No it is an item that instantly transports you back to the IC base. I find them in treasure chests in IC sometimes. I think you might be able to buy them somewhere too.

Then I decided to buy everything by gold instead.

you can enter a cyrodiil campaign and from there re-enter an imperial city campaign,
if you don't want to sneak back a very long way through the sewers
Personally I think this is cheating and something ZOS should fix.

we've been able to do it for years and i am glad there's a simple way to go back to base like this.

it's not cheating or an exploit or a bug.
Being able to do this for years does not mean it is not an exploit. Players are using this to remove the risk from the risk-reward zone(IC). So that makes it an exploit, and I think it really is an exploit. Would love to hear ZOS's stance on this, because I doubt they are aware of this.

I'm sure ZOS is well aware of players queuing back and forth between Cyrodiil and the Imperial City. It has been talked about in the forums ever since ZOS changed the procedure for entering the Imperial City, which has been several years ago now.

Eh, someone who's farming the district bosses will likely have gotten way more than 5K.

Depending on circumstances (how many other people are there to leech the kill, what my multiplier is, and what my faction's multiplier is), I've gotten anywhere from 1K to 21K from killing just a single district boss during a double Tel-Var event. My most recent one was 4K.

So in that context, someone who has killed 7 of them will probably have gotten way more from just the kills than from the weekly reward, so you aren't really stealing their endeavor reward stones.

And still, most players will not know it, unless they engage with IC regularly.

In my original post, I didn't talk about players who choose to be in IC for a PvP experience. Bur rather about all the lads and lasses who feel forced to be there by circumstances, like the Mayham event tickets or the poorly chosen options for weekly endeavors.
If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Not only that (the question of how many players know about it), but queuing isn't instantaneous, hence it isn't some sort of magic solution. You need to find a relatively safe spot if possible, pull up the screen for the Alliance War canpaigns, select the desired campaign you want to queue for-- which might require clicking on the Imperial City option to expand it, and clicking on each campaign so you can pick one that isn't pop-locked and doesn't have a long queue-- then wait for the queue to pop, then wait for the game to move you to the chosen campaign. You can still be killed, even after the queue finally pops and the game is in the process of moving you to the other campaign-- as happened to me the other night when I had queued after helping to kill a patrolling boss in a district.

OK, this one surprised me. I hadn't expected to get the 1500 for the weekly. I was expecting it through the event tickets. When my tel var increased, my first thought was how and the second was I'm getting out of the Imperial City ASAP.

Earned it in Imperial City during a District daily, went into sewers, ran through EP lines (I'm DC), killed ghost Molag twice with a couple of skelly bois, and returned to base 30k Tel Var richer.

    Honestly, easiest weekly ever.

Same here, I wasn’t expecting any big drops while I was doing a couple dailies. Then a couple of people picked a fight while I was in a pack of my own side and suddenly I have over 6,000 Tel Var on me.

I queued for Cyro so fast! 😆

Tel Var General Merchant--in the faction's base in sewer--sells it for 10k AP.

This is NOT an unintended bug that people use to take advantage of. Teleporting through the queue is the INTENDED WAY to travel between Cyrodiil and IC. There's ZERO rule that you can use it only X times a day, only with an empty pocket, or only once every 3 hours nor that it's usable only from base to base. Otherwise a cool down and, or restrictions have been added to it.

A while back before IC got its separate queue we had to go through half of Cyrodiil to the lake around IC at the middle of the map to the entrance to enter IC. The tunnels are still there--one for each faction--just have no function anymore. Also, we were able to queue between different Cyrodiil campaigns, even if we were already in Cyrodiil. Since the rework we have to teleport into IC and queue back to Cyrodiil, to be able to switch to a different campaign.

There's no difference between using a Sigil Stone or queue to Cyrodiil and then back to IC. Both result in a--queue even having 2--loading screen and "wasted" time. I don't see any exploit.

