She also says things like "Jakarn has tried to hit on me no less than three times. I don't have the heart to tell him", plus expresses interest in at least three different female NPCs that I can think of, while the comments about Bolgrul just feel like curiosity to me, wondering about his favorite delve and such.
I guess it's not 110% confirmed that she's into girls only, and likely won't be unless romance with companions is ever added as a feature, but I just have this feeling my Templar is pining for the wrong girl.
That's probably just because it was Jakarn. He definitly wouldn't be my first pick either.
In my opinion, "Don't have the heart to tell him" implies that's she flattered/charmed but he's barking up the wrong tree for some unexplained reason. Despite the impression High Isle might give, Jakarn is generally considered to be charming and handsome in the world of Tamriel. So, it's unsurprising Isobel thought it was cute even if she couldn't reciprocate. I think if she merely didn't like him, she'd have explained it some other way.
I think, ultimately, that people can be allowed to fantastize about who they wish when it comes to fictional characters. Even if it's "out of character", it's still the realm of fiction and not hurting any real people. If a person writes a fanfiction about a bisexual Isobel, it won't affect the character in the game.

Just in case anyone thought I was trying to shut down other people's fantasy or fanfiction about a bisexual Isobel, that's totally not the case. It's just my opinion that the writers clearly intend her to be gay, which is also absolutely fine.

It’s as though in game romances in rpgs aren’t incredibly popular or something. Not understanding multiple attempts at shaming we have in this thread.
Kudos to the character designers, writers, and voice actors who bring characters to life we want kisses from lol.

I play ESO partly to simulate having a life, purpose, etc, in a much more appealing world/universe compared to our own. Why draw the line there though, right? I want to simulate having a romantic companion and friends as well. SWTOR does romances pretty well (not enough for my tastes - you just get together and that's it) and there was marriage in Skyrim. It'd be cool to even buy these from the crown store which are like houseguest/companion (non combat) so you can take them out on dates. Maybe you can also /dance with them and also with the regular companions. Adoption or something would compliment this feature.
Same here . I so badly wish I could escape the real world and somehow move to Tamriel.PrimeSeptim wrote: »shadyjane62 wrote: »Even seeing this thread is creepy.

As someone who desperately wants to pretend that my real life doesn't suck as much as it does right now, I agree 100% with this message.

Jakarn comes to mind, granted I actually expect him to make that attempt someday.
