I can't wait to meet all the people in Vashabar, to explore the new wood and learn why it's happened. The green is ever growing and changing, it only makes sense that Y'ffres firstborn would want to stretch its legs and grow.
New furnishings, New housing assets, New lore and characters.

I'm not that big a fan of the Decendants of the Nedes. So the Colovian parts of the zone interest me little.

But this new dawnwood section is the only new bosmer content we have gotten in 10 years. And I'm grateful for every little bit.

Agree! The jungle areas they showed in the preview looked amazing and I'm also stoked for those furnishing assets.

It seems there's a bit of nostalgia for Skingrad, which I don't have since I didn't play Oblivion. The aesthetic seems more similar to all the chapters between Elsweyr and Apocrypha.

Bosmer are my fav! I recommend reading the book Words And Philosophy from TES:Skyrim. I wanted to make a character Allena Benoch in ESO, but the name was taken :(

If there’s new Bosmer furnishings, architecture, foliage, etc. then I’m excited. If it’s just 2014 Grahtwood assets then I wish it was just traditional West Weald.

Bosmer bore me and I really do not like their aesthetic. That being said their stuff are mostly old, tired, terrible 1999 era looking assets. The new stuff should be higher poly and greater texture resolution. I'd love to see some new, large majestic trees. Flower adorned bits and bobs and a massive treehouse player home.

I play mostly magicka classes, so races that do not lend to my magical builds are not that interesting to me.

the new stuff does look higher poly.
and the old furniture is only assets from the base game so 2010's.
1999 would have been way way way blurrier and look out of place in this game.

here is how Dawnwood will look according to recent pictures and the livestream.

if any pictures are blurry it's because my YouTube didn't wanna give me a consistent higher resolution.

The Snugpod definitely looks 2014 it could be placeholder or I could just be wrong but yeah hoping for some new furnishing and architecture. I think at the very least we’ll get ancestral Bosmer.

I'm hoping they will actually be creative and implement bosmer lore well. The two bosmer things we have gotten lately, a style and a costume felt a lot more generic fantasy wood elf than actually bosmer.

I want to see well crafted and creative use of fauna for their furnishings, motifs etc.

And of course that they are written well. A bit worried these "non-pact" bosmer will get a lot of focus and seen as the more moral.

...or a coincidence because they've forgotten that they already used that name. It was 2019, after all.

If we think of the forest to have grown just now, it doesn't really make sense that these Indriks already existed years before. Unless officially, all events of ESO are happening more or less at the same time.

I figured they both were named in relation to the Dawn Era.

That's a bit more complex than I had in mind. For me, looking at the indrik, it actually exemplifies "dawn in a wood/forest" in the spring to me.

And of course we don't really know what Dawnwood will be like.... or what the lore behind it is - yet. If ever.

    Description of the Dawnwood Indrik:
"These magical creatures have a special relationship to Y'ffre the nature god, and seem to draw strength from the very bones of the earth beneath their hooves. It's a privilege for a mortal rider to be borne by such an enchanted beast."

Description of the small pet version, the Springtide Indrik:
"For mortals good in heart and soul, being in the presence of a Springtide Indrik induces serenity and makes anger almost impossible—though paradoxically it also inspires a righteous determination to fight injustice."

So, yes, the big one has an Ehlnofey reference.

Honestly? I can't be sure of course, but somehow I doubt it. I was replying (although I forgot to quote it) to the idea that the Dawnwood Indrik's naming might be related to the Dawn era, and that seems to be the case (unless it's also only coincidence and they only mentioned the Ehlnofey because they relate it to Valenwood). When it comes to Dawnwood though, maybe they just thought that "dawn" would fit a thing that just began to exist, as it it the case with the newly grown forest. We'll see!

That's a thought! Yeah, actually that makes more sense than the Dawn Era thing....

3 zones with bosmers does that. Also not using wood limit designs of furniture a lot in addition to being old content.
