Thank you, ZOS! It was great to have bonus endeavors for the last two weeks.
It wasn't just obtaining the currency bonus, which was no doubt good. It was also an atmosphere of the event, when you see more and more people motivated to do their crimes. Crimes for a reward, for sure, but those are crimes!
High respect for making a solid event atmosphere with such a simple step.

Also, it was good to see that the theme bonuses have taken no more than two endeavor tasks a day. That way, players who didn't like TG/DB might do their tasks aside from the criminal ones.

This bonus period ended. I'm looking forward to seeing more like that.
It would be wonderful to have bonus endeavors during the other events.
Midyear - bonus endeavors for PvP tasks, Zenithar - bonus for crafting, dlc event - bonus for actions in that dlc zone.
That will make any event even more attractive and athmospheric.

I'm a huge supporter of endeavors that push players to step outside of their comfort zone. Gives an opportunity for players to expand their activities, and the rewards feel more earned than just given away willy nilly.

I enjoyed them as well and for me, it made the anniversary celebration more fun to have an additional rewarding activity to do. :) Not that I don’t usually do daily endeavors, but overall, this made them more interesting and fun for me.

Agreed, I really enjoyed the extra incentive as well. I have an assassin character who doesn't often get as much use as my thieves, so it was great to give him some extra "missions" to do.

This is great feedback. We try to have a mix of everything. Some like to go out of their comfort zone. Others like to have items in their normal wheelhouse. Flexibility is the name of the game!

Hi @ZOS_Kevin ! Just wanted to share some idea I had yesterday about getting pretty old motifs, "rediscover" vanilla zones and dungeons or make some "abandoned" DLC zones to be more busy (Murkmire) . In the "Group & Activity Finder" add another category where you could list two activities that can be done during a week or two week rotation. Each activity will give some enhanced rewards like:

    - Double drops in a specific motif style (Dwemer, Dark Brotherhood)
    - Double XP / double gold earned when completing main storyline quests / sidequests
    - 50 seals of endeavors when laundering items for about 5k (total from all characters in the account. This also means each day of the rotation people can get those 50 seals. This also is apart from the usual seals of endeavor activities).
    - Double chance for leads to drop in treasure maps for specific zones (Reach, Western Skyrim)

For PVP, some ideas could be:
    - Double AP when capturing/defending Castle Brindle (this castle is mostly ignored in PVP unless it have a scroll)
    - Double AP / loot when turning in a specific quest
    - For IC, double Telvar rewards from killing Cunning Scamps or completing daily quests

This could be considered like optional in-game mini-events.

Yeah this was a very nice use of the seals, especially because the amounts made them feel worthwhile to get. I hadn't done DB or TG stuff for years as crime is usually not my thing, so it was cool that I could bring out my alt specifically for this content.

I hope this will become a new standard for the various celebration events, same for including them in the login goodies. Seals are a fun thing to get imo, especially in combination with the frequent old crate rotations as of late.

I kind of hope that is the way forward, cycle older crates every 2 weeks and give players extra seals with events, themed weeks, or logins.

The theme and extra rewards were so fun! Though Tamriel crime is not outside the norm for me xD

IIRC, the wording for the original announcement for the Endeavors system implied that there could be a differing number of Endeavors each day, as well as a differing number of Seals of Endeavor for completing each. Having some Endeavors award more Seals of Endeavor was a nice way to create a mini-event! :)

I really enjoyed bonus Seals during the event, and I was sad to see that today this event has ended :'(

New weekly task has stuff which I don't do... Still deciding if I should skip it entirely, or maybe enter and try Infinite Archive for the first time since it was released :D

I absolutely hated the "bonus" endeavors. I felt like I was forced into doing activities that I don't enjoy, which is often the case with endeavors, except this was much worse than normal.

When endeavors were first announced, they were pitched as being rewards for things most players would do anyway, and they've instead turned into a way for ZOS to sell DLC and push people into otherwise undesirable content. It's already bad when I have to choose 3/5 but with this event I also had to make sure that 2/3 of the ones I did were event-specific ones or forego much larger than normal rewards. Not cool.

It didn't move me to the same extent but I fall into the same camp.

I see people throwing around terms like "comfort zone" as if people who know what they enjoy are somehow inferior or defective and roll my eyes.

The developers have done a great job making this content but it's not what floats my boat.

For those bonus seals you got me murdering one day.

Then the next, which didn't even have any murdery stuff, I said, "Nah." Day off.

