You must be new. I've been stuck in combat without ever using a weapon or casting a skill before. On multiple occasions.
I have played the game since December 2017. I only ever encountered this in situations where I respawned during an ongoing encounters. e.g. Dragons in Elsweyr or in Cyrodiil. but I don't recall ever encountering it after everything was dead.
Are you saying that everything in the Endless Archive has to be killed before you can advance? That is unprecedented. You can bypass trash mobs in the last 10 years worth of content, which can be helpful when mobs get stuck in walls, fall through floors, summon you into ceilings, and so forth.
If what you say is true, and just a single trash mob being stuck in a wall can bring an end to your hours worth of grinding because you are unable to kill it, then I predict some very unhappy players running this content in the near future. Especially since ZOS removed workarounds that have been used since the beginning.

My number one question when I first saw the sets, was whether they would have weight variations, and that question was luckily answered within that follow-up interview.
Just curious, what was the answer? 😊
When asked, Mike Finnigan replied to Deltia with a confirmation that the sets can be obtained in any weight, for example, a medium and heavy armor version of the new Templar set could be obtained.
I'm not sure if that is better or worse really. That would drastically increase drop RNG.

Grand Master Crafting Station
I'm confused as to the "feeding" of the new station.
If you have a few sets that you haven't been able to get the attunables for, does that mean we still have to purchase old attunables, then attune them to the sets, and then feed those to the Grand Master ones or how does that work? What about future sets coming out?
Thanks!

This☝️ Do we still need to grind 300+ attunable tables to max the master tables or can we reuse the attunables after loading into the master table?
I'm hoping for this as I'm sitting on several thousand vouchers worth of high count purple and gold writs. I've long got rid of my blues.Necrotech_Master wrote: »disintegr8 wrote: »I'd like to know if the Jewelry master writs will be modified in light of the platings changes?
Their writ voucher values were significantly increased to match the hefty price of platings needed to create them and I'd like to know whether there are plans to bring them down again.
jewelry master writs are being updated
i believe going forward there will be no blue jewelry writs (not sure what they are going to do to existing blue jewelry writs, but i assuming their writ value will be rebalanced)
This is the one thing I'm really waiting for news on. When writs were rebalanced last time and massively increased in value, existing ones weren't touched and made effectively worthless, so seems a bit mean if they change them all this time
Yes. I really want to know before I just throw up my hands and get rid of the blue ones on my mains. I'm silly - I can't stand to delete them (unless they require the more expensive traits - because that just makes them too expensive to bother with).... and with 6 mains (3 accounts both PC megaservers) I have a LOT of blue writs....
They shouldnt do anything about existing master writs. Few times when they fixed "bugged" writs that were giving 0 vouchers as a reward they only changed new ones and old ones stayed the same. They werent deleted or changed. I still have 1 Master Writ like that in my collection.
Like imagine, if u would want to "rebalance" existing writs it would be a massive amount of work as u would have to change every single one manually. It just isnt worth it. Some ppl will benefit from this a lot but its not enough to have a big impact on the market. Like 1-2 days of Zenithar event would have a bigger impact. So its just not worth an effort.
So just wait for the U40 and enjoy some very good Master Writs.
IMHO, jewelry crafting change one of the worst ideas picked among random suggestion.
Sure, it’s nice to gold any set with little or no effort to try out new build, but the consequences for that ease is way deeper than that. Long term though it’ll completely destroy whole niche in trading, making what once was a good goldmaking method pretty much obsolete and dragging a few others along the way.
Golden vendor would probably take the hardest hit as it doesnt matter of what kind of price rebalancing there is, waiting for specific set to safe 30-50k gold is not worth it, it’s also not worth to buy or resell anything with low profits and it completely eliminate all the value from previously bought jewelry. AP value and motivation to PvP would go down as the result. Leaderboard rewards would also become more meaningless than they already are. Even more sets become devalued and worthless (why buy mother sorrow when you could gold orders wrath). More importantly, the value of gold itself would be even more diminished as there are even fewer things to buy with it and fewer reasons to engage in trading or grinding at all and that’s on top of elimination of crown trading, one of the main motivation to farm gold for endgamers.
Frankly, with this update I don’t even know why am I even trading anymore as options to spend that gold get taken away with nothing to replace them with.
As a content category, the Endless Dungeon (why is it not called an Endless Arena? There is nothing dungeon-like about it) looks way too mindless and repetitive for my tastes, but other people seem to really like it, so that's good. Can't win them all. I just hope it doesn't take absolutely forever to earn the furnishing rewards in there.
To be fair, the actual name is the Endless Archive. More fitting to Hermaeus Mora's affinity for books.
Happy with everything mentioned. The endless archive seems really cool! Especially being able to build up power/defenses to use in the following runs.
Some questions:
-Will the endless archive's currency have a daily/weekly limit for what we can gain?.
You're not losing anything just because prices will change. Like, I managed to get a PS5 on release day and I've had the benefit of it for a couple of years while it was hard to get and expensive. Now they're easier to find and cheaper. It doesn't devalue mine.
We had all this when JC was first introduced. It was going to ruin vet trials because you could just upgrade instead of paying for runs. Nobody would buy jewelry anymore. It was all just needless panicking over nothing.
This change will make it so much more accessible. Instead of the rich few buying all the gold jewelry and platings, everyone will be getting in on it. Instead of selling one ring at 200k it'll be 4 at 50k. Instead of a grain for 8k it'll be a plating for 8k but instead of 5% of people buying them it'll be 90%.
This isn't even on PTS yet, chill out and wait and see.

