Must play ToT for Glyphic Secrets Music Box lead

I have every lead for this music box except the Ink Wood Lead. I played multiple daily ToT games on 7 different characters today and hated every second of it, and still no lead. This is a very bad place to put a lead because the daily takes 3 games for the purple box which seems to be the one most have gotten it from.

I'm not asking that the lead be moved out of ToT, although I'd love if it was. But please increase the drop chance for all the reward coffers. I hate to miss out on this music box I've worked so hard to achieve but I can't spend hours every day playing multiple games of ToT for such a low drop rate.

If the game catches fire and only way to save it from permanent and complete destruction would be me personally attempt to play through a game of ToT, I'd let it burn. No ingame reward would make me interested of playing ToT. So I have to accept anything tied to Tot is not for me. Too bad.

I got my lead from the purple box and it wasn't fun. I used to enjoy ToT, as I could choose between fast and breezy matches with novice NPCs and more challenging ones with the experts or founders. The former were an adequate effort for the generally unimpressive rewards, but now novices overuse patrons, even when it barely gives them an advantage (like using the crows with a single coin...). Hell, the match against the Telvanni Peninsula founder was more fun and less annoying than playing a novice. It's a real pity, as I liked to go for some ToT whenever I wanted to do something that didn't involve violence.

I'd really like if no more leads dropped from ToT, or, even better, if they undid the NPC AI changes. However, to be frank I'm surprised it took the devs this long to put a lead behind the card game.

As much as I dislike ToT it's not that fact that the lead is in the card game that is my biggest issue. It's that it takes 3 games to get a purple reward coffer and the drop rate for the lead is low.

I got all the other leads for this music box very quickly. I really don't want to give up but after just one day of trying I'm not sure how much more I can do.

I played 21 games today and got nothing but frustration.

Hopefully they will put the lead in the Endless Archive vendor at some point.

Either way I hope that the fact that you have bitten the bullet and 'gotten on wit it' gets rewarded OP.

It does not have to be purple quest box, mine came form green box in the mail.

Same here. I have now played 150 rounds of ToT in the Necrom tavern and all I got were two clues and one purple furniture plan. In 150 rounds! There was a time when I found a round of ToT relaxing, but the rewards, the drop rate and the linking of leads to ToT have now made me hate the game to the core.

I gave up on this lead after opening 45 purple boxes and 135 (45*3) green boxes with no lead drop.

after almost 50 maddening games against npc players i came up with a way to cheese it --- get the daily for playing another player -- have three or four friends queue at the same time and hope you get in against one of them and then have them concede the match --- granted, some times you get put in against randoms, but the concede penalty is only ten minutes.

4 of us have gotten the lead this way --- all four were from the green reward mails

Took about 50 boxes for me. Same thing. 7 toons many days in a row of tails of torture...

Leads are put in all content, for me the ToT lead was not an issue but I have multiple other leads I will stuggle to get.

For every person upset about one lead's location there will be others upset about another. 💕

Edit:- For patron spamming NPC's pick Hlaalu and Rajhin decks..... they sell all their good cards and if you hit them with bewilderment cards they don't swap them out..... it can be hilarious! Ofc if they hit you with Rajhin swap the cards out! 🤣

OP, at least you figured out how to play it. I can't even beat the first one in order to do the dailies to get the lead. The game gives the WORST tutorial on how to play it. The game makes absolutely no sense and seems totally reliant on luck.

Tbh i only figured it out through playing. A lot. Like it seriously ate i to my playtime for a full week.

Does anyone know if it matters which NPC we play? Do we have a higher chance to get the lead if we play an Expert NPC?

all NPCs give the same rewards

winning against a novice gives a green box, winning against expert gives green box, winning against a master/founder is a green box lol

so there should be no difference playing higher lvl npcs except you do get more tribute rank xp depending on the difficulty (which if you can play founders your likely already max rank anyway which makes it a moot point lol)

i feel bad for those who want this lead, for me i got it off of the first purple box i opened lol

Purple has much higher drop rate. Its still very low though..

higher quality box does have a better chance to drop the lead, but of course still subject to RNG (considering some people have opened 1 purple box like myself, and others have opened dozens and not gotten it yet)

the only box i think that cannot drop the lead is the defeat box for losing a match

I did the player vs zone daily once per day, five days in a row. I went for the max reward and played Tribute in 3 zones each time. I got the lead after five days.

Hopefully luck changes gif the better for those of you still searching for it.

I see you Ink Wood lead drop rate and raise with the drop rate for Scraps of the Spearhead’s Colors. I have been playing multiple games a day since this was made available and have only 5 of the 10 needed. I'm in my 70's and suspect that at this rate )pun intended) I may not live long enough to achieve it...

Easiest way to get it is to play 1 pvp match with the quest, and then do the NPC daily.

Tried to play ToT on Pts before High Isle released.


There is absolutely no reward in this game that would make me play it again.

Didn't buy High Isle because this was main feature. Now that it's included free with ESO + I still won't play it.

The activity finder gives you a purple box for completing a match, win or lose. So, it's the quickest way to get a purple box. If you have the pvp daily running, you can turn it in for a blue box or every 3 days get a gold one. The gold one has the best drop rates of all items.

i think the ToT pvp daily just requires match-made games, it doesnt matter if you do them in ranked or unranked

i think in order to progress the ToT daily you still have to get wins, unless they changed it at some point
