Treasure chests hidden in rocks

I found this one only because of having the Keen Eye: Treasure Chests in Excavation skills.
For characters without this skill, these chests placed inside rocks are practically invisible/inaccessible.

I cant see your pic, but would this happen to be in one of the base zones like Greenshade? Some of those change instance depending on quest progress and the chests get hidden like this.

Yes a base zone and normal area in The Rift, a random chest embedded in rock, visible only with the "Keen Eye" effect as the glow comes up through the rock while the chest is completely hidden.

This happens all over the place! My favorite is in Blessed Crucible, on the pedestal right before Captain Thoran boss. The Keen Eye: Treasure Chests passive really made it way more obvious just how poorly placed some treasure chest spawns are.

And Treasure Chests aren't alone. There are several resource nodes too that spawn inside the ground, or even several feet off the ground. Cyrodiil and base game zones in specific are riff with these issues. Its 1 of 100 reasons why players would like ZOS to go back over old content and fix/clean them up.

@Billium813, here's a tip that has always worked for me with the chest in Blessed Crucible: /reloadui

If that doesn't help while you're standing next to where the chest is, go back a room or two in the direction you came from and /reloadui again.

It has never failed to work for me, although I normally go back a room or two before I /reloadui. I honestly can't remember if I've ever tried it while standing beside the chest.

/reloadui respawns chests, hs, and resource nodes? I didn't think those spawn locations were client side though! Everyone in the group sees the chest inside the ground too.
