Do you think eso will ever play on I phone in the future.

As mobile devices are advancing could it be possible..I know there is a mobile version but would it ever be possible to play actual eso on a phone.

I don’t see myself ever playing the full game on my phone even if the hardware supported it. (Reasons include: spotty reception, general hatred for the lack of precision with a touch screen, tiny screen.) But some of the mini-games could be doable (EX: Antiquities, Tales of Tribute). If I could do Writs on my phone (via much simplified client) that might be doable.

I have played on my phone, using PS Remote app but it's so small. I just got my daily rewards and writs. I would never play it on there.

I played ESO on my phone when Stadia was around, I bought a Razer Kishi for my controller. It was great playing it on the go, at work, or when I didn't want to turn on the PC lounging around elsewhere in the house. There was only a few setbacks to doing it on Stadia such as 30 FPS locked, no addons, and a slight delay doing certain actions like lockpicking anything above intermediate was impossible. Otherwise it was pretty good for doing dailies or casual questing, I wouldn't do dungeons with it though the delay made it significantly difficult to time things like interrupting or certain mechanics in a timely manner.

They should move ToT to being an exclusively phone app, but I can't imagine why anyone would want to play the full game on a 3 inch screen.

I have a galaxy Z fold. So huge screen. And xbox app let's you stream games to your phone.

I play eso on my phone every day.
It's awesome. Works perfect. Xbox and a huge Samsung phone and you can have this too. You still use a controller just Bluetooth it to your phone.

If Apple has the Xbox app you can do this too.

I don't know that I'd ever want to play on mobile, but I'm not a big fan of trying to navigate more complicated game UIs on my phone. But maybe certain aspects could become mobile games? Like Tales of Tribute as someone else mentioned.

My words exactly when I read the title of this thread, haha. This would be terrible for the game. ESO is already held back by the fact that it's still being released on consoles.... mobile devices would just make that even worse.

I hope not. I know it's unpopular-- to put it lightly-- with some players, but I love it, and I enjoy traveling to different provinces to play the NPCs. An ideal day of matches is where I can integrate some endeavors or my other usual activities into the daily ToT matches, so I can do other things between the matches-- not that I don't enjoy playing three matches in a row, but it's also nice to mix things up by fighting a world boss, clearing a dungeon or delve, shutting down a dolmen, digging up an antiquity, or whatever else is on the menu for the day, while I happen to be in a given zone for a ToT match.

IIRC, the first RPG I ever played that had a card game in it was Questron II. It's my understanding that card games and other types of tavern games are fairly common in modern MMORPGs. (ESO is the only MMORPG I've ever played, so I can't verify that from personal experience.) In any case, I think it's great that ESO has a variety of activities for players to engage in.

I'd love to be able to play ESO on my iPad-- purely for convenience when I'm away from home and don't have a laptop with me-- but only if I had a proper controller for it. There's already a Bluetooth keyboard built into the case I use with it, but I'd need a mouse to use as well. It's hard enough trying to play with a Magic Mouse on my MacBook Air, so I'd definitely want a proper mouse as on my Windows computer.

IIRC there was a rumor that ESO would have an app before it came out. I was originally excited about the opportunity to do writs, feed horses, farm nodes, etc. on the go in this way. All MMOs have similar if not exactly the same types of tasks.

At this point if it happened I'm pretty sure I would almost never use it, if ever. Just seems like a novelty thing for niche use cases. Plus logging in and load screens take so long I don't even consider logging into ESO unless I have at least 30 min to play, so I don't really do quick in-and-out logins unless I'm super close to a special daily login reward.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I honestly don't know what to think about this issue. On my Windows computer, logging in or changing zones-- even just going into or out of an outlaws refuge-- can take several minutes; I can use a wayshrine to travel somewhere, get up to let the cats out or in and get myself a beverage, including stopping by the restroom for relief, and when I come back to my computer I'm still sitting on the zone loading screen despite having been gone for five minutes.

And yet, if I press Alt-Tab to bring some other process to the foreground-- usually the ESO launcher-- the loading screens and logging in becomes noticeably quicker for some reason. This makes me inclined to suspect something going on in Windows, as opposed to some issue with my hard drive as some forum members have suggested.

And when I play on my MacBook Air, the loading screens and logging in are also noticeably quicker than on my Windows 11 computer. That might be due to a difference in hard drives, but the fact that pressing Alt-Tab seems to help for some reason makes me inclined to rule out the hard drive.

Plus, the OS claims that the hard drive is in good shape, and there is still a lot of free space on it-- something I make sure to keep on top of after my previous computer had a hard drive crash because I had filled it up with too much stuff.

On the new Xbox my load times are 3 seconds. The flavor text does not even have time to load on the screen. And if I'm porting within the same zone. Instant.

@SeaGtGruff - which version of windows? I'm on win 10 latest update whatever it is number-wise, and loading in to character select takes me about 30 seconds, and logging in a character another appx 30 seconds.

I'm running the OS and the game install on a Crucial 1TB SSD....

Windows 11, with all the latest updates and features. It used to run much, much better, but then some time ago (last year?) it seemed to go downhill almost overnight. The computer itself would probably not be considered up-to-spec as far as ESO, but it ran like a dream when I first got it. For instance, it uses Intel UHD graphics rather than nVidia, and it's an all-in-one computer that was undoubtedly intended for general-purpose usage rather than heavy gaming. But as I said, it ran ESO like a dream for the first year or more after I bought it, then the performance in ESO degraded almost overnight.

It's actually kind of funny that ESO is running better now on my MacBook Air, given that the Mac version has had its share of problems over the years and the Magic Mouse is an instrument of torture straight from hell. Plus, bashing works differently on a Mac, by pressing the Command key next to the spacebar. You wouldn't believe the number of times I've ended up hitting the spacebar with my thumb instead of the Command key, causing me to jump straight up when I was trying to bash an enemy.

Huh. Well - there's a reason I'm not using win 11. I don't personally know anyone IRL who's happy with it. My family (sister, BIL, brother, nephew, daughter, SIL, g'daughters, stepchildren and spouses) have all gone back to win 10. Lots of friends as well, and some of them also have MacBooks which seem to run much better than win 11 for almost everything.

I'm working on getting CyberPowerPC to start a new build for me - a no OS build, because I bought a win 10 OEM cd from amazon. Once win 10 is EOL, I'm moving to linux (which yes, will require going back to steam to use proton - unless something better comes along before then).

I find it extremely interesting that what you're saying about win 11 all of a sudden not working as well is exactly what family and others have said. I wonder if some of the windows user groups have any ideas.

I played ESO on my Pixel via Stadia. While chatting sucked, it was great for doing an odd farming run or listing things at the trader in a pinch. A perfect weave was impossible, but you could fight/explore/quest. Very much enjoyed the flexibility and it still looked good (just in miniature).

You can ESO on phones and now the new Samsung tv's. However, you would need Xbox Game pass Ultimate to unlock cloud gaming and you would only have access to the Xbox megaservers.

Probably they already have limited ways you can right now.

Will never understand wanting to use a small screen to play and watch stuff, would much rather sit down in front of my monitor or TV.

If I am not in a situation to be able to do that I am likely at work or out shopping/an appointment/visiting someone and for those saying oh you can watch stuff while your on public transport, I live in a rural area where you need to drive places yourself those extra few minutes of free time during the day don't exist for me, even if they did, I would not want to get distracted while surrounded by a crowd.
