I normally don't fall into the FOMO trap but this is the 10 year anniversary and it would be nice to have these pages to commemorate the event.

But instead of a fun time acquiring them it's been days upon days repeating the same exact content over and over only to be disappointed time after time.

It's not too late to fix this. PLEASE increase the drop rate on these pages considerably so those trying to participate in this celebration can have pleasant memories of the experience instead of the disappointing stress this is causing for so many.

My playtime is too precious to truly grind. I try here and there for the others but no luck.

I got all of them except for the Ul’vor staff in the first 4 days of the event, the fishing took maybe 3-4 holes, the rest took around 3-6 hours of farming for each item. It was not a very fun experience.

For the geysers I'm only doing them once a day for the Alinor daily since the chances of getting a reward box from the boss are low, so I doubt I will get the Ul’vor staff. Motifs and transmutes are really the main reward for me in this event because I don't do PvP or daily random dungeons, so I'm just doing dolmens and bosses now whenever I have time. Too bad because the Ul’vor staff is the only one I actually like the look of.

right, I meant farming the geysers just for the staff style page without getting purple boxes doesn't seem worth it in my case, when I could be hanging out in between dolmen and WB instead, the 'lure' of more motifs and transmutes overrides my fomo about not getting the summerset staff

I feel like, by this point, complaining about ZOS leaning in on low-drop-rate RNG grinds is like the frog complaining about the scorpion stinging him.

Yes, it's bad. Yes, it's disrespectful. Yes, it's unenjoyable. Yes, anyone who valued good game design should refuse to implement RNG drop rates this bad without at least building in mitigation factors.

But it's ZOS. They are who they are. If you let the scorpion climb on your back, expect the stinger.

It took me 30 minutes to get trueflame, 4 hours to get the staff of mannimarco, 5 minutes to get the helmet of barbas, no luck so far on sunnarah or ulvor staff. I wish Zenimax would consider doing a "hard pity" system so after a certain number of attempts you were guaranteed the item that way people with full time jobs and families wouldn't feel frustrated that their efforts were for nothing.

Got the fishing one just doing my normal fishing. The rest I looked at the drop rates and the fact that it only drops for those who do enough damage (top 12 was most common thing I read). And I decided it was not worth my time and moved on.

I've learnt during so many of ESO playing years that running after "rare" stuff is a HUGE waste of my very precious time. These "rare rewards" are either some ugly design, useless in short time or unnecessary in the long time.

Instead, I prefer to get as much as material as possible, one or two nice stuff by sheer luck. And having fun with quests and usual ESO stuff.

The rest of my time I use to read a nice book drinking coffee at sunset in my real life.

Found the Ulvor staff page the other day after maybe like 20 or less geysers on NA! (Had done a few over a couple days, at least two loops another day, and then 2nd geyser that day)

The one that's taken the longest so far is definitely Staff of Worms. I'm not sure how many dolmens I've done but maybe 4-5 hours of farming dolmens and maybe about as many just sitting at one dolmen and waiting for it to respawn while doing other stuff irl.

@WiseSky, No I wanted to avoid crowds and traffic as much as possible, so I went to Mount Ida, Arkansas, a little town of 1,000 in the Ouachitas. It was ideal. Plenty of people to share the experience with, but not enough people to detract from it.

I don't grind for drops for any MMO. So to be fair, I've only logged in maybe 8 times since the event started and I have my main character parked at a dolmen, I've picking up those gold boxes each time and a few purple ones, only received a couple Chromiums and the rest has been junk and I'm fine with that.

What is it about MMORNGs? I spend enough time in real life grinding, getting urgent stuff done, getting stressed out of my skull. Why does anyone think I want to do that in a game? Games are for relaxing, escaping from the dramas of real life.

True Flame was about 2 hours of fishing
Ul'vor was over 10 Hours and I don't know how many Geysers over a 3 day period
