    ESO is now a Microsoft product. Should "stabilize" when Service Pack 1 releases....

    Nah, ESO is more than five years old so the "service pack" will be a new app with a completely -- and pointlessly -- redesigned interface where things that used to take one click now take four or more. Oh, and there is absolutely no customization possible, and there will be a pop-up every ten minutes with an ad you have to wait 30 seconds before you can close.
    If I'm the Vestige destined to save Tamriel, what are y'all doing here?

    I dunno if it was sponsored, but it used to happen frequently on Moonguard and Wyrmrest.

    Plan for the worst case, announce that for the time, and then if everything goes right, they look like they are getting done faster. And if not, they have already planned for it, and thus no need to adjust expectations after the fact.

    It wasn't a formal thing we did planned and such, but every time we had a downtime on one server or a queue from Hades we would do it, mobs of gnomes running around all looking alike fighting like mad.

    I'm sorry for you PC/NA guys - I too had the same thing when PC/EU was having all-day maintenance.

    On the plus side, I got to create characters which I hadn't been willing to create (Argonian Magplar / heal, Bosmer Stamblade, Redguard Stam DK).

    But it really doesn't look good on them that they can't get a major launch right. All those resources spent hyping this release and it gets eclipsed by technical failure and customer anger.

    I don't think they've gotten a launch right in the last few years but this is especially bad. Something needs to change.

    I got a phone call and when I answered a creepy voice said "7 days!" Frightened, I asked if that meant I was going to be brutally murdered after 7 days, but the voice said it was just how long maintenance would take. That was even more horrifying.
    Imperial DK and Necro tank. PC/NA

    For me, I just got off work so it hasn't really affected me until now. But I have a few errands to run anyway so hopefully it will get fixed in about 30 minutes and I won't have to worry about it.

    I'd be surprised if they do. Down time, sometimes extended when things go south, is standard for any major update/expansion and to be expected.
