No Credit for Avarice of the Eldertide?

Jumped in to help out with the WB area. Was killing things and helping out, but I get no credit for the daily quest? I didn't get hits on the right mob so I get no credit?

I had the same bug, had to kill it twice. Went all the way back to the city, realised I somehow didn't get credit, then had to go all the way back. I got loot from it, so I for sure Qualified. It worked the second time somehow, but still.

Been having this issue for 2 days now, not getting credit for the daily, nor is the icon on my map turning white.

That happened to me a few days ago. To add insult to injury, when I killed the WB again and handed in the quest, the achievement counter didn't advance. That's the only time it's happened so far for that particular achievement.

I waited about 1/2 hour later on for the same WB to spawn (with several other players around and NO ONE SPAWNED!

Something is horked up here.

I also encountered this bug. Killed the bosses but did not get credit for the daily quest. So had to wait about ~45 minutes for the boss to respawn. I tried submitting an in-game bug report but it never went through, just kept spinning like it was hung up.

Edit:
Also wanted to add that one of the WB daily quests for High Isle did not count towards the achievement. Not sure which one it was but the count is off even though I've done each of the three quests every day.

A better question is was the problem found and will it be fixed anytime soon?

I found a solution to get credit for the boss kills. Don't loot the eggs until after you kill the bosses. If you already have, then drop the quest and re-acquire it.

Good idea. I usually clear those out first.

I've had this happening a couple of times, and I was told that getting the side objectives first before killing the boss works with getting the credit, so I tried that on another occasion and indeed it worked. Not sure if it was a coincidence but worth trying if someone else has that issue as well.

Good idea. I usually clear those out first.

In my case I killed one of the two bosses (first was already dead), THEN looted the geodes. No credit for the boss kill. Waited for a respawn, killed both bosses, still no credit. Dropped quest... Picked up same quest from another player, but then the boss simply wouldn't respawn... (PC/NA). Abandoned quest again, moved on...

I have noticed some quest issues even outside of High Isle WBs.

I also killed the boss first and then took the geodes and didn’t get credit. Came back later and tried again (still had geodes) and it didn’t work then either.

The second time I noticed there are two bosses, and everyone else went for the guy so I started fighting the girl. I wonder if this is bugged in that you have to deal a certain amount of damage to both for it to give credit. That is problematic because the two do not fight in the same area. It would also be different than the other two boss world boss locations that I have done.

Yesterday I had the exact same issue with the horrible faun world boss. Not interacting with the three interaction points prior to killing the boss didn't help at all. Before the recent patch this had only happened to me with the Eldertide bosses.

I think they did something that negatively impacted these, sometimes. I have seen similar error in the rest of the game, but not all the time.

Tired of this quest not counting when I kill them.

I got this boss for the daily and no one was around, so I thought maybe if I could solo it I would get credit. Bastion and I wiped the first time, then about halfway through the second try another player came around and we finished it and I got credit.

I did not pick up the three geodes first, but trying that before was not enough. During the battle I tried to keep attacking whichever boss Bastion was not tanking and to clear the adds as fast as possible. I don’t know if that helped or if it was plain luck, but I’m glad to have finally completed it.

This is still a problem and has been for a couple months. Why isn't this fixed yet?

Can confirm this is STILL a bugged daily. I have reported this like 4 times now through the bug reporter. Why can't this get fixed?

So, I do have (and found) a solution to guaranteeing a clear for the quest.

After multiple attempts and tests, I've noticed that this bug happens when the expanding AOE from one of the bosses is growing. It starts as a big thick pink (or whatever color you gave enemy aoes set to) circle, and expands into larger and larger rings.

Between the rings, a smaller, thin ring can be seen expanding, which as it hits certain parts of the arena craeates the thick ground AOEs. If you kill the bosses while this thin ring is expanding, the bug happens. Waiting for the ring to drop the AOE or for it to disappear (watch the outside, there's a third ring and it goes a bit farther before disappearing) before landing the killing blow, then you're all set.

This quest has been a known issue since the release of High Isle. It planned to get rectified? I cannot even keep track of how many countless hours I have wasted in killing this WB only to have to come back or wait for INSAINELY long wait times because kill credit is not given.

Come on ZOS, this has been a problem for the last 2 months.

The lack of progress on things like this is a major downer for the game.
