Weekly endeavours

What kind of time wasting people can do this? :/
I'm working hard morning from night as game graphic designer...

this is a reason why I had taken a 4 months break not long ago.

4-5 years ago, the gameplay felt different. I was exploring new zones, often just riding around, then dropping to do some of the quests of the area where I arrived. Loved this style of play.
Meanwhile though, the game "dictates" your pace.
    - You explore instead of doing events? You will get no tickets or deadroth costume.
    - You explore instead of spending hours doing weekly endeavours? You will not get seals, and instead need to pay hundrets of Dollars if you want to get a cool mount.
    - You explore instead of levelling 10 crafters for daily crafting writs? You will have problems getting the mats required to improve your gear.
    - you explore instead of levelling up scrying and grinding for oakensoul et al? You will do less damage.

So at a certain point I suddenly felt "hunted". If I would not join those who grind the game and do nothing else, I would not play it "correctly".
The break helped me to get the rquired distance. I now do no longer max out gear, I refuse to grind, I explore again and just play the content I can, don't try trials or DLC vet dungeons any longer.
Actually start to enjoy playing again.

So for the weeklies this week I'll either do BGs away from keyboard or skip them completely.

I have a job too. I'm willing to bet most everyone that gets it done does. It's going to take me like an a hour tops to knock out the arenas.

Not the best selection of weekly seals for sure.
I did grab my healer and completed 4 Battlegrounds, being lucky that 2 of them where done in 5 minutes.

I miss the weekly where we get the ''Deal X amount of dmg with siege weapons''.Haven't seen it in some time now.

    lol
so "LFG AFK BG endeav Say thank to Zeni"
    this week will be fun

i still wonder which one will be fast as nVA is 20-ish min for me

4 BGs (does not matter if you play or afk) is the fastest way to get weekly endeavours vs doing 2 Trials or 3 Arenas.

So it is more like time vs reward. If you see people afk in BGs don't blame them. Blame ZOS for not adding an overland or at least group dungeon endeavour. Instead of Trials or Arenas, there should be either Group Dungeon or Public Dungeon group challenge.

For a "true" BGs players, it kinda sucks, but it is what it is :|

I would rather forego the seals than spoil it for someone else.

I don't do trials and I find arenas completely tedious so I guess I'll do 4 battlegrounds.

They really should always offer a non-combat option though.

I hate this level of time persecution.

I work 40-50-60 hours a week, depending on the week. I hang out with friends, see movies, go for drinks. I read an hour a day. I write 30 minutes a day. I watch a few hours of tv every day. I workout. I also find time to play games I enjoy. Like any other hobby any one else has, it's disrespectful to shame people for spending time on it. So, you don't have that time. Sorry to hear it. Others do, and to call us time wasters is absurd. To say we don't work hard at other things in our life is disrespectful.

You can run nMA with a lvl 10 char. Throw in some xp scrolls and use training gear and it is actually pretty decent xp.

Been playing this game for 7+ years, and for the first time ever, I did a BG match today; two, in fact. Those saying how quick BGs are seem to be mistaken, at least on Xbox. I was in Chaos Ball first where my team placed 2nd, which isn't the worst, I suppose, but it took forever! The second one I was in was Crazy King, where again we were 2nd place and it was so loooooooong! UGH.

I'll probably do the other 2 matches for the weekly endeavor tomorrow, as I just couldn't face anymore long matches today. As usual with any PVP activity in ESO, I disliked it and was bored out of my mind by the simple, repetitive tasks. Just not my cup of tea at all.

I'm guessing there are a lot of people like me who mostly PVE that are doing BGs today, as I killed a lot of the players on the other teams, and I seldom have killed very many at all when I am forced to Cyro for an event. I'm not geared for PVP, and having no Champion points seriously affected my sustain, therefore my survivability, even on my MagDK, and she's my tankiest character.

I sure hope they don't make a habit of these kinds of choices for weekly endeavors, not fun at all for me.

What I think's actually worth moaning about is the horrible bias every day and week towards damage dealers. Where is the taunt 250 enemies weekly? Or heal 250 allies? Why is it always DD-centric? Some of us main supports, you know!

