Please give us a Toggle for Account wide Settings and Keybindings

I prefer to use the same settings on all my Characters, but there are so many that it is a struggle to get them the same on all of them. I would love to see a Toggle that could be turned on to use the same settings as a chosen Character on the account, and could be set on or off for each character individually. This way those that do not want all their settings account wide would not have to.

First the player would choose a "main" Character to match the settings to. Then if they choose "Account Bound" on another Character it would load those settings to them. To reverse this the player would just toggle it off on that Character.

I know there are add-ons that do this but not everyone has access to add-ons. I feel this would be a great quality of life feature, especially when rolling a new character.

Agreed. This is the type of feature that should have been implemeted into the UI at launch 10 years ago.

Pretty crazy this wasn't done from the start tbh. The only beneficiaries I can think of for the current system would be other people (eg kids) on the same account, but that's almost always against the terms of service, so it's weird all round.

I'm glad most Addons have account wide settings, just odd that ESO doesn't. I had to write down all my settings and each time I create a new character, have to drag it out. Not sure how many players actually use different settings for their characters- most players it seems would want to use the settings that work best for them across them all.

100%. There are very few reasons I'd want my keybinds or settings different per character.

Thanks for the add-on links. I just installed @Masteroshi430 add-on yesterday.

As far as the keybinds, I have only changed a few and the changed ones are now marked by an * so it was easier to find them and make a list. But I did find that I had set a couple of these differently on different characters so I had to go back and manually change them.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin Having the option to make these settings account bound would be a great quality of life feature. Please consider this.

Yep, this is much needed and I would gladly bury any addon I'm in charge of if similar features are added to the vanilla code.

I use the addon (Joviex) and even so - I have a lot of settings that are not transferred to some characters, and worse, randomly different settings differences between some characters for the things that should be uniformly changed.

Account wide settings should be the default. Not everyone watches him but Asmongold commented on that recently.

I’m glad that the only option isn’t account-wide as I do like to have some things set up differently on some characters, but I agree that an option for this would be fantastic.

Most games allow you to share the account with at least one minor child because games companies cannot enter contracts with minors.

I agree this should be available as a base game option.

I was going to say I have a couple of keybindings that I only use on some characters, but then I realised they're both from addons (one to dismiss summoned pets and one to open a menu to see which motifis I have unlocked), but also because it's only 2 keys I find it easier to have the same setup on all my characters and just don't push those buttons when they're not relevant.

Oh and I have 1 character who has 'prevent attacking innocents' turned off, whereas all the others have it on.

Other than that I want everything to be the same across all my characters and I find it very strange that I have to resort to 3rd party addons to do it. I absolutely think they should maintain the option to have different settings if anyone wants it, but having the option to automatically copy settings to all characters would be very useful.
