    Just to add here, while I see this thread started in September 6, this been a ongoing bug been happening to me since around August 28 on NA PC Steam & Windows. ZOS devs, if you listened to one of the first to report on this (referring of myself & some others) & acted sooner, console players likely wouldn't be dealing with this right now with Update 35.

    The siblings were separated at a young age due to a Dres slaver raid, Blue, Cobalt, Ros-Ei & their mother were able to escape, Crimson & Bone weren't that lucky. Crimson was later "rescued" by some Orcs that later ambushed the House Dres Dunmers, unfortunately one Dunmer remained & sadly successfully brought the young Bone-Thuxis to the Dres plantation. Later an Imperial, a Tharn, bought Bone at a auction & later told he was free, the young Argonian sadly had no idea where to go & doesn't know if his family was still alive, so the Tharn adopted him into House Tharn. This family of Argonians finally reunited years later.

    Some ESO history: I originally started from PS4 NA during June 10, 2015, I did reached CP 810+ on there. I eventually kinda got tired of paying PS+, so during February 4, 2019 I started moving to PC NA. Also CP: 810+. Nowadays I play ESO PC mostly, while PS4 is dust.

    I've been getting this going into every dungeon, no matter which role I am on the Series X.

    The worst part is when restarting the game and people in the group kick you and have to wait 15 min to queue again.

    I’m now getting it every load screen. This is whack . I mean… come on, this is beyond a joke. Heavy attacks = never fixed. Refreshing Path = never acknowledged. I still have the role description randomly come up on screen and stop me moving… that’s a 5 year old bug that also went uncared for. When people claim the game is breaking and Zenimax don’t care… it’s comments like “mash your buttons to fix it” from someone high up that make us feel exhausted, frustrated and exasperated by the entire game.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno this is insane. Y'all need to push an emergency hot fix for this. It's ridiculous to expect us to deal with this until the "next incremental patch". Either that or be prepared to replace people's controllers from worn out or damaged X buttons.

    Especially during the Undaunted Celebration, which at this point I have to consider to be jinxed.

    After queueing for dungeon, occasionally the role selector will just pop up and block movement the same way the UI error does. Have video also if needed.mrriiay2gekn.png

    Unrelated. This happens to me since day one on TESO, years ago. To remove this banner, go into your menu, group: you’ll see your cursor positioned on one of the 3 roles at the top, you only need to move down and close your menu.

    For the bug discussed in this thread, I can confirm that getting out of the menu one step at the time (several presses on O) instead of closing it with 1 press on Start or the pad, helps not to trigger the issue. Also, if it happens, spamming X closes the message after a few seconds.

    Read the error message, “activity finder template” listed repeatedly. It could very well be related.

    I hope you understand how bad this bug is, eso has a ton of bugs but something that forces you to close the game is horrible. Whenever i close the game and see my list of games i say to myself that "maybe it's better to play something else". I'm sure a lot of other players have the same thought proccess, so you better don't leave it until next patch. "Just press X 50 times bro" is not a solution

    On PS/EU I get it every dungeon I queue for currently. Deleted save game file as suggested somewhere, nothing changed.

    Exactly this. I love this event and look forward to it each year… but yesterday twice I did this. Closed app, and played a different game. I came very close to deleting the app and cancelling all 3 of our households ESO plus… and honestly still might. On top of all the other frustrating issues this is just yet another example of complacency that has crept in to the studios… and I don’t mean that in a way to cause arguments or anything… it’s just a factual observation from years upon years of neglect for fixing bugs.

    Totally agree. I mean brushing this under the rug is not only naive, it's tantamount to self destructive as many players are finding this the final straw in a long line of disatisfaction and mistrust with Zenimax Online Studios. We've continually endured nothing but terrible customer service, negligent maintenance of bugs/fixes, broken promises, endless changes and nerfs... and honestly, now you're asking us to destroy our own hardware (our controllers): in order to play the game WE PAID YoU TO PLAY??? I'm sorry... this is quite disgusting. It's an absolute abhorrent insult to your customers - [snip]

    These may seem strong words, but I think it's time honest conversations were had. There is no malice behind anything I'm saying, nor is it intended to be aimed at any individual - it's merely a request for the staff of ZoS to wake up and start to do the bare minimum of what is required - maintain the game we are paying you to maintain.

    As noted above, this is happening both when using activity finder and when not grouped. I am using a PS5 on PS/NA server. I get the UI error often when traveling via wayshrine, or to a house. When I use activity finder, and I am crown (either a pre-made group or PUG), I get this UI error every time I travel into a dungeon. I can dismiss the UI error by hitting the Dismiss button many times.

    Separately, while grouped with a family member while doing quests yesterday, their voice chat stopped working at least three times during about an hour of playing together. Each time requiring them to close the game and restart.

    Sometimes the UI disappears completely. No option to even spam buttons. This is awful, and the lag is horrendous

    I’m not sure yet, but this might be another one tied to Performance Mode because in Fidelity I haven’t had it for hours now…. (Xbox Series S )

    Also on XBox NA. Presently been experiencing it going into and out of The Dread Cellar. Able to dismiss it by pressing A between 20 and 200 times. Exact number may vary. Please, prioritize this before we all develop repetitive stress injuries.

    Totally sure. I can show you if ya like? Or just go anywhere there are 4 or more people and watch your frame rate drop… and everyone else around you… their frame rate drops too. Most guilds and trial crowns will boot you from content if you insist on running it. Can’t blame them either… it’s absolutely the pits…

    I can't believe this hasn't been fixed for the Undaunted event. The UI Error literally references the LFG tool. They can't find a way to make one button press dismiss the error?

    Refreshing Path was most definitely not fixed on PC. Horrible fps drops just last night from it.

    In the past, this bug seems to have occurred together with housing permissions changing unintentionally. It’s caused by the game not properly backing out of the menu, so your left axis stick is still navigating the menu you can’t see. That’s why leaving the group menu on a row other than role selection, or leaving the housing menu on a row other than the permissions selection, stops it from having a noticeable effect in game. It is still a very impactful bug (obscures the screen, as you showed, or causes others to have different housing permissions) and should be fixed. Again.

    I've been having the same problem and what I've noticed is that it only happens to me when queuing for specific dungeons. It doesn't happen if I travel in with a group, and it doesn't happen with randoms. I have been able to get rid of it by spamming A, sometimes over 100 times, but then it will comeback every time I change zones. The only way to get rid of it completely is to close the game. Then it doesn't come back until I queue for a specific dungeon again.

    I echo what many others are saying. This is getting to the point of a last straw situation. For this to be happening during the Undaunted event is inexcusable and for there to be zero updates since posting the support article with the "solution" is frustrating to say the least. This has been my biggest issue with this game time and time again. It's not the bugs, it's that the dev team goes silent about the bug once it acknowledged. Rarely is there an update or a timeline for it to be fixed, we simply get "will be fixed in a future update". Well this isn't something that can be dealt with in "in a future update" it needs a hot fix ASAP. The end game trials community is dying thanks to the rapid dramatic changes to the game over the past year, now we can't even run dungeons during the undaunted event without resetting the game. This is terrible.

    Not only that, they drop a dungeon dlc and if you queue for those dungeons you have to wreck your controllers to make them work… according to the solution offered by @ZOS_GinaBruno … btw… I have actually now gotten a broken controller. Which I’ll be sending back to Sony with a note as to why I think it’s broken. Hopefully the warranty covers it… but if not I’ll send the paperwork to ZoS…
