5K Telvar reward. Did you make it back to base?

Yesterday I farmed the Horrors for the weekly endeavors. No big deal, I thought. After I was done, I didn't go back immediately to base, but helped a couple of guys from my alliance to capture some bases.
I noticed a lot of easy kills with an unusually high telvar count to them. I didn't think much about it until it hit me. I have been stealing their weekly reward! 😱
I feel bad about this and am a little angry at ZOS, that they would give telvar as a reward in the only place that you can immediately loose it again.

Anyway, did you get your Telvar back to base and can enjoy your endeavor reward? Or do you not care about Telvar, PvP or the entire Mayham event? Please feel free to comment on this one. I feel like I am not the only one who thinks this was a really bad idea. Especially if you consider that the other options were to make 4 Trials or 15 player kills in Cyrodiil.

Or are you maybe the ganker who farmed PvE questers? 😉

If anyone here says: OH! But, PVP! I swear I'll ...

Thank you for the valuable input and respectfully recommend to discuss that aspect of ESO on the PVP forum.

Haha, I thought this was funny as well. Giving a reward to immediately lose again. I already knew I wouldn't be able to get these back to base safely, so I choose the kill 15 players in Cyrodiil endeavour. Joined a group attacking a keeparea to do so.

Another reason I wouldn't have done the 7 horrors endeavour is the reason you never know when or where they spawn. So it can take ages to complete this one.

Oh yeah, the 5k Tel Var was a juicy treat for IC PvPers ^^

Ah, alas I suck at PvP, so I chose to take my necro-heal lizard, lfg, and heal'em up on Cyro.

It's not your or ZOS fault they decided to accept the reward and run around with it in a PVP zone. Take the profits I'd say

Did this reward not drop when you did the "complete 4 trials" thing?

Didn’t you know? There was NO casual PVE choice available this week! None!

Ahem, back on topic… If you want to quickly return to base to turn in your tel var after completing the endeavor, stealth up and move away from the area where you got your kill, queue up for a dead Cyrodiil campaign, port in, go to the bank. Easy peasy, no need to run back through the sewers or districts.

I'd agree if Endeavor rewards weren't an automatic pop when the requirement was met. 7 Horrors is the easiest one for the casual player/solo player to go after. ZOS should have given a viable alternative that wasn't PVP or group centric.

It's kinda messed up that they then have to make it back to a safe zone to deposit the Tel-Var and whatever they got for killing horrors on top of it.

Every week should have an even mix of Endeavor types. PVP, Group and Solo. Simple as that.

I was being slightly sarcastic, LOL. There were a number of threads earlier this week complaining that there were no endeavor options for casual PVE players this week. When several of us pointed out that normal trials are quick and easy to do, and very much casual content, we were met with skepticism and claims that normal trials are endgame content that you need to gear up for. Then they all went back to complaining about PVP…

I got the Cyro reward but didn't bother to bank the Tel Var on my PvP toon because, well, he's a PvP toon and 5k is a measly amount. I saw some PvE zergs doing bosses and didn't bother them, as well as some lone questers, also didn't bother them except for one who had an irritatingly vulgar name. That one tasted my Pink Crystal of Indignation. Forgot to check how many Tel Var he gave me though.

Aw, that sucks for them, but like others have said, it's not your or even ZOS's fault they're losing the tel var. Well, maybe the game could do a bit better in regards to explaining how telvar can be gained/lost as I and pretty much everyone I know learned via a guild rather than the game itself. But don't feel bad! You didn't do anything wrong. It's a PVP zone. PVP happens there, or so I've heard.

If you felt so bad you could have sent their telvar back

I don't linger in IC after getting my quest objectives (which is not always easy with so many players there trying to take advantage of the event and camping the spots). I don't mind the weekly endeavours being mostly PvP related though, I think they should always have something for every playstyle, and given that an event is running, it makes sense. It's pretty immature to moan about it, especially since PvPers get the short end of the stick regarding content and attention from the devs anyway.

I did! And we went back through the sewers too to milk that 4x multiplier a bit.

Joys of being in no-CP IC and having almost three full groups.

For a bit of variety I did one weekly on each account (trials on main, Cyro kills on alt and sweepers on BB alt).

The game already blocks you from joining a different campaign of the same type e.g. Imperial City CP to Imperial City No CP. If they wanted to prevent you from queueing while in that content, they could. It's not cheating or a bug. It's worked that way for years. It's just leaving and coming back later.

I know this is just a joke, but for those that don't know, you cannot send Telvar back. Telvar isn't tradeable. You can trade things bought with the currency, but not the currency itself.

This is what really bothered me about the complaints about the endeavors this week. Like as long as everyone gets a turn, it's okay to make things a little extra special for events imo. And PvPers are the ones that usually get the short end of the stick, but they didn't complain when someone else was celebrated. It felt very much "we can't have office birthday parties anymore because everyone isn't being treated exactly the same at every single moment," to me.

Hear, hear. Even if they axed Tel Var loss completely I’d still want them to leave it in. Creeping all the way back to base through the sewers is slow and tedious and there are no Wayshrine equivalents in the Imperial City. My play time is valuable!

I agree! I always dump my telvar and start with zero when I enter IC, because it doesn't take too long to increase the multiplier if I'm playing for that, but I hate losing it if I'm on a squishier toon.

If someone didn't dump it in the bank before they came to play, honestly they probably don't care about losing the currency, either. Most of them.

The talvar take is fine , I think the area around the base in the sewers should be off limits like in cyro where the scroll is. Low hanging fruit like to farm there. It should be a good area for people to intro and do simple talvar farming.
