And to be very fair the Russians won WWII.

It is not too much to ask people to publicly speak english.

I am afraid you've missed the point. I would prefer if every language had it's own chat chanell, and general zone chat should remain EN. But the point of this thread is to request support of a whole group of letters that are used in languages of countries where the game has officially launched.i am against this as well. Preferably id suggest any and all public chats should be english only and misuse should have repercussions.
Oh and im from Finland. I speak Swedish,Finnish,English & French. It is not too much to ask people to publicly speak english.
Considering its an international game. I will never ever respond to the french people trying to talk to me in group chat after a LFG grouped me up with them even though i understand and speak their language.
I am Russian by myself and I hate Russian.
No really. I am 100% serious.
And who are you to tell others what to do?Go ahead, add it for guilds but BAN from zone chat.
Want a game with russian in chat, go play Allods
Why? People want to isolate them from other people they dislike. This is effective tool to achieve this goal. Why should they care?So much misonception here... Saying that support of Cyrillic should not be added because nobody likes Russians is extremely stupid.
Unfortunately, seeing cyrillic in chat will limit mine.I may not like the fact,m that I see constant DE and FR in global zone chat, but I keep my concerns to myslef because those people are equal to me in their right to play the game the way they see fit (if it doesn't limit my ability to enjoy the game).
I am not Russian, and yet I understand Russian and Ukrainian along with English. The game launch was world-wide (well, except for China),and the game is officially available in my country. As long as ZOS is fine with taking my money for service, I shall be able to voice my concerns with the game:
Some people prefer to use their native language while comunicating with other people that understand that language. It is their right and they should be able to do so.

You can not automatically translate from Russian without errors. At least Google Translate fails all the time when sentence is more complex than "I take a shower every day". IMO Russian is much more complex than English in general.Censorious wrote: »What we really need is automatic translation.
My browser does a fair job of translating text. Something like that would be most useful.
Of course it would depend on people being able to write properly (In their own language, mind - that's not guaranteed)
I sincerely hope they never, ever add this. In every game it's the same thing, you guys completely take over all chats with your spam that only you can read until no one else can be bothered to use the chats anymore.
Learn English like the rest of us non-English speaking people.
Nothing against you guys, but it ruins the chat channels for everyone else.

Just use ignor.
I am strongly against to adding russian translation to EU megaserver and giving you ability to write in cyrylica in /zone chats.