You still get the reward even if you lose Tel Var along the way

because it's the accumulation of what you earn, not the total in ur inventory :o

Yesterday I farmed the Horrors for the weekly endeavors. No big deal, I thought. After I was done, I didn't go back immediately to base, but helped a couple of guys from my alliance to capture some bases.
I noticed a lot of easy kills with an unusually high telvar count to them. I didn't think much about it until it hit me. I have been stealing their weekly reward! 😱
I feel bad about this and am a little angry at ZOS, that they would give telvar as a reward in the only place that you can immediately loose it again.

Anyway, did you get your Telvar back to base and can enjoy your endeavor reward? Or do you not care about Telvar, PvP or the entire Mayham event? Please feel free to comment on this one. I feel like I am not the obly one who thinks this was a really bad idea. Especially if you consider that the other options were to make 4 Trials or 15 player kills in Cyrodiil.

Or are you maybe the ganker who farmed PvE questers? 😉

Did this reward not drop when you did the "complete 4 trials" thing?

Didn’t you know? There was NO casual PVE choice available this week! None!

Ahem, back on topic… If you want to quickly return to base to turn in your tel var after completing the endeavor, stealth up and move away from the area where you got your kill, queue up for a dead Cyrodiil campaign, port in, go to the bank. Easy peasy, no need to run back through the sewers or districts.

    Yep. Exactly what I did.

Definitely made it back to the base with the loot! I hadn't even checked the weekly endeavors when I went to do a IC daily for the first thing in Monday morning. Then, after killing an unlucky EP player with my decidedly PvE build AD arcanist, the message about the completed weekly endeavor flashed at the screen. Apparently I managed to divest someone else of his reward  I immediately changed to stealth and queued for Cyrodiil, then back to IC. I could feel a bit bad for the EP guy, but that's Imperial City for you.

As a seasoned ganker who genuinely enjoys mugging people for their Tel Var, I never feel bad about taking stuff from anyone. And unless I’m in a zerg, I make a habit of banking mine as soon as I have 5K, no matter what’s happening.

I got my weekly done just getting the IC daily done. I went somewhere to get it done where there was a lot of blue. Someone tried to kill me and they defended me. I used beam on him as he tried to run away, but there was just too many attacking him at once. And then I got the notification that my weekly was done. I finished my IC daily and then went to Cyrodiil to do that daily.

Wasn't even thinking about the weekly endeavor when I decided to potter around the Imperial City sewers last night. Usually I'll just wander around killing things, avoiding bosses and maybe getting ganked a couple of times.

Got invited to a group and decided to tag along for the ride. Killed at least half a dozen bosses including two wandering ones. Ended up at the center and got my first Molag Bal Simulcrum kill in the ten years that I've been playing ESO.

    Immediately queued for Cyrodiil

Nope. Nor did I care or expect to. I just went around killing some npc's in IC for 20 minutes. Got ganked on three times by the same 5 twits. Went in with 0 Tel Var, got the task done and returned with 300 something Tel Var. It is what it is. I got the seals, which is why I was there in the first place. I don't have the need for PvP or Tel Var anyway. The best part is that won't have to go in there for another year.

I just went to the Imperial City sewers and killed mobs. I was lucky enough to kill a cunning scamp that had a gold coffer with 5k telvar so I rushed back to base and exited, then banked them.

For me the interesting aspect of IC is the risk vs reward. One must risk losing Tel Var to be able to reach the higher multipliers and gain more tel var as a reward. It is a fabulous design and is what makes IC interesting.

Each of us chooses how much Tel Var we want to carry and can bank the rest. No one forces anyone to carry a large amount of TV.

I did. I noticed that the weekly was completed while I was still in IC working on my one daily quest. I finished that quest and helped take down the zone boss while flipping the flag. Afterwards I headed towards the sewer. Once I loaded into the sewer, I saw that I had over 11k in tel var. Surprised, I thought about porting to Cyrodiil. But I decided to risk it and run back to base. I almost ran into the wandering boss on the way but managed to avoid their detection. I was excited that I made it. That was literally the largest value of tel var that I had ever earned during a single quest and the largest amount that I had ever carried at one time.
