Are they resetting on crash or as soon as you try to change them? Crashing means your settings will likely not get saved properly - and that can even result in your saved variables for add-ons getting wiped out, so it would probably be a good idea in general to back up UserSettings and the Saved Variables folder with all the various crashes going on right now.

First thing I'm greeted with is a giant red banner at the top about how everything is on fire.
Looks like that's a no, then.
It's not HarvestMapData that is a problem, it's HarvestMap, and the problem with that particular addon is specifically the library NodeDetection used by HarvestMap. If you delete the NodeDetection subdirectory under HarvestMap, you can still use both those addons. At least it works for me, I've returned to ESO after months off, and have played for many hours the last several days, with no crashes.Hi,
for me, the Add-On HarvestMap & HarvestMap-Data seems to be the problem. Uninstall the Add-On with remove of Saved-Variables solved the problem.
Now no crashes anymore...
not running any add-ons and i cant even get to the logon page it crashed on me during the intro movies. been talking with tech support since the day the patch came out and not resolved yet. i want the money back i paid for eso plus. I stupidly paid for a year less than a month ago and now i cant play the game. unless compensation is made i wont be buying anything else.
For some of us, the culprit was a software program called: "Process Hacker", which can be used to force process priority for things, specifically ESO's poorly designed I/O priority requirements, which can literally prevent keystrokes and delay mouse movements outside of the game window, IF you happen to be muti-tasking.
After closing said program, ESO launched just fine and remained stable.
My "speculation" is that the dev's are following some directive by some senior management person, to change ESO so that it will actively search for and detect other processes running on a PC, and force-close itself if it detects said processes.
This would have to be permissible via the EULA, to prevent litigation.
The only current workaround to this would be to force ESO to run sandboxed, but that's a bit more technical than most players would have the patience for, or familiarity with.
ZOS's top thread about the issues states turning off hiding pets in town should help crashing in town. If you are looking for specific game settings, I'd say lowering view distance, particle density, and shadow quality(maybe texture quality) may help.Any idea what else should i disable to avoid crashed in big cities?
Looking at this thread many crashes seem to be related to third party software: add-ons, process hacker and who know what else players use(manually adjusting settings file, etc). My guess on why it detects process hacker has to do with players trying to hack the game, so anything else that touches ESO's processes is detected as a manipulation of the game itself. Not saying process hacker isn't beneficial to players, but I think that is the reason. Players should be very very very careful when using third party programs. Just look at how ZOS is blamed for players crashing, while it is third party software that causes the issue. Regardless of if it worked before, it is still third party software. Use at your own risk. After closing said program, ESO launched just fine and remained stable.

Assuming you tried everything else: Updating drivers, repairing gamefiles, removing third party programs, checked/lowered your settings, etc. And everything else suggested by ZOS or in all the crashing threads.Having the same issue, haven't been able to play for days. I can usually log in, select my character, and enjoy 2 minutes of scenery before the game crashes...no notification, just closes itself. I've tried everything mentioned on this forum and have had no luck yet. PC specs are fine.
