Could it have anything to do with those who bought the game on the 30th and had that weird registration issue?

It sounds like it to me anyway, as I bought mine on around then and also had the registration issues where my game didn't show up on my account.0 -
ow3n✭I bought the game much earlier than 30th and had no problem with my 5 day early acces but today i got "login incorrect" suprise. and i'm 100+ in queue to log-in to my account... I gues i'm not allone with this problem today
