Scribing Abilities Seem Strong

Some more than others, but the ones with a cast time seem to be overloaded. They shouldn't go live as is. I'm going to add screen shots in posts below. But it's actually absurd how strong some of these abilities appear.

    Will people be able to use them in PvP, or will they not work in PvP? That's the biggest question I have.

    Because I don't mind being overpowered in a PvE setting. B)

    Here is an example of the Destruction Staff ability.
    The damage multiplier is 5% less than Dawnbreaker of Smiting while also applying 3 different damage proc status effects making it stronger than the burst of dawnbreaker.

    Sword and Board ability.
    Spammable type of damage coupled with damage deflection (if used as spammable constant damage mitigation) and an incredibly strong healing buff.

    You have a greatsword equipped in the S&B picture, those numbers are not going to be that high with a Sword and Shield equipped. 😂

    I either had a lightning staff or s&b equipped not sure which. It actually went up to 10500 with my s&b equipped.

    I see it, yeah, Lightning Staff should have given it 10%, but even a 10.5k tooltip before battle spirit and resistances is not that great, keep in mind you’re only getting half of sharpened, and none of the pen from a maul or maces.

    Yeah- some of these abilities seem pretty strong- but let's use the feedback to tailor them a bit. As always- there will be a niche build that benefits the most from them... but I think the cast times and channeling on some of the abilities off-sets it. Elemental Explosion is a 2 second cast time. In Cyrodiil- that's a pretty decent amount of time to dodge.

    Look at the desync with Dark Flare in PVP- it has like a .8 cast time? It's hard to hit enemies that are roll dodging and moving.
    Want to enjoy the game more? Try both PvP (crybabies) and PvE (carebears). You'll get a better perspective on everyone's opinion.

    I mean it's an AoE area ability, unless there are clear indicators that's is going to go off you could just walk right into it and take damage.

    Every time new stuff is introduced into the game it is overpowered and then it gets nerfed. Enjoy the power while you can.

    Not really for pve. You can't make many valuable dots or spammables. The destro skill has a 2 second delay, costs too much for spammable, and it has a weak 5 second dot option. That's almost as bad as acid spray. Then to mention vault for the bow, the time spent back flipping is dps loss even if you pick the 20 sec dot. In that gap you could be placing more dots or using your spammable. And this is just two examples.

    That looks pretty synergistic with Force Pulse (by turning it into a quasi-AoE).

    But 2 seconds casting time. Ouch!

    Yeah it's gonna be a bursty patch for PvP.

    Seeing some very spicy gank potential I haven't seen in a while.

    ...and ball groups with all 12 running the AOE pull that'll be fun.

    hmmm, I'm gonna have to hoard my soul gems. tbh, I don't mind the soul line ability being strong (about time that line had something good in it ever since they gutted soul assault).

    As for the destro ability, I don't think that will get used outside of pew pewers on walls, the 2 second cast time is insanely detrimental (pets are unusable in PvP and they only have a 1.5 second cast time to summon them and they are permanent with secondary abilities including heals and CC).

    Skills seem good alright. Every class can use them. I remember psjicc skills wasn’t much of a thing even the spamable was niche. Least you can use few as spamable but it use only the passives in that skill line. The soul magic spamable won’t be that useful in pve. Cause if you use oblivion you lose out on crit buffs. PvP will be alright spamable. There is one passive that is active in soul magic is the 20% below hp and you do a aoe burst

    New classes and skills have always been overpowered when they've been released and they've been nerfed around when the expansion locking them has gone to sale.

    Oh that execute, that can solve the issue with block casting but it will be op. Soul gems will be usefull.

    At least don't bring this nonsense into a non cp campaign. Leave it to Gray Host. That campaign has long since become a trash hole of proc sets and unkillable balls. No one there will mind adding some more cesspit.

    Lol oblivion damage with execute scaling. So average PvP build having 30k HP will recieve 2,4k ADDITIONAL unavoidable damage, while under 50% this will be 4,8k of ADDITIONAL unavoidable damage on top of regular skill damage + it gives major breach and has 28 meters range. ROTFL! I think, I'll pass pvp for few months (up to next update) so the dust will set down and things will get balanced.

    It's really bad decision to make powerfull skill with drawback which is... well... economical one. Richer players can buy millions of soul gems, so it won't matter for them (notice that full soul gem price will probably skyrocket and buying empty soulgems and filling them will be tedious and boring), when newer players can feel limited (they have millions of things to collect so buying tons of soul gems may be unconvienant for them).

    Battle skills shouldn't be balanced around economical factor.

    I agree to some extent. While it raises doubts, it has been as you write for a long time. Upgrading gear, constant meta changes, food, richer potions—those who could afford more always could, and nothing changes in that regard. It's just another brick in the already high wall.

    That execute should be only in mele range. Otherwise the zerg surfing will be terrible. Also range classes will take massive buff, sorcs and NBs because of their kit.
