If you have the old stuff you should get greater weighting towards the new style page. You can’t sell that old stuff, you can only give it away. If you’re lucky, that is.

Servant Motif?

I got 1 (or maybe 2) Witchmother's Motifs, but only Dremoras otherwise and I think all my alts know all those now!

Another day, another 7 boxes and none of the new motif, so out of 36 boxes I've gotten ONE of the new motif.

No memento either, but a friend gave me one. I can buy them off a trader, money isn't the issue, but it's just annoying.

Also thank you to whoever posted the eighth box, I'd forgotten about the one for trials.

Finally got the Witchmother Servant sash. That’s one page. Getting inundates however with the Gravedancer and Dremora pages.

Admittedly, Sammy is only doing three or four boss types per day as opposed to eight. But is it really necessary to make players grind for this, and is this what to expect for the Skyrim and New Life events later this year? Please, ZOS, just do the right thing and make events celebratory and fun.

Still after getting all daily gold boxes save for trial/arenas/Crowborne (really don't feel like doing Crowborne more than once an event) since event start, I only have the breeches to my name. I did get the new momento twice, which was nice so I could learn one and give my friend, who really wanted it, my other one.

Drop rate on the new style page is actually worse than Oaken was during High Isle event. I don't particularly care, but making an observation which seems to be shared by many.

<<<<<<This right here. It seems there really is no reason at all to participate in the event if you've been playing for a few years. Yet I keep doing the daily in the off chance something NEW might be pulled from the plunder skulls. Yes the crow quest was something new a while back but the rewards are just junk, you get better things by just playing tails of tribute against NPCs like transmute crystals etc.

Problem is that drop rate does not take into account that the only source of the motif are gold boxes.

^ Those only drop once per account for each boss type. Not to mention that we don't have trial group finder and arenas are purely dlc content (on top of being hardest solo content in the game).

So for the most people it is only 5 or 6 attempts per day if they solo the event boss or group for it.

Drop rate would have been fine if new motives would drop from regular Plunder Skulls too, but those only drop from golden ones.

I consider myself lucky as I got 4 out of 8 new items (7 motives + 1 memento). I plan to buy the rest from event ticket merchant as I still should have 10 event tickets left for the next event. And guild traders prices are some kind of joke. I think I am gonna save my gold.

The result of artificially low drop rate is that players who don't have much gold and maybe have some missing items from previous events will actually have to pay rl cash to get enough event tickets if they want to collect It all. It is imho no longer a "conspiracy theory" - but rather a real problem we are facing. Events are supposed to be a fun celebration... but this ain't fun...

Admittedly I haven't gotten all the gold skulls I could (just 3 each day) but I've only gotten the belt piece, and no memento.

I bought the jerkin and breeches with tickets.

I am happy with the Dramora Motif Drops, I almost have enough to learn it on all 17 of my characters... even if only my main crafts anything... (this is an example of Sarcasm if you can't detect it)

On the other hand, it would be nice if these new styles from the events were in fact motifs and not style pages, then I could make armors in that style... but it would be nice if the drop rate for them were higher or I could trade the old style pages for the new style pages, say 1 of each old style page combined could be traded for one new style page (random, curated or based on the old style pages)

1. Make new drops are so extremely low that you use tickets to buy it.

2. Not enough tickets then buy up the tickets you need in the crown store.

I have stopped caring about Ticket Motifs. Either the drop like candy and become worthless or the rate is so low that they force you to buy them.

I've been treating the boxes as if they Witchmother's Servant pages are once-per-day. I don't have any evidence that they are, it just seems more and more common each year, and doesn't hurt.

So as soon as I open a box and get a WS style page, I stop opening new boxes until reset (unless I need feathers for the quest).

Fifth day, got no new style page again. I'd rather have too many rewards than none. Not getting any rewards makes events feel terrible.

The point of events is to have fun and to get things you can only get for a very limited time during those events. Not getting limited time event items, is sucking the fun out of events. Even if it is only one or two days without rewards.

Limited time events should not have limited drops.

PS: If ZOS wants to make money off an event they should create a notable home for every event theme, and only sell it during the corresponding event. Like the witches home, but much bigger.

Doing 3-4 gold boxes a day for the last four days. Got one on the first day, got the chest today.

(along with 3 haunting runeboxes, 3 bonedust, and a variety of weapon styles)



Of course, I don't really care much about the new style, which increases my odds of drops.

Caved. Went and bought a couple of the servant motifs with gold at the traders on semi-decent pricing.

Ezabi the Banker was frowning the whole time but what can you do? It’s nice to actually wear Halloween themed outfits before and on the day, not after, you know

This one suspects that ZOS staff are all those annoying types who save up their Easter eggs (or other holiday equivalent sweets but who in their right mind can resist gulab jamun??!) , not eat them until October when the chocolate has turned white

I don't think I've seen *any* of those motifs.

Definitely getting a lot of older/not valuable stuff. Frustrating, but I guess that's how it goes.

The drop rate is perfectly fine. The style should remain something special. And besides, the pages can at least be sold at a good price. Please don't change this again. In the last few years, the drop rate for such pages has been far too high. I still remember how stuffed the guild bank used to be, with golden style pages. If you want the style immediately, you have to collect skulls or invest some gold or event tokens. Nothing wrong with that. Where's the fun if everything is given to you for free without any effort?

ive most commonly gotten the witchmother servant outfit pages from doing the plucking the crow quest at least once a day, because that quest now has its own unique gold skull, and this appears to have slightly different drops than the 7 standard gold skulls

I disagree. Events are not supposed to be about profiting off of other players. They should be short, fun and grant you everything the event has to offer with minimal daily participation. Rewards should be guaranteed (with participation), and not subjected to RNG. Events should also not be a mind-numbing grind fest.

I’m not even going for the full motif ATM, my goal is to unlock skills on my newly-CP-ranked Necromancer and unlocking stickerbook items for the base zones that are normally dead and hard to get world boss kills on. That I know is achievable.

Pro tip: save about a half dozen purple skulls at the end of each day, then you can open them for feathers the next day without having to waste a gold box.