I usually sit it out when they are all combat-related, but especially when they are pvp or can't be completed solo. I prefer things I do anyway like harvesting resources.

I appreciate that Zenimax has provided options for players who do not enjoy PvP, but the alternative can be more complicated. Instead of resorting to negatively impacting others' fun, I hope Zenimax can simplify the process of opting out of PvP. I understand that PvP is an integral part of this game, and I respect the enjoyment it brings to those who participate in it.

I understand that some people don't like these endeavor choices, but keep in mind that they're totally optional. There is absolutely zero reason to do something in the game that you really hate. Missing out on some seals is a small price to pay to avoid content you despise.

However, consider the possibility that it may encourage you to try out something that you'd been avoiding. I've always been a dedicated solo player and I used to hate running 4-man dungeons, mostly because I have a hard time remembering and following weird, unintuitive mechanics. The introduction of set collections in conjunction with the transmute system finally pushed me to try some out. Now I rarely miss a day doing a random normal and am working on getting the last handful of dungeon quests completed on my 16 characters.

You know the old saying. When life (ZOS) gives you lemons...go murder a clown.

I agree that this week's weekly endeavors are a poorly crafted menu. This may be the first weekly ever that I may skip.

yes, they usually spread them across the various game areas , one simple overland task (35 world bosses or 200 harvestings etc ) in addition to the above would have satisfied everyone.
You consider 35 world bosses in a week (5 per day) to be "simple" ? Some of us can't afford to spend all our time gaming.

2 normal maelstrom arenas then. It's easy most of the way, the hardest round is the poison one and you can take on multiple poison stacks before clearing a pool. If healing is problematic, you can overcome most of the damage with Strategic Reserve red CP, let your ultimate go up to 500, and you'll have at least 1500 health recovery at all times.

Yeah, I had tried nMA a couple of years ago but got stuck at Round 5 because I couldn't prevent all of the ice platforms from being destroyed, gave up after a dozen or so deaths, and never bothered to try again.

I tried again last night-- on a different character, who ironically happens to be somewhat less capable than my main server main who I'd used years ago-- and was able to get through Round 5 without much trouble (only 1 death). But then I couldn't get through Round 7; I gave up after about a dozen deaths.

I'll give it another try, especially on my more-capable main server main (who has improved since a few years ago), because on the whole it was more fun than I'd remembered it being.

And if I make it through nMA, I suppose I'll finally give nVH a try, as well.

Otherwise, I guess I'll try to join in on some normal trial runs with fellow guild members, or maybe-- MAYBE-- try some BGs. :)

No, it might take you 1 hour to do them all, but for many of us it's a very time-consuming activity. Players have different abilities. I can solo *some* world bosses but not others, and in my time zone, finding groups to do them with is difficult.

I'm not a fan of "You completed Round 98, now get ready for Round 99" gameplay, either, but nMA was much more enjoyable last night than I remembered it being a few years ago-- until I got stuck again and it stopped being fun again.

Sooner or later, I'm bound to give BGs a try. But right now I feel about those the way that some players seem to feel about ToT. Actually, the likelihood of me ever giving BGs a try is probably about 100 times higher than the likelihood of some players ever giving ToT a try. To each their own.

If I end up missing out on this week's weekly endeavors, then so be it; it certainly won't kill me. The day I actually missed out on the daily endeavors on my main server, I had a Big Sad-- for about 3 seconds. And then I got over it. I even deliberately let myself miss out on a couple of daily endeavors on my alt server a few months later so my number of seals would be equal on both servers again. Missing out on something and realizing that the world didn't end after all can be a blessed relief, releasing all the tension and anxiety you'd been building up from too much FOMO.

This is too much bad idea. Each people have different interest against ESO.

    ZOS must consider about diversity.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything. If you're not able to decide for yourself that you need to skip stuff in the game when real life is more important, that's a "you" problem, not the game.

    Some arenas are solo activities....

I do think from a time spent perspective this week is not that balanced. Usually there is one "boring but quicker" option, right? But arenas take a certain amount time, even in normal, because of the transitions.

Even when I am doing trials I barely have time for more than one a week.

And the battlegrounds are fixed length.

So to me that's more the issue this week.
