I'm trying to figure out why people seem to hate events. I mean, you don't have to participate. So just continue to play the game as you normally do and ignore it. But for those of us who need money (and the increased harvest yield helps), or are leveling alts who are working on their crafting skill lines, this event helps. I don't think every event has to appeal to every player... so just play the ones you want, and ignore the ones you don't. But saying we have too many events, I just don't get it.

1. According to the event flyer that comes up when I log into the game, I was supposed to be able to reconstruct gear for half transmute costs. However, I reconstructed 3 sets I've been wanting to try - but all at normal transmute cost. There was no 50% reduction in transmute cost.
2. We were supposed to get double writ vouchers for master writs done during the event. I did master writ vouchers I had stored up AND master writs that I earned during the event - both yielded just the normal number of writ vouchers that were stated on the master writ.
3. It's hard to quantify this one because its also based on RNG, but I didn't see a noticeable uptick in upgrade materials gained from deconning gear or from refining raw materials. Both were supposed to have increased chances during the event. However, given the issues above, I just assumed this was not working for me.
The event was actually fantastic - in theory. It would have been nice if it actually worked.

It's not just this event... which isn't even a real event, but more like "Here's some extra resources and crafting experience". Then they didn't even touch research, which takes way longer than just leveling a craft to 50.
But the biggest problem for me is that there is barely any time between events any more and that makes them feel much less special.
What if we had Christmas once a month? How special would that feel?

Doesn’t the event description somewhere say 10% increased inspiration? That would be what you are asking for, wouldn’t it?

I don't think inspiration affects research timers.

Ah that might just be leveling up the crafting skill then. Any increase in research times during the event would be insignificant in the long run anyway.

When research is taking 21 days for each piece now, even with all the passive skills, I'll take any help I can get.

I have three toons now doing research and I give all of the free daily reward login research scrolls to one of them, but I never get around to getting enough skill points to unlock more than one trait research. I feel like I’d waste them for only one research trait at a time but I guess eventually I will break down and start using them.
The last three events have been like Lucy pulling the football with actual quest benefits being revoked because of no fault of the players. So the answer to the question is no, if players are just going to be continually deprived and frustrated, and yes if everything works as it's supposed to.
So, looking at the Magic 8 ball and applying Murphy's law, the real answer is
