Which Race do you most want to see given to the 7th or 8th Companion in 2024?

2024's Companions are a Khajiit and an Altmer!
Here are the results of the poll before the reveal livestream:



Knowing that we are getting two Companions in Q4 2024, which Race would you most want to see given to at least one of them? Similar to my other poll about the potential Classes which might be given to these two Companions, this poll is purely for speculation and fun. Hopefully this poll will be just as insightful as the last one!

Orc (Orsimer)

Non-humanoid races would have the problem of not being able to use a mount, even if skill usage is worked out. I would like to see non-playable races, but only after the full ten playable ones are in use.

Bosmer and orc.

I'd also like to see a proper imperial at some point, but later. As much as I like Bastian, he's not very imperial. He's breton in everything except nose and cheekbones. So we technically have 2 bretons.

Orc or Nord. In case of the orc definitely a male, they look more orc-like than the females. In case of a Nord, gender doesn't really matter though I'd prefer a male.

Wow we never had orc or nord? That's a bit surprising. I think Orsinium and Greymoor was released before companions. That place between skyrim and wrothgar has some potential for a story just to bring in companions.

I would take any of the above, but in order of races I wish to have;

1) Bosmer

2) Tie: Altmer and Nord

3) Orc

Again, I have to say it was kind of annoying that the four races I was kind of waiting on are coming last. (At least I hope they will all come in the next 2 chapters.)

Orc, Orc, Orc ... with black hair, and a big black beard if he's male. Otherwise, I don't really care if they're male or female. If we can't have black hair, then red/burgundy hair, please.

My preference would be (in descending order)
Female Altmer
Male Ork
Male or female Bosmer
Male or female non-playable race or creature
Male Nord

Altmer are currently the race most under-represented among allies and houseguests, so I'm hoping one will become a companion to remedy that. Honestly any of these would do as long as they're not one-note characters.

An Alfiq would be cool, but I agree they’d have more work to do there for combat and such. Maybe if they skipped the mount and just had them run along side, I think Ezabi and Fezez do that presently? (Can’t check right now.) Although having them hop up behind you on your horse would be cute.

i wonder where the companions will be as they release in update 44 instead of 42.

if they're still in the chapter zone anyway, as infinite Archive also got put in Apocrypha of Necrom chapter, then i think bosmer will likely happen at least.

i hope the first bosmer companion is a lady.

If you’re not interested, don’t unlock them. I don’t unlock all on every character and end up just leveling the ones that I enjoy most — more options are a good thing.

We are here to express our opinions. There are people who want more and more companions and people who don't want any more. It is simply right that everyone expresses their opinion without others arguing about the fact that they gave the opinion. Freedom of speech and expression, thank you.

I agree with this sentiment. I personally want more and more Companions, but I know not everyone does. That's why I made poll options for things that I know people have expressed interest in previously, even if I personally don't want to see some of those in the game.

Ultimately, it's up to ZOS what they do with existing systems — at the very least, we can give ZOS some information (i.e., poll statistics) to give them some insight into how the community on the forums feels/thinks/wants of these systems.
