Suggestion: a mundus stone for Inspiration

I just created 7 crafting alts, and was thinking it would be really nice for crafting characters if there was a mundus stone that increased inspiration (because I didn't make all the crafters an orc, only one of them, because all orcs would be boring). We could just call it The Crafter! :) Or perhaps The Muse.

There's a green CP passive that already does this. Plus its easier to save all excess gear you pick up that isn't ornate for deconstruction not just those that are intricate. You can bulk craft white items on your main then pass to your alts to deconstruct with the highest material, if its ruby you make it all 150cp items. Save bookshelf reading when they're up in the 40s range as they always give a full skill point, better at the later levels than the lower ones. Learning rune or alchemy traits also in the 40-45 range for big inspiration gains.

In the meantime, don’t forget to grab the inspiration node in the green CP tree on alts. Points can be invested immediately on new characters.

Edited because apparently “CP” means an ellipsis now?

Damn, I completely forgot about that, and I guess it would make "The Muse" a bit redundant, but this is actually the first time I've created alts, because I've been on only 1 character since I started playing ESO in April 2020.

I'll put CP into Inspiration Boost, Plentiful Harvest, Master Gatherer, Meticulous Disassembly and Steed's Blessing. Thanks so much for the reminder! :) I actually have a standard 'crafting' CP allocation I use on my main char, but it has Treasure Hunter instead of Inspiration Boost, so the alts can use this allocation with only that node changed.

I just got all 7 alts certified and they did their first set of daily writs, so I'm making good progress. I did them all at the same time, so they're all just under level 8 right now.

A mundus stone a set, a monster set and a mythic item for inspiration. Each increasing it 100% would be great.

it takes the absolute barest of effort and and an exceptionally quick time to get level 50 in all crafting skills... why create a mundus specifically for this that a new player would use to turn a 1 day task into a 3/4 a day task? Then, no they would never ever use that mundus ever again...

This request would be bad for player experience overall because it would meaninglessly speed up something that has already been trivialized. It's not always good to speed through the game into the late game, asap. It trivializes all of the middle game.

I'm not sure there can be a new mundus created, realistically. There's only so many Munduses, they're the Signs you are born under. You'd have to make up a new month. Additionally, it's another thing for people to buy and it wouldn't be locatable in base-game zones like the rest of them.

Yes...I support that suggestion 100% for the sole reason that another mundus stone would mean 14 stones total, so I can line them up nicely in my house. The lack of symmetry is triggering my OCD.

You can make a symmetrical design with an odd number. That said, I think there being an odd number of Munduses is actually pretty important. The odd one out—The Serpent—roams the sky in a way much unlike the other 12. Adding another roaming Mundus would ruin the originality of The Serpent. I would also like to add that there are three main Munduses, each with 3 underneath them… so adding another month to add another Mundus would throw off the calendar AND the organization of Munduses.

To OP, if you want a crafting mundus, I’d propose two other munduses get combined instead. Like spell and weapon damage or something.

Its actually incredibly quick and easy to level crafting as there are a ton of crafting related bonuses already in-game plus another ton of tips and tricks, way too many to mention here, that expediate the process like you wouldn't believe :)

1 day!? I was clearly doing something wrong, then. It took me a great deal longer than that to get my main character up to level 50 in the 7 crafts - although this wasn't my only activity at the time.

...you do realize the lore reason for having 13 Mundus stones, right?

I know a lot of people playing ESO are here for the "O" part, but one of the main reasons that ESO is surviving is because they actually cater pretty hard to the "ES" part as well. A lot of players are long-time Elder Scrolls fans.

There are specifically 13 constellations. There is not another one. If you want to add inspiration to another stone, fine, but don't expect the greater TES fanbase to accept "yeah, let's just make up a brand new constellation because reasons."

Besides, inspiration is one of the only character things that expires, since it's irrelevant once a character hits 50 (hey, if we want to talk racials, which other race gets to lose one of their bonuses a few months after you start playing them?). Especially since several of the crafting skills can be cheesed by crafting stuff and tossing it in the bank for an alt.

The first one is the hardest because it gets easier as you bring crafters online. Doing daily writ quests give you ornate and intricate items you can quickly decon for inspiration. The more crafters the faster you can bring one online.

For enchanting just ask a friend to craft you a bunch of glyphs to decon and mail them to you. Green/blue work decently.

Provisioning and alchemy Is just about spamming foods and pots till you hit 50.
