Nobody seems happy (except NB, what a surprise!).
Weird Changes on destructions staves.
Nothing for templar & necro(almost) from a pvp perspective.
No fix on the "stuck in combat" bug.
Nothing for ending the borring pvp proc set meta (zaan/marselock + twin slashes + vateshrann staff)
Light nerf on DK but no work for balancing every classes.
They add somes pvp monster set which is still a good idea

Dual wield daggers seems to still be the undisputed choice for most PvE builds and I'm not qualified to comment on the PvP impact because it's been a mess since day 1.

I like that some skills provide passive benefits whenever they're slotted instead of being on the active bar, and I'd love if the trend continued and expanded towards some passive and some other skills as well, but I understand limiting it to class skills for the moment and seeing how things go and having the ability to expand in the future is the better choice.

The patch notes were very light. I know this was supposed to be a quality of life/ bug fix patch, I just didn't see meaningful changes in those areas. So many bugs/crashes weren't addressed at all. Additionally, I can't even point to anywhere where my quality of life will improve. This patch is a whole bunch of nothing. What are the devs even doing?

Lots of good stuff but way less than I expected, not the things I had hoped for with a lot of long standing issues still being completely ignored and over all very little reason to log into the game again.

Buff stamplar jabs' damage, return stealth to Bosmer and I'll at least be happy enough to get through all the other bad stuff. But if I don't enjoy playing my main characters, then I don't enjoy playing ESO. And that means I won't be spending any money on it either.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

I do like the direction some of the changes are pointing us in, such as passive on bar skill buffs applying to both bars; I'm glad to see they are pushing that out further than just arcanist. I actually like the staff changes people are so upset about. Think creatively and you will see some unique builds are becoming available, and some kill potential is being added to PvP, both of which are good.

I will say, though I think this patch is mainly to address bugs, that the degree of combat changes are a tad underwhelming. Still no REAL love for Necro even with the buffs they did, and still waaay too much power on DK even with the slight nerf.

Hopefully we will see further changes in...week 3? Idk. But all in all it's a decent patch for a bug solve patch I feel

The single best thing about this patch so far is antiquity lines being available in the store. Which is really just quite sad.

Happy and excited is too much emotion for me; I am okay with it.

For one thing, players have been requesting a bug fix patch at the expense of content for years. Maybe it's not the most wanted bug fixes, but it's still a list of bug fixes.

    Point two.. PVP monster sets.

I have not been to the PTS to test the weapon changes and class changes. There seems to be a kerfuffle over those.

I'm not super excited about it but, I wasn't expecting much either so I don't have much to be disappointment about.

Kelesan'ruhn has a cool view, a nice waterfall, and is of a size that one could actually afford to decorate it without being ultra wealthy. My only complaints with it are that walking out the door of the far section has the background pop in around a second or two after you leave which looks a bit funny but that might just be my machine being a potato and it also feels like the connection between the rooms is a little odd as it feels like you move up and down via the connection but actually travel more left to right.

Shadow Queen's Labyrinth is not something I'll ever get but, it looks like it would be impressive to some.

The visuals of the new PvP armor sets look quite nice. I'm not sure the set bonuses will really make PvP better but...

From a balance perspective, the Nightblade didn't necessarily need the changes but, from a gameplay perspective it does have some appeal. For example, I didn't run Cloak on many of my Nightblades because from an optimization perspective it was dead weight in much of the content I did even though it fit well with the style of the character.

I like that they are delaying the appearance of some of the quests as it can get overwhelming at lower levels. I did still get hit at level three by one of the main quest npcs but that may ahve been intended. Personally, I'd like it to be a bit later on some of them but, moving it to 15 is an improvement.

The changes to the kill enemy players quest in Cyrodiil may alter the behavior of players doing it for the daily. Previously, you could get the 40 easily by tagging people in a big fight. Now, the requirement is 150 and depending on what the requirement for "contribution" is just hitting people a few times may not be enough. This might mean that players will instead choose the capture nine resources if they are after an easy quest and may choose lower pop campaigns over high pop campaigns (It's easier to grab resources alone if nobody is around. This also might mean that the weaker factions might lose more resources because they tend to be easier to steal resources from. The factions doing well have enough people looking for a fight that they seem to be more likely to defend resources).

I'm somewhat concerned about the PvP kill alerts (I don't really want a boatload of people getting a message every time I die) but, since I haven't actually experienced them in game I'm not really able to comment much on specifics.

I got an absolute boatload of achievements when I logged on. I'd expect the beneficiaries of the additions would be newer players that will experience getting them as they earn them rather than a boatload all at once.

I think in the short term the changes to loot for Hew's Bane, Imperial City, and Cyrodiil will make the experience better. I found it a little frustrating when I was going through the delves in Cyrodiil how all the loot I got was garbage of the same sets. I got Baharas Curse for my Necro a while back and it was a major pain. In the long run, it may devalue the goods if the content to provide them gets much usage.

I'm not a fan of the change to Bow's but, it's something other people have been asking about for at least a year so...

I echo this. We've seen way more significant QoL updates in patches that came with content (e.g. the item set collection came with the Markarth DLC, the armory system came with the Deadlands DLC, ability bar timers came with Blackwood etc.)

And the bug fixes are similar to ones that come along with content as well. I was expecting much more high profile bugs to be fixed, such as the infamous stuck in combat bug.

I was wondering, since we have to kill 3.75x more players, will the quest rewards be 3.75x greater also? I haven't tested it, but my guess is they didn't touch even the amount of AP the quest gives. I'd love to be proven wrong on this.

I'm still not clear on how exactly this will work, but in big fights I can imagine it becoming quite spammy.

It's possible it's a bug since I got the initial main quest at level 3 but, at level 5 I had the Prophet bugging me in a base game zone on the PTS.

I'm mainly disappointed that the majority of fixes were only minor changes related to quests. I was expecting at least one major bug to be fixed or at least mentioned, but there wasn't. The removal of the two major QoL features was just extra.

I would guess that the reason the fixes are almost all quest related is because there's no quest related content for the rest of the year, and the devs responsible for quest content were the only ones available to do bug fixes while the devs in different departments are spending all their resources on the endless dungeon. If that's the case, it's still a disappointment since it's just quest fixes instead of gameplay fixes, and gameplay bugs are the ones that are the most noticeable. I would hope that this isn't the same case the next time they do a bug fix patch because if it is, Q3 can be written off as filler going forward.

This is being taken out of context.
"The Prophet and other Base Game main quest bestowers will now only appear in Chapter and DLC cities after you are at least level 5 and have completed the first quest in the respective Zone Story."

It's just saying that if you started in a DLC zone, which anyone with any of the expansions has a choice of where they want to start nowadays, you won't get the prophet bugging you about the base game main quest until you hit level 5.
It's not saying anything about removing the prophet quest from the base game.

Change to staff passives is very disappointing. Pigeonholing flame staff into status effect builds hurts build variety and exacerbates the PvP vate staff meta even further. Uncalled for nerf that forces us to play one specific playstyle. I hope at least bows keep the buff and not change further till live so we can switch to that

I'm disappointed due to how limited the changes are. None of the bugs that regularly and significantly impact my gameplay (e.g. stuck in combat, nonfunctioning group finder, etc) have been addressed. I don't feel like I have any new builds to try out or characters to revisit because the combat changes were so limited in scope. I also don't feel like the QoL changes are significant enough to make a noticeable difference in my general game experience.

To be honest, I was most excited about this patch following the announcements because meaningful QoL improvements can make the existing game *so* much better. Instead this feels like a fairly typical amount of bug fixes and changes for a quarterly patch but *without* actual new content.
