Sprinting/non-sprinting animation changes will absolutely kill this game for me regardless of what other changes are being or will be made. It feels like a two decade step backwards in terms of animation

    What are you referring to?

Your character will no longer use the sprinting animation if your movement speed is above 140%. You'll play the default walking animation but sped up/gliding across the ground. There's another thread that showcases it. It is a very confusing change since I don't think there was ever any complaints about your character using the sprinting animation if your movement speed was too high. It felt like a standard logical choice for your character to do.

What? Surely they can't be serious about this. Can someone please post where this is in the patch notes?

    Animations

Sprint animations for your character will no longer be incorrectly played as a result of increasing movement speed to high levels.

So far I see some strange choices on weapon changes, quest bug fixes that won't benefit me as someone who has completed them all, and that new characters will get bombarded with a bunch of quests at level 5 (an hour or two into the game rather than once they log in).

Sure am glad that we're trading in new content for this... /s

Honestly baffled that bug fixes for content people are paying for are pushed out in quarterly patches sometimes over half a year or more past release.

I am indeed happy with the quality of life buff to NB's signature ability which was frankly overdue. The changes to NB and Sorc seem intended to simplify gameplay rotation which may help new players to learn.

Concerning everything else though, the general "QoL" adjustments and bug fixes was laughable. Most of the bug fixes were minor things which do not affect gameplay. Nothing about stuck in combat or other more severe issues or pain points. I think the only improvement listed I was actually glad to see was allowing identical items to stack. Unless they simply didn't list the more anticipated fixes and adjustments, it almost feels like a pr stunt with the class and weapon changes serving as a distraction.

As usual, the changes introduced in the update are causing a lot of dissatisfaction. At this point, it can be boldly said that players are more afraid of updates than eagerly anticipating them. For me, the following reasons are enough to consider canceling my subscription.

Firstly, the changes to Endeavors - it is clearly a negative image move, considering that the "new" options are much worse, and most of them require purchasing DLC. Additionally, their nature makes them much more time-consuming. If there isn't a significant reward increase (at least 30-40 Seals), it simply becomes an obstacle in completing Endeavors.

Secondly, a patch focused on bug fixes doesn't mention anything about attempting to fix one of the oldest and most frustrating bugs in the game, namely the "stuck in combat" issue.

Thirdly, the changes to passive weapon skills. The drastic nerf to Inferno (Ancient Knowledge) and Lightning Staff (Tri Focus), without providing any alternatives, combined with the buff to bows, which already provided plenty of passive bonuses to anyone using them even without using bow-related skills, is a very off-putting decision.

I am doing my best, but I am not a native speaker, sorry.

"Difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including A Realm Reborn-tier overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver&Gold as a "you think you do but you don't"-tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game." - @AlexanderDeLarge

The monster sets, face and body markings in Cyrodiil and the scamp loots are boring.

0 templar changes but i like changes to other classes. Especially those with bar swap. I would like to see sorcerer pets to work with this new system too. Pets on 1 bar only would be perfect.

Eh. They're not too bad. But a couple of observations...

I am curious how the Destro staff changes will shake things up, and if it'll affect HA/Oakensoul users.

I've also heard some talks about how these changes will open more weapons options to HA users, so I'm wondering if Lightning Staff wil fall out of favor for another weapon.

    1. THE WORST PvP CLASSES (MagSorc, MagNecro) ARE GETTING EVEN WORSE.
    ZOS wrote:
Lightning Staff-Ancient Knowledge: This passive now increases your damage done with over time and channeled attacks by 6/12%, rather than increasing your damage done with Area of Effect attacks by 5/10%.
Lightning Staff-Tri Focus: This passive now only triggers on fully charged Heavy Attacks, rather than any tick of a Heavy Attack.

ZOS hits another nail in the LightArmor - Lightning Damage coffin.
Sorcs and Necros NEED HELP. But what do we get in U39? MORE NERFS. :s

    2. THE ENDEAVOUR CHANGES ARE HORRIBLE.
    XFxApbj.jpg

The original endeavour design was meant as a reward for just playing the game.
Therefore, the original design rewards general tasks people are doing anyway.

The new rewards come only for specific time consuming tasks.
The new design only rewards people willing to play things they do not want to play.

The original endeavour design probably was too successful.
Therefore, ZOS decided to kill it by making endeavours a chore. :s

Absolutely nothing in here to bring me back after taking a break for Archenfest. They continue to tune the game around Archanist instead of fitting the archanist into the game.

Nope, Magsorc is just dead if these changes go through. 10% damage nerf across the board, no buff to survivability in PvP or even reliability of the damage to make up for this either.

If these changes go through, sorc will purely be a stamina class only with maybe a magicka costing delayed burst (if they choose to run curse or frags over armaments).

I am happy with fixes like Overload, maybe I'll actually use it now. Also happy to see dk get toned down a notch. and my class NB gets buffed, but I am biased in that regard I admit. I was hoping to see more QoL changes. Who knows that might still change. it's only week one.

Now on to the negative. I'm really upset about these ~new~ endeavor that get shoved down our throats. Doing endeavors have been my daily routine since forever, and are the only thing that keep me going when the game feels like a slog. I don't get what they're thinking. It's not a good change and will only build resentment within the player base. It's a massive nerf to a great system and will massively decrease my enjoyment of the game.

They said Bug Fixes, I did not see anything about the constant getting booted between relogging characters bug, then not being able to get back in for 5-10 minutes.

I am not seeing anything that justifies the lack of new content. Also, I am beyond frustrated at how this will be another patch where magicka necromancer is left in the dust (made worse by the destro nerfs.)

    According to the patch notes:
"...but the list is quite short compared to other updates and is not indicative of everything we’d like to tune and tweak."

So, when? When will we get some actual improvements? 6 months? Next year?

The destro changes are unhinged and incomplete, the other combat changes are mediocre unless you play one of the dev favourites, most of the bug fixes are incredibly minor and inconsequential.
The quest marker thing is mostly pointless (level 6? Level 10? That's like 30 minutes of gameplay.)

    Scamp treasure is whatever.

New Cyrodiil 2-piece sets is cool though.

So yeah, pretty disappointing patch notes.
