trueflame: ~70 fishing attempts (about an hour spent)
dolmens: 13 dolmens (did 12 on 1 toon, switched and then got the drop on first dolmen on 2nd toon)
ul'vor staff: ~2 hours of geyser farming on day 1, did 3 geyser on sunday and got the drop
sunna'rah: ~4-5 hours of WB farming
barbas helm: ~17 hours of WB farming

Vvardenfell WBs (both): DONE

Dolmen: 150+ ... 4 days, 3-4h each ... NO drop
Geyser: 350+ ... 4 days, 3-4h each ... NO drop


I must say, this is be far the worst (pls imagine here a swearword u see fit) grind, with by far the worst (pls imagine here a swearword u see fit) drop chances I've had in the last 10 years of ESO !!!

Update today, no new pages

I haven’t counted boxes but estimate 2 hrs so far for geysers, 2 hrs for WB, maybe 6 hrs for dolmens.

Have done dolmens on 3 different toons and I think 5 different zones. Nothing helps.

I can only do this in small doses so I may never get more pages. It’s soul crushing.

I think the bigger issue is that the playerbase has changed. More casual and time limited in the past so most people aren't going to grind for 8 hours a day for some fancy new cosmetics.

I significant number of people are going to be able to get the horse from the confetti packs because they can't play the game every day for nearly 3 weeks.

Sunna'rah: I've done around 20 WBs and still nothing.

I'm taking it slowly, not interested in the others.

Update: I've not reached 290, but almost.

After around 270 geysers, 7 days later, I got my staff.

Aaand after that... I don't feel like grinding the other 4 extremely rare pages. I feel more like if... I need a holiday XD

Is it possible to get all motifs?

I wonder if there are some secret conditionals that prevent you from getting all motifs or at least that significanlty reduce your personal drop rate if you already got some of the motifs.

I really wonder what I do wrong. 160 dolmens and nothing.

Can confirm the above. It's not that you're doing anything wrong, Anduin - it's luck of the draw.

Trueflame came quickly for me (end of the first fishing hole).

Sunna'rah took 5-6 world bosses (about 45 minutes altogether, as I had to miss a couple spawns to eat).

Barbas took 7-8 hours more.

Dolmens were only about 3-4 hours, but geysers took 8.5.

It was at least 20 hours all in, I want to say, but not more than 21.

i have a different distribution of time per activity, but i would say i also spent roughly 20 hours total farming to get all the drops

Another 7 hours of running in circles (probably 10+h total now), destroying geysers, while reading docs and doing some design stuff… no drop…

Just finished them all today:

Worms staff: ~30 dolmens
Ul'vor staff: ~70 geysers
Barbas mask: ~100 WBs
Sunna'rah staff: got it 10 more WBs after Barbas
Trueflame: : ~130 casts.

On the WBs I set my stopwatch on my phone when the boss died so I could do other things and get back before the 5 minutes was up - made that grind alot more tolerable. Plus I always got a box.

Geysers was the worst for me cause there were so many grinding it wasn't worth the effort to try and get a box from the boss - just loot the pearl. When I arrived at the geyser I just parked at the boss area and let the hordes slay the spawns and made sure I tagged the boss so I'd get the pearl.

Fishing was decent cause of the chance of roe plus I finally finished the Master Fisher achievement I'd been putting off.

Dolmens: 5hrs+ for the Staff page.
Fishing: 30min for the Sword page.
World Bosses: 3hrs for the Staff page, and then 8hrs+ more for the Helm page.
Geysers: 10hrs+ but no Staff page yet.

I wasn't diligent enough to track it exactly.

Trueflame: a little less than 30 minutes.
Staff of Worms: just under three hours.
Ul'vor Staff: a little over four hours.
Sunna'rah and Barbas' helm: Sunna'rah after 7½ hours. Barbas' mask after a total of 13 hours, right at the last boss I told myself I was gonna do before my patience would finally run out.

So in total: 28 hours for all five!

Fishing - got it on the first hole, second cast

Dolmens - maybe ~20-30 exclusively run in rivenspire

Vvardenfell - not exactly sure but several hours spread over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, bounced between bosses at first but then settled on Songbird boss, finally got the staff, then the helm dropped about 45 minutes later

Geysers - probably pushing 100 now, tried on 2 different characters (main and baby Arcanist) and still no drop. Tried between the hours of 3-5 am with less players around, was actually able to get enough hit on the boss to get the loot box to drop but still no page. Otherwise, haven’t been able to even get the loot box because there’s just too many people so I don’t even know if those count towards getting the page.

So glad this is what I came back to after 4 years of not playing.

Over 200+ Geysers still no Ul'vor Staff.

I've done c 100 casts and no fishing drop--I'm going for the fishing achieve in Elsweyr anyhow so I would have fished anyhow (might be worth noting that in that many casts with my lizard boy out and my fishing buff enacted I went from no fish to needing only 2 in that many casts). For context.

Haven't tried the others because the clear grind is beyond the point where my FOMO doesn't trigger. I'm 53years old and spent enough time trying to get that damned horse for ICC in another game. I don't have enough years left for style page grinds. So, have done just enough Summerset geysers to finish my achieve (since the zone isn't empty)--maybe 37 geysers, and then noped out. No drop, obvs.

After around 400 Geysers I managed to get this stupid drop around 2am (german time zone) this morning, while there were not so many people farming...


Dolmen: 180+ ... 5 days, 3-4h each ... still NO drop

Last missing style, but still no drop ...

These statistics tell me to not to bother with these styles and do something I really enjoy instead.

I decided I can live without them.

Only have acquired 2 .
One from fishing I had to catch around 300 fish.
The one from the dolmens around 4 hrs.
I've spent around 2 hrs on geysers and nothing.
I won't have time to do anymore until early next week.
So I maybe done.
Not enjoying this at all.

Dolmens : About 30 dolmens

That's all I've managed to get so far. Still working on the Vvardenfell WBs and geysers. I've run a LOT of geysers with no luck so far.

(I'm not exclusively grinding for these. I do it for about an hour a day. That's all my wrists can handle.)