You are assuming that prices will remain 1:1 before and after. That is not really how prices work. Just because you sold 1 ring for 200k doesn't mean you can sell 4 automatically at 50k

This. Such a terrible change for those who were already invested in this craft and everything related to it, like AP jewelry. Divine intervention into player driven economy that undoes years and thousands of hours of progress.
It is not like Mukrmire prep daily change, where never players will have it easier, but those who already accomplished it don't lose anything. Here we lose what we already have and lose a lot.
KlauthWarthog wrote: »Now we want to hear from you! What did you think of the Endless Archive, Grand Master Crafting Station, Rebalanced Jewelry Crafting, Group Finder, new house from the Secrets of the Telvanni event?
Endless Archive:
The good:
- Seems to be designed as solo-first, so I am expecting to spend a lot of otherwise potential downside in there;
- Seems to have a lot of potential for expansion, regarding content, the buffs system and drops, so it might stay relevant in the long term
The bad:
- The class sets have a lot of potential to become a balancing nightmare and, in fact, there is already a discrepancy in power between classes from what got spoiled in the stream.
Grand Master Crafting Station
The good:
- Massive quality of life update, both for people building "guild halls" and those using them.
The bad:
- Nothing, really.
Rebalanced Jewelry Crafting
The good:
- Everything, potentially. This crafting skill is a massive outlier right now, and bringing it in line with the others will have large long-term benefits.
The bad:
- Everything, potentially. I am waiting for the actual patch notes to see if it will be a blast or a dud.
Group Finder
The good:
- It is a central hub for grouping, so it removes the issues with interested people being in multiple zones, or multiple instances of a zone;
- It can lead to an increase in casual grouping.
The bad:
- You know veteran trials will be a horrible mess.
No opinion on the new house, it is not a thing I care about.

I like that towns will be theme decorated for events. It makes it more immersive and festive.
If I remember correct they said on live stream the new currency has no cap, so you can probably farm it endlessly

I always wondered why they didn't do this. I figured it was just lack of time to get around to it, and it looks like they found the time.If I remember correct they said on live stream the new currency has no cap, so you can probably farm it endlessly
Uncapped currency might mean that vendor prices are super high.
