DO NOT BUY HIGH ISLE IF YOU WANT CERTAIN MYTHIC ITEMS

I find the Psijic line a lot of fun. I'm not really bothered about the mythics at the moment. I think I might want the Oakensoul Ring eventually, but I'll be happy to wait for it.

Their attitude is... "we want to give them something to keep them playing the game"... instead they give us content that makes us want to QUIT the game! They really need to get a grasp between 'time well spent' and 'wasting player's time'. MMOs are meant to include some grind, not a virtual dead end. Basically, it feels like them saying, "let's dangle something in front of them, but put it behind a wall that only a few die-hard players will actually be able to get". It's not fun, it's not 'time well spent' and it's not even a "grind"... it's a WALL!!

Its amazing that the horrible Psijic line disaster didn't teach ZOS anything. Or maybe it did. We are still here. [snip]

While I do not particularly like the Psijic grind, it does make players travel throughout a world that would otherwise be empty.
When I first started the game, it was exciting to see players running all throughout the world. It put life in the game. But years later, if you leveled a new toon through questing, you would hardly see anybody. It was essentially a dead world outside of npcs and mobs. I think that ZoS purposely makes us travel to give reason to visit zones that we don't visit anymore, to put more life in the world outside of the cities or newest zone. And of course, there is definitely a sales side to this. If you don't have ESO+, then you may need to purchase a zone.

There are many things I don't like about this mythic grind. Especially the lockpick Murkmire safebox fiasco. But I'll throw out a hint to anyone doing the Psijic grind. - While grinding Psijic, grab any overland skyshards along the way. And then que up for under 50 battlegrounds. You'll get lost of skill points doing this to unlock all of your passives to enjoy pvping more.

I think if the grind really bothered people that much they’d just quietly go away.

That's an absolute type of logic which doesn't really apply.
People play for different reasons, I was only able to enjoy the game a bit more when I stopped caring for gear sets, as I said, the only way to make the story an actual challenge is to nerf yourself, which makes that tedious and dumb grinding even more worthless.

I bought it for the trial, not the gear. I dunno if you noticed, but you can happily run a meta from 4 years ago and be fine.
mythics and new sets are nice to haves, not must haves

[Edit: Apparently many players are getting this fast. Not sure why it's not dropping for me.]

The Sea Silver Chain lead for the Sea-Serpent's Coil is absolutely unacceptable. It's 10x worse than the Murkmire safebox lead. It's a random drop chance from a Jewelry Survey which are random drops from Daily Writ rewards.

    It's n^2 difficulty to acquire.

I have 1 character with 200+ days played and hundreds of millions of gold. I don't do daily writs.

Now all of a sudden I have to either
    1. wait weeks or months to get the lead, or
    2. start making alts just to farm the lead and delete those alts when I'm done
This is by far the worst mythic lead I've ever had to acquire.

Ah, so that's where I did get the Sea Silver Chain lead.
