Was able to log a character in to High Isle. Tried to port to Glenumbra. Game shuts down inelegantly (no error messages). Logged back into account. Tried to log same character in. Character attempted to load into Glenumbra. Game shuts down inelegantly.

PC/NA, non Steam.

Same as forum username, PC NA. Crash is complete crash to desktop, no error message for me.

No. As if the process was killed.

However, I turned my addons off and am able to stay in game.

Took a boat to Valyn, all fine. Picked up dailies. Rode out onto the island - crashed to desktop.

Restarted game, loaded character, rode 2 meters - crashed to desktop.

So yeah I got crashed but in some weird way.
After logging in I took the daily quest for vents, went to an active vent and almost finished the fight there. Then out of the blue I was kicked back to the screen where you choose your character, I logged in again but found myself in the city, where I left my character yesterday, as if the progress from those couple of minutes never happened.

I'm up to my 3rd toon for writs, and it's CTD'd about 12 times, so far... not in the same stages of progression, either.
several more CTDs since post, still trying to turn 3rd toon's writs in.
they're all in Rimmen.
Except for the CTDs while logging in or looking at loading screens.
