What's second person? Commanding a servant to play for you to watch?
It was actually humor, but according to @amig186 above, someone actually invented a 2nd-person view game.

This one plays in 2nd person, zoomed in close, where he is always making eye contact with his on-screen personality. Best way to enjoy the limitless sleekness.

..although khajiit does end up often walking off ledges and such. But he lands on his feet, yes?

I played the Murkmire story quests in first person. Other than that, I almost always play in third person.

I only use first-person for screenshots.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

I dislike firs prson in pretty much all game but even more in rpg. It just not enjoyable to me. Why would i spend hours creating outfit for my characters if im to almost never see them? So my only use for fp is a "presision view" to see smaller thing or loot stuff in games like skyrim

Third person mostly but some first person too
I don't like 3rd person in RPGs, or more specifically, I hate the off-to-one-side over-the-shoulder perspective. When using 3rd person, my character has to be in the centre of the screen, the cursor pointing directly in front of them. I.e. where it would be if I played in first person. I don't understand that off-centre position, it's annoying as hell. Luckily, ESO lets you change that.
It also lets you change the field of view and camera position for 1st person, which is good.

I still play a lot of overland quests in 1st person. Esp. when I take a few hours to specifically go play the quests (instead of just rushing through a thing I randomly run into on my way to somewhere else). And screenshots.

Everything else in 3rd person. It's bearable, and combat is obviously designed for that.

    About half and half
I almost always play first person view if I'm doing things like world content, questing, etc. But if I do group content it's max zoomed-out third person always.

That being said, even when I'm questing I sometimes press F just to see my character walk around in the world or attack something, etc. I like being able to admire the outfit I paid so much gold to put together hahah. But even then it's at the max zoomed-in third person and I very quickly go back to first person to continue questing etc.

Honestly, ESO has set a new bar for me in terms of expectations for new MMOs I feel like trying. Immersion is very big for me, and if an MMO doesn't have action combat and a first person option, I don't even consider playing it anymore.

3rd person Always! So many ground aoes, effects, gankers etc you can't easily see in 1st person. Whenever you do grouped content, especially as a healer or tank, you generally need to be able to see where the members of your team are at all times which is hard to do in 1st person.

Depends on the activity. Pvp, dungeons and arenas 3rd person.
    Questing first person.
