking, but I think it would be really nice if we could grow all kind of ingredients in your house, like in TES Skyrim. So you always have a reason to come back to your house to harvest the next cornflowers, alchemy ingredients or, even better, heartwood!

I hope it is separate permissions for houses. I'd like to have the option to allow or deny permissions to lights, doors, etc. separately.
