I will hide shoulders gear in my main and some alts
All of my mages. All of them. I've been hiding light Honor Guard shoulders underneath robes for years, time to finally end the clipping.

This. It has nothing to do with "main" or "alt", it has entirely to do with the outfit I'm trying to make.
I have some characters that will remove shoulders, some that won't, and some that are wearing costumes.

Whatever looks good, judged character by character, outfit by outfit. This frankly seems like the only answer to me.

I'll hide shoulders if the outfit looks better without. Whether the outfit is for a main or alt character makes no difference.

Agreed. Very strange poll options. I will hide shoulders or not depending on what looks best on each outfit.

Hell yes. Only on ones where the shoulders fit with their outfit, but nearly all won't have the shoulders.
Most of my characters are wearing the Honor Guard "shoulders" that are only an arm strip anyway. The price of that crafting motif (500k+ PC NA) tells you how much people want this feature.

      Sometimes.

But mostly it's due to a lot of shoulders looking too bulky on light and medium armours and and not enough asymmetrical options (that I have found).

No, I like how my shoulders look. If I didn't like it, I would choose another style, that's all.

Never really worried about it, I will try out the hide shoulders option see what it looks like and go from there, most of the time though I don't expect I will bother with it.

We have the option to hide head gear, so why not those equally distressing and ghastly shoulder flippers !

Having the option is surely the way the go, then everyone is happy :)

I'm the same as others where I'll use it depending on the outfit. I already know some characters are definitely keeping the shoulders.

My sorcerer who uses Knight of the Circle shoulders with the chest piece will keep them. I think they look quite good, not floaty, and she looks good with broad, armored shoulders.
My necromancer uses the light Pyre Watch shoulders with the Steadfast Society chest, and they actually blend together quite well. The shoulders fill the arm space out and actually look better there than not, so she'll keep hers.

My nightblade assassin's outfit is my attempt at making a subtle Dark Brotherhood getup. Most of it is light Assassin's League. She's one of my oldest characters, and I remember back when I made her outfit, I wanted no shoulders for her. I ended up doing light Dark Brotherhood, thinking it looked slightly off but not too bad. I think I actually grew to like them though. So she might get hide shoulders, but I'm not sure yet. I think it's funny how the one character I ''knew'' I wanted hide shoulders for, I'm second guessing when we finally get it.

Main/alt has nothing to do with it.
In some cases, characters that just didn't wear a shoulder piece at all will now wear a hidden one.

Kinda silly poll. It obviously depends on the outfits themselves. Some look good with shoulders, others don't. And that counts for both my main and my alts. So my answer is "I will hide shoulders on some of my characters, some of the time".

Like most people, it really depends on the outfit.

      Some look good with shoulders...

I think that my current outfit on my main and only so far character is going to look better with the shoulderpiece (breton light, forgot the tier) than with none, but I will give it a thought, and I can see definitelly a use of hide shoulders in outfits in the future :)

There are some chest pieces that are hard to match with shoulders, or having a shoulder doesn't quite give the look I want, and others that they look good, or complete the ensemble.

Your choices on the poll are odd... I'm not sure what main vs alt has to do in this context.

Where's the "some characters"? I have a very decorative shoulder I like on my main, but I'm sure one or two other characters will hide theirs at some point. I use costumes for most because of the silly requirement for the tabard to be displayed to get a guild tag. Most costumes I use don't have shoulder pieces.

I said all, but i have a couple of shoulder motifs that are almost invisible, Taesci if i spelled that right. So i may not hide on those.

But all the other ones, hiding them.

It really depends on how the shoulders and outfit look....
I build my outfits for my own aesthetic ... if I don't like it, I don't run it .... that said, some chest pieces are really nice, and would be great, if they weren't paired up with shoulder pads that seem to have been designed purely to compete with the Game BloodBowl.