Cos this is a game (which is meant to be fun) and my time.

Try the archive. You always reset it if you get stuck. The first arc is very much designed to be doable by mostly everyone.

I did do some of the TG/DB endeavors to get extra seals, but it’s not really about comfort zone. More like going a little out of my way for them.

I still say the Thieves Trove endeavors are the worst and I only do them if I find one quickly. Consoles don’t have add-ons to tell us where they can spawn. I would be happy if those went away, it’s a huge time waster to try to find one.

I totally agree. We're not talking about challenging content here. I mean, it is really a nothing to just crouch and press a button for the BoW. I find PVP and trial activities "outside my comfort zone", though I don't mind being encouraged to do them. ToT falls into "extreme disinterest" zone, but even then I don't really mind being encouraged to do it (and I'll admit I succumbed to the Sorinne Gaerard nagware). The Dark Brotherhood is.. something else.

I personally do not find the Dark Brotherhood content tasteful, and this goes back to their TES conception - the concept of fictional people finding murder "fun" or "cool" was always extremely tacky to me, and it was annoying, even disturbing, that ZOS was giving 20 times the usual reward for it yesterday.

I agree. Other than the Thieves Trove ones bc of their scarcity and slow respawn, it was cool to get the extra endeavors and work on my nb thief's legedermain, also working towards that purple dye you know the one. Love stealing & stabbing in ESO, it's a video game not real life :)

I'd definitely like to see more things like this, as long as it isn't trial/duo/group focused (as 1. My alt account can't do those 2. I don't join PUGs and don't want to have to beg people to group up. I like doing group content of my own will not bc I have to). Also would like to see less endeavors being quest locked dailies, don't have most of them unlocked and don't want to quest out of order to unlock them.

I think there's more to their design than just the button press.

Like I had a contract once in I think it was Glenumbra. Lionguard Redoubt. NPCs walking everywhere and my target was never alone. Back when I still needed that multi DB achievement to cross it off my list.

Though I'm not into the murdery stuff and would prefer to play the game as if I'm me in that world and I definitely wouldn't be running around killing innocent people, I did appreciate the challenge of tracking all of the different NPC movements and my own to successfully assassinate this target as it walked between a group of tightly group of allies all within arms reach. Without being detected.

Not every kill was that difficult but I at least find it more challenging and engaging than just learning and repeating a rotation for a dungeon and always running out of red circles. Ditto for boss mechanics.

So I don't want to play that content myself but I give the developers credit for doing it well.

Is that for Black Sacrament contracts? I did hear those can sometimes be complicated. For yesterday's 200-seal endeavor, though, it was just "kill x people with the BoW", which I think is quite simple.

I really want to add to this.
I don't think people should be pushed too hard to do stuff that they don't want to do. Some people will do an activity and have fun along the way, and discover a new thing in the game - fantastic :) But since it's a daily+weekly that a lot of people log in to do, even when inconvenient, it'll also leave a lot feeling frustrated. I think a better way is maybe to put in an extra possible activity for dailies if more of them are more time consuming, thus adding flexibility.
I really like game design that makes me aware of content without forcing me, such as achievements where I often think - ah, hadn't thought about doing that, or doing it that way.

I also enjoyed this event greatly :)
Then again I also have the time currently for the endeavors that more time, like sacraments and heists, otherwise they'd have been annoying.

Not everything players don't want to do is about "comfort zones", or "normal wheelhouses".
There are things they tried but didn't like. And there are things they detest on principle. And no amount of pushing them towards content of either variety will help to "expand their activities".
But it will create frustration if it forces a choice between doing said things or missing out on an extraordinary reward.

    For example:
I missed a lot of bonus endeavours during this little event, because I just detest playing a character that is a murderer, and decided against jumping through that particular hoop.
I accepted that without bother because it was a special anniversary short-time event, and thus an exceptional situation.
But I'd be quite unhappy with this idea becoming a constant practice.

That said - I'd like to add my thanks to that of the OP and others, the bonus endeavour event was a nice idea, and an interesting surprise for the anniversary.

Hey - to reawaken again and again to be murdered repeatedly is even worse than having it happen once! So you should feel even more terrible because of their coming back after the fact!! ;)

It's not that I find it morally problematic to murder pixels. But in ESO the character creation process and focus of the game activate enough "role playing vibes" for me to not being interested in following some murdering add-disparaging-word-for-very-unlikable-person around.
