thankfully Starfield is out this year so I can go clear my head of all these greedy tactics they have been introducing into the game of late, its wrecking the game.
Remember creation club and fallout 76s monetization which was based off the practices started here?
It will be the same in star field and in es6.

Dude, Starfield, assuming it actually lands this year, will be exactly the same. Prepare yourself for that now.

likely no, since the polymorph is directly added to collections, it doesnt all the sudden become a runebox that you can trade if you already had it
I didn’t mean anything like that, what I meant was since the polymorph is a one time thing, are they 25 crates a one time purchase or can we buy more of them? Or once you’ve bought them you can only do the 15 unless gifting gets fixed
In the official article, it says "we’re also introducing a new 25-crate bundle as a one-time purchase ". So I'm assuming you can only buy the 25 pack once.
~
So why are people getting so upset about gifting? You bought it for yourself but then want to gift your friend so they get the polymorph but **poof** it’s gone because you can’t purchase it anymore.
Also I get where everyone is annoyed because the polymorph looks amazing and people who can’t afford it won’t be able to get it. Still, once you buy 1 round of 25 crates that’s it. You can’t gift or buy again
Hi All. Thanks for the pings in this thread. Wanted to follow up on this issue. Currently 5 Ragebound Crate items not converting into gems. This is not intended. We have let our teams know and they are working on a fix for this. Only the following items are affected, and are not providing a gem breakdown value as intended:
- Legendary Reward: Crown Crafting Motif 67: Welkynar Style - 33 gem value
- Legendary Reward: Crown Crafting Motif 55: Dreadhorn Style - 33 gem value
- Legendary Reward: Orb of the Spirit Queen - 33 gem value
- Epic Reward: Reach Chandelier, Hagraven - 13 gem value
- Epic Reward: Rite of the Harrowforged - 13 gem value
As for right now, unopened crates will be fixed if you leave them unopened until after the fix is live. Once the fix is available, when you get duplicate of the above mentioned crate items, you'll get the intended gem conversion.
For those who have opened some Ragebound Crates already or still plan on doing so prior to the fix, please keep the items and do not destroy them. When the fix rolls out, you will get the correct gems in the future as long as you do not DESTROY the item.
Thanks again for letting us know and we are working on getting this issue resolved.

it sounds like they are still working on a fix for that, and if the whole crown store was shut down they would be losing way more money lol

It should be visible to everyone. Is it not? If so, if you (or a friend) can provide a screenshot, we can get that over to our teams to investigate.

I’m the one glowing on right and the person on left isn’t glowing, this is on Xbox NA
Hi all, just to follow up here. As noted in the article, "Note that the Shade polymorph is automatically unlocked and added to your collectibles when you acquire this one-off bundle (25 Ragebound Crate Bundle) and is not included in the crates themselves."
We are actively trying to get crown crate gifting back up, but our team is still working through some issues related to gifting. As for feedback around the Shade Polymorph being tied to the Ragebound Crate bundle, we will submit any and all feedback related to this to the team. We know this is new, so your feedback is appreciated here. Thanks all.
I mean, if the team is aware that crate gifting is "bugged", they absolutely should not be releasing a unique polymorph like this that is locked behind a $60-$75 purchase. Many of us longtime players make all of our crown crate purchases with ingame gold, because we have enormous amounts of it with nothing else to spend it on. It is absolutely predatory and deceptive to release this polymorph in this manner at this point in time.
It should be purchasable with gems either indefinitely or until gifting is fixed, or it shouldn't be released at all until gifting is fixed.
