4 crashes in 5 minutes since servers opened from new patch

They basically destroyed the game. This hideous update needs to be removed urgently!!! Everything is destroyed with or without addons seems impossible to play more than 10 minutes without crashs. I'm crashing opening chests, whispering players, talking to NPCs, starting a group dungeon, playing ToT... I already quit playing on Galen and don't plan to return there, but it's also crashing everywhere. When crashing I'm losing progress and items picked minutes before. The game is ruined. The update is absolutely hateful. Just kill it! Put it on PTS until it's tested and reupdate when it's playable. Please! Remove the update and let us play the game in peace.

Last roll back i lost a aetherial dust, its not much, but i lost some survey map as well and raw mats just vanish

I CTDed 4 times. I disabled nodedetection and the CTD stopped, but then I started crashing to the character select and when logging back in, any progress was rolled back. I've given up for the day. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow.

Am I reading the dev update correctly that they will not be able to fix the crashing until November 14th? How can you have crashes every other minute and leave that in place for 2 weeks??

I had an interesting experience along these lines.

I'm missing seals of endeavors in spite of the endeavors saying "completed"- I also logged in and out of the character after completing each of the endeavors in an attempt to ensure the data would be saved.

Upon logging back in, the endeavors were still there and all seemed fine.

However, I suddenly crashed to the title screen (not the character select screen) when attempting to port into blackwood to complete the last endeavor.

Now it seems the 20 seals of endeavors I gained from the first two endeavors have disappeared, in spite of the endeavors being listed as "complete". (I'm pretty sure I checked the correct amount before completing my endeavors, sadly I don't have a screenshot as I only found out about these issues later, but I'm quite sure they are missing as it just doesn't add up)

The weirdest part is that the exp gained did not go missing- the character leveled, and the levels/exp remained, in spite of my endeavors being missing.

I submitted a support ticket, hopefully I'll get the 20 endeavors back.

@ZOS_Kevin I don't know if my weird experience gives you any insight into what is going wrong with this, but its pretty odd that it wasn't a complete rollback.

Yes. All crashing currently will do so for the next two weeks.

username @tatica, this was on the EU server, but have chars on NA and haven't even tried. I mean, why bother?

Game is currently unplayable as is, for me anyway. I even rebooted my computer, deleted temp files etc.

zos, you lose this one. Two weeks? You gotta be kidding.

Disabling NodeDetection seems to have helped significantly with stability... about 25 minutes of continuous operation, versus crashing every 90 seconds. All other addons remain enabled. FYI.

Yeah the 2 week delayed fix for what they broke is great.

This needs to be rolled back. A large number of us play with addons simply because they provide features that should already exist in the game, and the game is a lot less useable without them. If this isn't going to be fixed for a few weeks, then I'm just going to put ESO on hold until then, it's not worth the hassle.

Wait, What???? Nothing other than a minor fix for two weeks?

This is not the kind of thing that builds customer confidence in the company. Didn't one of the devs just tell us all to "trust them"?

I feel like that announcement is basically telling us to not even try to play until Nov. 15th and then see where they're at.

Why can't they just revert U36 for the time being?

no there is gonna be new servers to start on from level 1 with no character transfers. The 'legacy' servers will still remain on New World

I can confirm that all disabled addons and also libraries solve the crash to desktop bug.

I wish I had something to report.. but with No addon's and No libraries activated Still crashes to desk top with no message on a PC, not tried my Mac yet.. And really? I don't want to play ESO without the use of an addon anyway, no mini map or writ helper or.. or.. the list goes on. Isn't the use of a PTS to try this out before going live? it's a shame.. but the load screen has been extremely bad last few days just going in and out of a building in the same zone takes way too much time watching the snakes spin.

Still spontaneous crashing on entering locations (like dungeons, houses, doors separated areas).

Not a thoroughly tested update (in my impression), unfortunately

Wow, this is really awful! constant crashes and no fix for weeks!?!

I hope it is addon related because what there is now is what will be coming to the console buggy or not.

I am afraid this is not the case for everyone. I disabled my add ons at the character selection screen and still experienced various types of crashes, from crashing to title to crashing to desktop.

I did as what was posted earlier....to disable Node Detection under Libs in Addons and only it (Harvest Map is still enabled) and I was able to stay on the game. And I have a ton of Addons and Libs.
Trained my mount at the Stable, done my Crafting and 2 Witches Writs, went to the Banker, did a Dolmen and a delve, harvested some mats...all in and outside of Vulkhel Guard just fine. Had to log off the game to go to an appointment though. But I was on the game for an hour or close to it without a crash. About to log back on the game now.

PS I also had turned on the Hide all pets and such in town when I was on then.

I logged in an in 45 secs I crashed. Relaunched, was able to get to character selection, picked character and crashed. Time was 6:49pm EST

My experience so far today.......

I spent most of the afternoon watching TV and reading the horrors on these forums.

About 5pm UK time I finally switched on my PC and did the update, I then loaded into the character select screen and switched off every addon except for about 6 or 7 I cannot live without. My thinking was I'll try it out. if there are any problems I'll turn off the rest!

It's now nearly 11pm in the UK, I have been playing all that time and had absolutely no issues. Got my tickets and all my Dremora Skulls(except for Trial), I did most of those in High Isle and a couple in base game. I've also done all my crafting dailies(7 characters) and refilled my stores a couple of times

The only thing I have TOTALLY avoided is going anywhere near the new zone. could that have some relation to my lack of problems? How can experiences be so different??

man, this is BS personally they took a day to break the least they can do is just put the patch in what about all the other problems players are having like me where i literally couldn't update my game at all till I completely uninstalled the game and then had to reinstall the game just to update now i have to do that process all over again tomorrow cause that wasn't fixed.

If you read what Gina said there will bo NO patch after maintenance you should be fine. 😀

Me too, I played 5 minutes and then the game just closes, I updated my drivers I though was fixed but was not............ I have invested so much in TESO, the worst thing an online game can offer is unstability.

I don't have Harvest Map nor the associated library, and I disabled the other addons just in case, so I didn't experience any crashes, though I only logged in to get the event tickets, and didn't travel to the new zone.
