Dungeons Finder - let people see who's queueing.

Please allow people to see who is queueing for what dungeon and what roll they are queueing with.
This way people can flock together and have visibility of how to get a group fast and what roles are required to make the group work.
If four dps are queueing for the same dungeon and they all have the capability of chosing a different role they can swap to what's needed.

this will make the queueing system much faster and allow people to get into fighting more often.
I've been in a specific dungeon queue for over 2 hours and 20 minutes; even though i've had messages saying "you're at the top of the queue" after some one backing out.

thanks.

Like what guild wars 2 has for their LFG tool. Groups are listed and it shows a role icon for each player who's in the group and a blank slot that's available for another to join. Players can select what ever group they want to join and are automatically accepted and are teleported to that specific dungeon.

I would like it if ESO add in something into LFG that's similar to what guild wars 2 has as another option. Eso already got random dungeon, random veteran dungeon, specific dungeon, and now they need custom groups.

I would be happy if when it puts the group together and one player selects not to group or times out, It gave the option for the 3 to group and lets the group lead select look for replacement of missing role.

This would be a great benefit to the players as lots of times a group of 3 can get a 4th faster than the tool by asking in guilds or zone chat. Also often a group of 3 can complete a Dungeon.

If someone backs out and it requeues you, NEVER just wait. Instead, leave the queue and requeue yourself. It sucks, but the automatic requeue almost never works the way its supposed to. It's like it takes the partial group, sets it aside, and forgets about it entirely. Iv had waits of over an hour with it never popping again before I just leave the queue. However, requeueing manually, Iv had it pop again fairly quickly.

I don't use the finder for myself, but they should really give players more freedom regarding roles when using it.

Something like "I'm fine without tank" and "No healer needed" options you can activate.

Nobody is forcing you to run without healer. No need to change game mechanics. If you don't like it, don't use it.

First of all is the healing role not unnecessary in this game, they are still needed for trials and coordinated PvP in bigger groups.

Regarding dungeons you're right: Basically all dungeons can be done without healer, if (and only then) the players know how to do that, which takes some skill. Otherwise (for example newer players or players which are unable to adapt to different situations out of whatever reason) it's still better to have a healer in your group.

Additionally there will always be more damage dealers in a game than tanks and healers. I won't speculate about the reasons, but it is a reality in every mmo around, including those which make having a healer a necessity. The waiting in the latter is even longer (try swtor master mode as solo dd, but expect a waiting period of at least 1 hour).

You should indeed be happy, that it's possible to run without healer. It lessens the wait for all players, which are in need of them. A toggle like I suggested would improve this situation further.

We form up before queuing which helps us avoid any of these issues. It’s quick and easy and helps ensure a smoother run.

I've had the opposite experience. 90% of the time when I queue as a DPS and someone fails to confirm during ready check, the queue pops again almost instantly. I think the only time it hasn't is when I queue for a specific dungeon rather than a random.

RND may be a bit different? who knows. But I still think it's safer to dequeue and requeue, rather than let the auto handle it. It CAN work out... but it often doesn't.

MIght be ok when queuing as a tank or healer, but not as a DPS. I'd definitely rather take my chances on remaining in queue than having to wait 30+ minutes again by requeueing.

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/General:ESO_2023_Global_Reveal
Pete Hines: Some amazing stuff. And that's not all we've got cooking. Like every Chapter, we offer loads of side quests, a new trial, there's world events, public dungeons, delves, and more. Roughly how much content do you think we're talking here, Rich?

Rich Lambert: Players can expect around 30 hours of content just from the main storyline, in addition to all the side content and everything you just mentioned.

Pete Hines: Always so much to do in an Elder Scrolls Chapter. The team has really pulled out all the stops with Necrom.

Rich Lambert: We really have, and players won't have to wait too long to begin their Shadow Over Morrowind adventure. Players will be able to begin their adventures this March with our first DLC.

Pete Hines: Awesome. I will definitely be checking that out. Before we wrap things up, let's talk about some changes that you're planning to the ESO calendar.

Rich Lambert: Absolutely. So ESO is a living, breathing world that is constantly evolving. As a team, we're always evaluating where we are, what the game needs, and the community's sentiment around how well we're doing. Over the years, we have made many changes based on these evaluations. But one of the fundamental pillars that hasn't changed has always been to create as much story content as we possibly can to try to keep up with our players and their insatiable desire for new stories and adventures. And this constant drive is one of the reasons why ESO has become one of the best games on the market today. There's so much to do, so many stories and locations to experience, tons of systems and various activities to participate in, solo or with friends.

    Pete Hines: So what's changing?

Rich Lambert: We want to continue on creating these new adventures while also addressing quality-of-life feedback and bugs that have emerged over time. In other words, we want to focus on polish and iterate more on cool ideas, be it stories or systems. With the overall goal of making each release as solid as it can be. The first half of the year isn't really going to change much. We've been hard at work on a lot of this stuff for a very long time. We're still doing a Dungeon DLC with two new dungeons and a prolog quest to kick off this new arc. The Chapter is releasing in June with all the goodies you love and expect. Where things are changing this year are fall and winter.

Pete Hines: That's great news for players. Don't stop. Keep going.

Rich Lambert: Late summer, our focus is going to be on bugs and quality-of-life additions. Things like premade group finder or an all-in-one attunable set-crafting station as examples. There won't be any dungeons in this update, because for Update 40, which comes towards the end of the year, the team is working on something really epic, something pretty special that they just need more time on.

Pete Hines: I mean, come on, Rich. We got to give them more than that.

Rich Lambert: Okay, fine. How does an endless dungeon with a buddy sound?

    Pete Hines: Sounds good.

Rich Lambert: We'll have a lot more info on this later in this year, but I'm insanely excited about this.

I have stop bothering with dungeons due to this issue, ever since i returned playing ESO, and using the finder to complete the dailies, 7 out of 10 i will get a group where 1 or 2 players will just Yolo everything and end the dungeon in under 20 min.

I really didn't have to do anything as DPS, since some Op players will just kite every mobs and just nuke them. and because of that, i really lost motivation to even do dungeons since i felt that DPS are barely useful at all in the random pugs.

Guess dungeons statement is true then? Healers only get 2 pieces of content then?

Damage dealers should not do as much as healing as a fully speced Healer

Healers get the same amount of content as tanks and damage dealers. Out of group content roles aren't existing. And damage dealers can't do everything a well geared healer provides.

When it comes to "full heals" tho, which are providing healing nobody is in need of, they are unnecessary, yes. But that's a l2p issue on the healer's side.

On a sidenote: It seems a bit you're trying to kill off other peoples fun so you can have more for yourself tbh.

Tanks usually get instant queues, sometimes it takes few minutes. I usually get around 10 min queue on DD, but people say it can be as bad as 40 min for DD queue. It means there are hundreds or thousands of DDs per 1 tank in queue.
Without the ability to see who is in queue, tank is usually the correct role for fast queue. Sometimes its healer, so i have a healer build armory slot.
I haven't ever seen a DD instant queue.
