That is not really a good solution, though, is it? I mean, oh just press a button 50 times and then you can play the game until you have to press the same button 50 times a couple minutes later. Sheesh.

Unrelated. This happens to me since day one on TESO, years ago. To remove this banner, go into your menu, group: you’ll see your cursor positioned on one of the 3 roles at the top, you only need to move down and close your menu.
For the bug discussed in this thread, I can confirm that getting out of the menu one step at the time (several presses on O) instead of closing it with 1 press on Start or the pad, helps not to trigger the issue. Also, if it happens, spamming X closes the message after a few seconds.

Gina - ZOS should not wait on this. About 4 people in my guild alone are experiencing this on a repetitive, daily basis. Lots of people on Facebook ESO groups as well are talking about it. This is a widespread issue and it's effecting people multiple times during a play session of only a couple of hours.
I'm getting this when changing zones on xbox.
Also, I can't clear it; I have to close the game and relog. The game will not accept any input except the right and left sticks when this message is up.
As noted above, this is happening both when using activity finder and when not grouped. I am using a PS5 on PS/NA server. I get the UI error often when traveling via wayshrine, or to a house. When I use activity finder, and I am crown (either a pre-made group or PUG), I get this UI error every time I travel into a dungeon. I can dismiss the UI error by hitting the Dismiss button many times.
Separately, while grouped with a family member while doing quests yesterday, their voice chat stopped working at least three times during about an hour of playing together. Each time requiring them to close the game and restart.
I’m now getting it every load screen. This is whack . I mean… come on, this is beyond a joke. Heavy attacks = never fixed. Refreshing Path = never acknowledged. I still have the role description randomly come up on screen and stop me moving… that’s a 5 year old bug that also went uncared for. When people claim the game is breaking and Zenimax don’t care… it’s comments like “mash your buttons to fix it” from someone high up that make us feel exhausted, frustrated and exasperated by the entire game.

I've tried Refreshing Path a few times since 35 dropped and not got the same lag that I was prior..are you sure it wasn't fixed?
