    Rofl...see my old posts from when DF was nerfed, and they gave us the shittiest skill. Living dark, old total dark was ten times better. More heals, more damage. Although no stun. Templar been getting nerfed since day one and has been the *** of ESO. We had what a year of being decent? (For some reason people who don't understand how to play against templar thought we were S tier?) Even though we are decent we still are locked into having *** native defense and were stuck on backbar spamming honor the dead. We've NEVER been able to achieve the super damage and super defense at the same time as every other class has had. Were either super tank and hit like limp noodle killing only bads or were super high damage that can't get a full rotation off before we die to a fart in the wind.

    Honestly I think I'm done...spent hundreds of dollars on this game since 2014...but I just can't fathom how a game can be so poorly managed and balanced...sad...terrible gameplay, the storytelling has gotten worse...just running out of reasons to like the game

    The parses are coming out, Rapid Strikes is better than Puncturing Sweep on magplar. The main reason I loved that class and made one my main is destroyed lol. Why? Why destroy Templar's identity like this?

    No worries, you're not the only one in that boat. I just canceled my sub yesterday and won't be playing until I see a change to the patch notes.... but honestly, even then I'll be hesitant to come back. It feels like ZOS doesn't know their own game. Every "balance" change they make just seems questionable and misguided.... meanwhile they use that same so called balancing as an excuse not to give players actual content they want.... and honestly, I simply don't trust them or what their intentions are. Like seriously haha when I play ESO lately, I feel like someone who is willingly sitting in a burning car despite the doors being unlocked.

    Because taking away what you like so you try something different, again, is what the devs at ESO are all about! That way you play the game more. And maybe spend more.

    to help new players! destroying the most used and beginner friendly class patch by patch, nerfing his damage more than other classes and changing a good animation with this pool noodle is the best way to "close the delta" and to give new players a well balanced and super engaging game. Well done zos!

    Just give old jabs animation, remove 1 of the "normal" stabs and keep the third last hitting stap like that. It's a realistic move, like a deep jab. Also if you really want a "real" spear particle, just add a real spear in it that is gold opaque but not like a *** yellow noodle that bends when he turns for 3rd strike.. this animation is so weird. Why would anyone turn around his axle for a spear jab. A long reach is more likely than a turn around the axle. You're at a chance that your spear breaks on the wooden part then when you come in for the strike and someone parries. Like ***.

    I mean it's just the Night Hollow staff. You can get that motif in game; I know because I use it. On my templar. Feels like they were trying to hide that.
    Anyway, the old Jabs animation hits 4 times. If you just slapped that onto the new 3 strikes, it would look awkward. They should just use the old animation full stop, reduce the cast time to .8 seconds by speeding up the animation slightly, and then if they must, nerf the damage a bit. Not enough to gut the skill as they currently have, as right now in the PTS, Rapid Strikes is better and Jabs has become one of the worst class spammables in the game. But a controlled amount. I dunno why ZoS does these sledgehammer nerfs every quarter, rather than introducing very small adjustments every couple weeks. Big swinging changes every quarter hurt the game and shock the players. Small incremental changes every few weeks would be much more reasonable and easier to swallow.

    Could be that he still supports vamplars. On a serious note they likely choose it because it looked as close to a spear.

    I dunno, been playing since beta, always subbed, Templar all the way, love the whole Holy Warrior vibe, if these changes do go live, I genuinely think I’m done, still has been a blast!

    Jabs did git a bit over toasted.

    The new animation looks bad IMO (though I've seen some that like it), but looks slow and boring instead of as dynamic as it used to look. Though that's not as bad as the rapid strikes animation - my god lol.

    One of the things I enjoy about some classes is when the class skills are worth using as much or more than weapon skills so my characters don't all feel same-y. So seeing that weapon spammables might take the place of jabs for my templar just fits with all the other changes in the notes that look to make combat more boring.

    Exactly. I mean look at the new Rapid Strikes; they didn't even make a new animation for it! they just took two light attack animations, smashed it together, and called it "new." SMH.

    Yea, that's the weirdest change. I actually laughed when I saw that and still can't believe it's serious it's so bad.

    Maybe they figure if it looks like two light attacks, then we won't know the difference between players using skills and players that do nothing but light attack spam.
